More Tirgostuck. This is the final batch that comes from this text file I compiled a few years ago when this was the most recent part of Tirgostuck. Following this is the Dead Zone where I'm not sure how much there is out there. I guess I'll take a look into it sometime around when I start caring again. I haven't made any big changes to any of this stuff yet, although the colors aren't put in from the original and I've corrected a few misspelled words. Reading some of this stuff really frustrates me, since I would have written it differently had I known then what I know now. I'd do a lot of rewrites if I let myself, so I think it would be better if I didn't get started on that. There's some character differences between the original writing and later on, which probably seems logical since I wrote this over the course of several years. I won't be making any real changes to what I have written, painful as that is, so a couple character discrepancies and plot holes and slight retcons will stay in. Rather than change the story as it is and keep some stuff, I'd probably rather completely rewrite Tirgostuck from the ground up, and right now, I'm not inspired to do that.
[21]
"Hey, you alright?" Tirgo said.
Fiona smiled from ear to ear and clapped her hands together. "Oh, Tirgo! You weren't here, but I did it!" she said excitedly. "I made a spark! Plus, I became an E-Trainee, whatever that means."
Tirgo looked jubilant. "Really?" he said. "That's great! At this rate, you'll be an Electric Pupil in no time!"
Fiona put her hands into Tirgo's scruffy hair and moved close for a kiss, her eyes shining with electricity. Tirgo was beginning to notice that Fiona was a very touchy-feely person. She sure liked to touch him. Maybe, Tirgo thought, it was because he was the first human she had ever met in person. Tirgo let those thoughts drift away as their lips touched. This could happen as many times as she wanted.
The sound of laughter made Fiona jump and break off all contact. The man with the purple hair had entered the outer wall, grinning wildly as usual. "I see, so this is Fiona," Ezrael said, grinning and putting a hand up to cradle his chin. "Did you say you were an E-Mage? I didn't know anyone else but Tirgo could do it."
"Of course others can do it," Tirgo said, turning to him. "Everything I know came off E-Mage groups on the Internet, after all."
Ezrael shined another mischievous smile. Fiona grabbed hold of Tirgo's arm and pulled herself close. Perhaps Ezrael frightened her. Tirgo had to admit, when he first met Ezrael, he seemed rather strange and creepy. But all in all, he was a pretty neat guy. "Maybe it is due to the bond that you share that she can obtain your abilities," Ezrael said mysteriously. "I don't doubt her finding her own power one day, though."
Tirgo considered this. Ezrael had discussed this, the possibility that everyone had a specific ability unique to them. It seemed strange. But if that were the truth, how could Fiona have made a spark? He looked over at Fiona. Fiona seemed to be both embarassed and frightened. Oh, right, it wasn't just Ezrael that she was afraid of. She didn't seem to like anyone except him. Tirgo shrugged. "I'll keep in touch, Ezrael," Tirgo said. "I'll go get Byron and head out."
Ezrael gave him another grin. "Whatever you do, don't try to go inside devyn's house," he said. "I've outfitted it with several deadly traps."
Tirgo didn't know what to think of this, so he just bowed and left. Ezrael did not return the bow, possibly because he wasn't Japanese. Come to think of it, neither was Tirgo. Stupid Japanese etiquette lessons from Kaoru. Hey, speaking of Kaoru... Tirgo took out his phone.

"Hey, Tirgo," Fiona said tentatively. "Where are we going now, exactly?"
Tirgo opened the front door of Ezrael's Room and held it open for her. "We're just gonna have a look around, research the world and such," he said. "Byron'll be coming with too."
Fiona giggled as she walked through the open door but pouted upon hearing of Byron's presence. "Byron?" she said. "But isn't he kind of..."
"Kind of what, doll?" Byron himself said, walking up to the two of them, notepad and pen in hand.
Fiona immediately cowered behind Tirgo's back again. Tirgo rolled his eyes and gently pulled her so she would at least stand next to him. She took to clinging to his side instead of his back. "Oh, she was just about to talk about how cool you are!" Tirgo said. "Weren't you going to say that, hun?"
Fiona shook her head slowly. Tirgo grabbed her hair and lightly pulled it, making her wince. "Yeah, uh, you're cool, I guess," Fiona said nervously. "Super neat."
Byron tipped his hat. "Just doing my job, m'am," he said. "It's the constant work of PIs like me that keep the balance of the world."
"Tirgo, I suppose Ezrael told you about the mission," Byron said.
Tirgo blinked, petting Fiona's hair absentmindedly to make up for pulling it earlier. "How did you know?" he said. "I was supposed to just tell you about that."
"Oh, please," Byron said, shrugging confidently. "I am an investigator. I know all."
Fiona edged closer to Byron, taking in his features. "Are you a good person?" she asked. "If we're going to be traveling together, I'd rather not be afraid of you."
