After releasing Act 7 as the end of Homestuck, Hussie asked fans to draw their own conclusions. Most people interpreted this as trying to figure out how the animation concludes the story, and they came up with various theories about what happened. Project Omega is similar to that in some ways, but we’re asking “What happens next if it’s NOT over?” And we’re actually drawing our conclusion. Hussie made something amazing, so we’re going to do our best to match the style he used: panels, pesterlogs, flashes and all. We’re estimating around 200 pages and over 10 minutes of animations. They’re full of all sorts of twists and shenanigans that would make theorists cry (in a good way). We’re also releasing a music album with songs made for the project. We’re currently in what could be considered pre-production, which includes building interest, gathering more people, improving the script, gathering sprite resources. We do have some comics and music ready for sharing, though. Serious production is likely to begin around 6/12. We’re still looking for more artists, musicians, authors, roleplayers, and theorists. Anything you can offer is appreciated. Send us a message if you’re interested in helping! Official Tumblr link

You seem to be under the impression that everyone disliked the ending. Some of us actually liked it.

The 15% of people who think the ending was ok don't have to work on it then.
That said, it'd be better to wait for the epilogue, just in case Hussie actually does use it to give us a proper resolution. I wouldn't want this to turn out to be a waste of time.
I won't really have time to put a lot of work into this, but I can always fact-check the theories before they're implemented in the story or something. I know almost all the details of Homestuck.

At this point, it's probably going to be just gathering interest and figuring out what the ending should be like. Serious production probably won't begin unless Hussie doesn't deliver by 6/12.

Can we help even if we've come to appreciate the ending as is? I could be a theorist if nothing more.

Something like this was something I thought of that could be fun. Like, a spiritual sequel to the rex duodecim angelus fan project, in recreating the final battle not seen in canon. In fact I think it would probably be easier to organize several smaller projects to that effect rather than trying to write one big ending at once. But either way, eager to see where this thread goes.

I'm hesitant to work on this until the epilogue, but I'm actually a decent writer, so I'm down.

Can a mod move this to "fan projects?" (Is that a thing that can happen?)

Homestuck so far has only featured a single Green Sun. However, canon has left the ambiguous possibility that there may be more of them. There are some things planned for Act Omega that would be a lot cooler if there are many Green Suns in Paradox Space. So, we’ve made a poll to gather people’s opinions so we can make an informed decision on the topic. Clarification: there being multiple Green Suns wouldn’t be a major plot point, it wouldn’t help or hurt the heroes in any way. It would just make certain things fall together in a way that’s really cool. www.strawpoll.me/10018922

Okay, this actually sounds like an interesting idea. I don't know if I'll be able to contribute much, especially since I'm buried neck-deep in schoolwork and writing my own post-game fanventure that picks up about three years after Homestuck left off (for the kids anyway; time shenanigans are involved), but I'll chip in a bit if I can. I'm not sure if that means there are no more first guardians, since both Jade and English lost their First Guardian powers when the Green Sun was destroyed, but if you need a Green Sun-like object for purposes other than sustaining the capabilities of immensely powerful entities, it's an idea.

Since stuff is getting sucked into the black hole instead of just orbiting it, that implies that Alt!Calliope's spell somehow created a black hole more than the mass of the Green Sun, and it would only keep growing from there as other things get sucked in. A Genesis Frog contains a universe in it, but from the outside it doesn't have a universe's mass. When one gets sucked into a black hole, however, it would be reasonable to imagine that messes with the dimensional stuff going on there, adding the full universe's mass to the black hole. Also, I'll need a way to send you a private message if you want to get involved. (We're still in the planning stages, actual production won't start until 6/12, so that might help you a bit, but you shouldn't feel pressured to contribute too much to the project if you're busy or whatever)

I can be a writer, since I'm a pretty good writer if I say so myself. I mostly focus on imagery and big words, so you may have to catch me there if I go overboard.

Ok, while ^ is very true, I fail to see how this is anything other than a heavily organized community-based illustrated fanfic that happens to take place at the end of the story as it stands now.

And personally, I'm not in it for the reasons Timey specified. I thought it was something I can use my personal talents for, and have fun with it.

When WFTstuck said that, I was explaining the project in a way that was a bit overzealous and disrespectful. Someone else explained it a lot better here.

Ok, i'm really interested on joining this project somehow, because I have been reading Homestuck for 4 years and I haven't left anything interesting to the fandom. I can't roleplay or writte in Hussie's style, but one of the reasons I love this comic is the dialogs and narration, so I at least know the "feel" of Andrew's writting and maybe I can help checking some pesterlogs or something like that. I also think I can help theorizing, especilly when talking about classpects (I feel you might want to give Sollux something to do on Act Omega). I'm also pretty good with the "macro" of the plot and its themes so you can talk to me about that (if you wnat of course). Finally I just want to wish the project luck. It is a great idea even if the epiloge gives a satisfying ending.
If Homestuck is about creation, then the best homage we can do is creating something.

Listen, I admire your passion for this project but I feel like you're constantly bringing it up even when it's not really warranted and it's a little annoying?

As Sporkangaza said, if you could tone it down on mentioning it literally everywhere that would be great.

Hi! I was wondering if this is still going on (I mean, it wasn't started too long ago, but never hurts to check!). I think this sounds pretty neat, even if I haven't finished homestuck yet... I am a musician, and I though maybe, just maybe, I could contribute somehow?

I am a musician, and I though maybe, just maybe, I could contribute somehow? This is definitely still going on, and we're still looking for people. We're probably not going to start seriously producing anything until around 6/12, so you've got time to catch up first, which I recommend you do first. But then you can definitely contribute!
