It gradually more or less died out, which honestly is not too surprising, considering forums as a whole seem to be becoming less and less of a thing, with everyone moving towards more live speed discussion outlets like Discord (where you can still scroll back and read what you've missed but also talk about things in real time) the fact that we've not had any new MSPA-related content in a while, and that there's no official support for this location, it's just people looking for one and stumbling across it.

Which I find a shame, really. I find the structure of forums incredibly appealing, but they just seem to be going out of fashion these days. Live chats like discord are okay I guess, but I tend to find them a bit overwhelming. Anyway, yeah, this place is pretty much dead. A handful of forum adventures are updated regularly but that's still relatively quiet. Practically everything else is either updated very sporadically by very few people, or is entirely dormant. I tend to the Hiveswap subforum, pretty much just for fun at this point.  |

Speaking of dead stuff, I know this thread has ironically been dead for almost a year but since someone brought up Discord I thought maybe I'd bring this up.
There's this guy on Tumblr called Loreweaver who became semi-famous by liveblogging his reaction to Steven Universe, and he became so semi-famous he made a discord server for forlks to discuss his content. Something like 80% of users are Homestucks and since it's a very active server it's a pretty cool place for folks who are looking for somewhere to discuss HS. It is a shame this forum is dying but at least I wanted to give folks here an alternative.

Thanks for your concern, spades noir 1234. That's really nice of you to offer a community for those looking for more interaction. Reading up on this thread, I think it's pretty funny that forums are considered comatose when compared to tumblr or twitter communities; ultimately we're still here and still have active members. It's a place I check every day and see new content almost always. Although this is the most-alive MSPA forum there is. forums.msparp.com/ is more dead than here, to name one example of a site I spend too much time on, waiting to see if the ghost of community should return. |

There's a discord for someone called Minda, also on tumblr who I think has some level of crossover with Loreweaver. He liveblogs a variety of things, but now that Homestuck stuff is back into vogue that'd be a place to hang out. Minda's discord is kind of de facto where I'd hang out to talk about Homestuck for a while, though I'm no longer there. There is also the official Homestuck discord hosted by Fellow Traveler, which can be found here. So there's that too. |