Byron smiled, then walked over to her and put a hand on the top of her head. After a couple seconds, he then moved his hand over to her shoulder instead, apparently having made a mistake. "Tirgo's SO, I'm what people call a man-for-hire," he said. "I am indebted to help Tirgo in his quest since I have loyalty to the man guiding him. So I wouldn't want to kill either of you, as it would offend my friend. Get it?"
Fiona didn't quite get it at all, but seemed to accept this. "So, you're like a bodyguard?" she asked. "Alright, I don't even need you! Just keep your distance, buddy!"
She gave a thumbs up to Tirgo, who rolled his eyes. He supposed that Fiona thought that speaking to a blind man meant she could regain her former swagger. "Hey, chill out, doll," Byron said happily. "Can I feel your face? I like doing blind things."
Fiona freely offered her face and allowed Byron to run his hands over it. Tirgo noted that Byron was being a lot gentler with her than he had with him. Byron backed away after a few seconds. "You're unattractive, too," he said, smiling. "You two deserve each other."
Fiona punched him in the mouth.
[23]
Tirgo took out his phone and started fooling around with a paint app. After a while, he had finished a new map of Subcon based on his own observations and Ezrael's map. "What's that?" Fiona asked, wrapping her arms around his chest from behind. "Some kind of map?"
Tirgo was surprised about the intimate contact and glanced nervously at Byron. Of course, Byron didn't notice anything out of the ordinary and continued jotting notes, smiling like a maniac. Tirgo gently took Fiona's arms off of him and turned around to face her. She then took to hugging him instead. Tirgo rolled his eyes, smiling. "Yes, it's a map. I based it off Ezrael's impossibly shitty map of Subcon," he said. "We'll use this to look around Subcon and see what the purpose is of this place."
"An investigation, I see," Byron said, looking slightly to the left of Tirgo. "Excellent. Let's get going already."
Tirgo consulted his new map. "Hmm, so..." he murmured. "The first place we should check out is the 'Defense Room'. It's not too far from here. It's on this star, too."
The three of them started walking, Byron leading the way, strutting confidently. As Tirgo rubbed his thumb across the back of Fiona's hand with his left, he decided to use his right to partake in his favorite walking hobby: chatting with his friends. Tirgo clicked to start a new conversation.

devyn: Tirgo.
ET: what do you want
devyn: I wanted to tell you something.
devyn: And I need your help.
ET: help with what
ET: wait what makes you think i would fucking help you??
ET: you tried to kill me! and my girlfriend!
ET: youre a bad person and i dont even want to talk to you!!
devyn: I deserve everything you can say about me.
devyn: Let me explain.
ET: w/e mfr
devyn: I do not act of my own free will.
devyn: For as long as I can remember, I have been controlled by my 'brother', Falcon.
devyn: You may recognize him as TH.
ET: TH? what
devyn: He has special abilities that allow him to control my body. While in his hold, I am completely immobile.
devyn: While in such a state, I encounted your sister, Rin.
ET: you
ET: what
devyn: She has left this world by Falcon's hand.
ET: what
ET: wait
ET: what are you talking about
ET: what are you saying
devyn: Rin is dead.
Tirgo threw his phone as hard as he could against the ground, surprising Byron and causing Fiona to flinch terribly. "No!" he shouted, looking around wildly, looking for any direction that would lead him to his sister. "No! Rin!"
He craved to run away, to find her, but he was stopped by the presence of Fiona. He needed to protect Fiona. He could not leave her alone. "Byron, go back to Ezrael's!" he commanded, bewildering his companions. "Fiona, you're coming with me."
Tirgo powered up, linking back into his E-Warrior form. He noticed that since the rank-up, he had acquired a cape. It didn't matter much at the moment. Taking Fiona by surprise again, he swept her into his arms, nodded at Byron, and took off, flying up so he could take a look around. "Tirgo," Fiona cried. "Tirgo, what happened??"
Tirgo glanced into her eyes and immediately wished he had not. She looked both fearful and concerned, as though frightened he might attack her. "Fiona, my sister..." he said, looking away so he would not cry. "devyn said something about Rin... I want to see if she's alright."
Fiona wrapped her arms around him and got close, forcing Tirgo to look at her again. "I... you helped me before, Tirgo," she said, trying to look tough. "Let me help you... we'll get to the bottom of this."
Tirgo gave a weak smile and sent a tiny shock through her body, making her squeak. "Thank you, Fiona," he said. "Let's do it."
Tirgo flew straight toward the giant golden door leading to his house. He would begin the search there.
[24]
The door swung open. Tirgo's eyes scanned every inch of his room, panicked. He felt a sinking feeling. There was nobody in here.
Tirgo deposited Fiona back onto the ground and walked over to the interrobang poster on the wall. There could be no way. Rin would never be killed by someone like devyn. It was impossible. He heard a clicking behind him and swivelled around. To his disappointment, it was just Fiona, turning on his computer monitor. He walked over to her.
