Once, I thought washing ones hands provided a very interesting trade-off. One could start the faucet first and then soap their hands, wasting water. Or one could soap ones hands and then turn on the faucet, making the handle of the faucet soapy.
Sometime in college, like a strike of lightning, it occurred to me that one could put soap in ONE hand and then use the other hand to turn on the faucet. No wasted water. No soapy handle. I felt like a dumbass.

^ Haha dang. That sounds like me when I realized I could take my hands with schampoo AROUND the stream of water towards my head, instead of trying to pull them as quickly as possibly through the stream and losing half of the schampoo...
also yes ahaha I was the second highest poster in the original thread...

You can also get your hair wet first, then take your head out of the water stream to lather the shampoo in, and finally rinse the shampoo out of your hair. Hence the instructions "Wet, lather, rinse" that are on every shampoo bottle I've ever seen. Was that another obvious thing you missed or do you just not like that method?

So, in the show Animaniacs, the main characters' last names are all Warner, mostly for the sake of Yakko and Wakko being a play on the "Warner Brothers" of Warner Bros. Pictures--it's spelled out explicitly in the theme song lyrics "Come join the Warner Brothers and their Warner Sister, Dot". However, it alway stood out to me that Dot was the odd person out, since she doesn't fit into the "Warner Bros" joke. However, yesterday I realized that Dot's name is a part of the joke too! The WB logo does indeed contain the phrase "Warner Bros"... but it contains a sister dot, too.

Was that another obvious thing you missed or do you just not like that method? lmao no ok it goes like this........... .....get hair wet...... pull head out of stream to breath, apply schampoo onto hands on the other side of the stream to not get water all up in the bottle. gently join your hands together in prayer......realize that you are now doomed to keep your hands together forever ( ??). pull them as fast as you can through the stream and lose half of the schampoo. Lather. I have since then improved my methods.... umm umm new content....... today I realized that having short hair means the gusts of wind reach all the way to your scalp :s it's cold.

As a guy I have short hair and never noticed that, might be that I'm just used to it.

Or if that's not possible, just not open the shampoo bottle until you've already brought it through the water stream?

Coordinated water movements are hard. It's hard and no one understands.
There's a reason why synchronized swimming is an Olympic sport, yo.

The one I always go to when talking about "I FUCKING GET IT NOW"; Sonic. Miles "Tails" Prower. Miles Prower. Miles Per Hour. I also had a similar reaction recently to figuring out why the assistant mayor in Animal Crossing: New Leaf is named Isabelle. Because she is a bell. Or a bag of bells, rather.

Just like a month ago I found out the bells on cats' collars are supposed to warn the prey when the cat is out hunting.

I mispronounce a lot of things.
I always though you pronounced oven "oh-ven", but it was actually "uh-ven".
