So John's mailbox is an inportant part of Homestuck very early on. At one point, John's dad pulls up into the driveway next to the mailbox and... Wait. The mailbox is facing the driveway. Why is the mailbox facing the driveway and not the road?

Reading the notes in Homestuck Book 2, did not really realise that Jade playing the bass to the lilypads was sort of foreshadowed when her bass playing was first introduced, because apparently it helps plants grow? I dunno.
Also the notes are just as good (if not better) than the PS ones.

OTIM: The opening scene of Act 6 Act 5 Act 2, with Caliborn watching trickster!Jane is a format callback/copy of Act 5 Act 2's opening scene of Karkat watching John.

There's a non-Flash version of the first walkaround. I never knew because I only viewed Homestuck with flash enabled. Presumably this isn't the only one?

Yes, ever since Homestuck.com was established, it has had non-flash solutions for any flash page. Some of these, especially ones in Act 1 and others that don't really rely on being synced with the music, have I think html5 files or something, which is the closest equivalent. Many of the others are simply embedded youtube videos, all of which I believe are hosted privately on Homestuck's official youtube channel. And yes, I believe with many/most/all? of the interactive pages, they have this kind of neato static page-based little minigame to navigate the dialogue options. I haven't checked them out much myself, but I know Past Karkat: Wake Up (aka alterniabound) has one of a similar style. I'm not sure how the Act 6 Intermission 3 interactive games (meenahbound/openbound) are handled, but considering they were mostly html5 games with I think an embedded flash animation within the first one to start it off, I assume that one might still be a playable game. I guess I should check that out some time.
Also, I assume over time the way these pages are handled will continue to evolve. Maybe they'll go through the trouble of recreating the first interactive games in html5 to preserve the experience. If they can find a sleeker way to do it, they might also update the ones that handle pure animation duties. I have noticed strange artifacts with them, most vitally including not syncing up with the music as the original flashes did, hence why they don't replace the majority of flash animations in the story.

I missed that Cliper Borden was not an original character to the Candy Epilogue (where he was briefly mentioned as having been sent to Jane's prison camps) and Homestuck^2 (in the Catnapped bonus story), but that he already first appeared together with Swifer Eggmop in the Credits of Homestuck, tending to the little grubs.