"She's not here," Tirgo said. "We've got to keep looking."
Fiona looked up at him, her eyes fearful again. Nervously, she looked at the ground. "Umm... Tirgo..." she said. "About your sister..."
Tirgo grabbed her shoulders, causing her head to snap back up. "What about my sister??" he said. "Did you find something??"
Fiona glanced around, fidgeting. "Well, no, but..." she mumbled. "Rin... What is she?"
Tirgo didn't seem to understand the question. "What do you mean?" he asked.
"Well, um... She's kind of..." Fiona said, trying to not look at Tirgo's face. "Isn't it kind of, erm, weird?"
She glanced back up at Tirgo and was taken aback by his intense expression. "What exactly is weird about Rin?" he asked in a quiet voice. He sounded almost threatening.
"Ummm... Nevermind," Fiona said, moving to get Tirgo's hands off her shoulders. "It's nothing."
Tirgo redoubled his grip, making her wince. "No, what is it, Fiona?" he growled. "What is weird about my sister?"
Fiona's eyes watered. Tirgo was scaring her now. "Tirgo, you're hurting me," Fiona trembled. "I'm sorry..."
Tirgo's intense expression faded and he slowly took his hands off her shoulders. "Fiona, I..." he said, mortified. "I'm sorry, no, please... It's just..."
Tirgo sighed and ran his hand through his hair, looking regretful. He tentatively hovered his hands near her arms, asking permission to touch her. After a couple seconds, Fiona nodded. Tirgo pulled her into a gentle hug. "I'm sorry," he said quietly into her ear. "I won't ever hurt you again."
Fiona sniffed into his shoulder. "I know," she said.
The sound of the door opening. Tirgo quickly broke the hug and snapped his head wildly toward the doorway. His eyes widened. He looked back at Fiona, who was staring at the doorway too, looking shocked, tears still in her eyes. "Back away," Tirgo said coldly.
Tirgo walked forward. "You just made the biggest mistake of your life, coming here," Tirgo said, fury rumbling in his voice. Electricity consumed his body.
"You ready to die like your sister?" devyn said in a voice unlike his own, his mouth curled up into a smile that didn't belong on his face.
"I don't care if you're being controlled," Tirgo went on, electricity sparking off his body violently. "You're through fucking with me."
[25]
Fist met face.
devyn flew back at least ten feet before smashing hard onto the ground, backfirst. But before Tirgo could even move forward, devyn had gotten back up. Tirgo punched devyn again, sending him through the closed door, which disintegrated into shadows. Tirgo heard Fiona sob behind him, but ignored her. He launched himself forward, hoping to hit devyn on the ground. To his disappointment, he was only able to punch an upright target. Again, devyn crashed to the ground several feet away and got up stoically.
Tirgo heisitated. Why wasn't devyn being hurt by his attacks? Why wasn't he fighting back? devyn just continued to grin. Tirgo couldn't stand it. "Fight me," Tirgo growled. He tensed, waiting for devyn to say something back. devyn just smiled wider.
After what seemed like an eternity, devyn parted his teeth. "Do you not recognize these, boy?" devyn said with Falcon's voice, pointing to his red shades. Tirgo looked at them. They were cracked, but in a way he knew. He was there when they broke. He had broken them. Tirgo's eyes widened. "Rin..."
devyn laughed, a horrifying, demonic laugh. The sound tore Tirgo away from sadness and plunged him straight into fear. He had never heard such a terrible sound. It chilled him to his very bones. Tirgo's eyes continued to boil with intensity. The fear could be abated with violence.
devyn wouldn't resist him. Tirgo continued to attack with all of his strength, but devyn would not attack back or attempt to defend himself. Tirgo became even more enraged. "Fight back, you monster!" Tirgo screamed, shocking devyn with all that he had.
Tirgo grabbed the sunglasses on devyn's face and ripped them off. To his surprise, this seemed to snap devyn out of it. devyn made a lunge for the shades, but Tirgo backed away, out of his reach. As Tirgo watched, the shades faded in color and became black once again. It was certain now. These were definitely Rin's shades. Tirgo unceremoniously tossed them into his room and turned back to devyn. devyn had once again taken up simply smiling. He seemed to be satisfied about something. "Very good, you got the sunglasses," he cackled. "But let me break it to you, kid. There is no way to revive her."
That was the final breaking point. He would not allow this man to escape with his life.
All he could see was darkness.
"Tirgo!" Fiona cried out. "Tirgo, stop! You're going to kill him!"
Tirgo looked down at the man on the ground. No longer was he smiling. Tirgo noticed something red and glanced down at his own body, covered in blood. Tirgo cold eyes turned again to devyn. devyn was twitching, groaning, obviously in pain. His eyes had lost their green tint, and a hundred pairs of shades lay broken on the ground, in progress of disappearing. He looked up at Tirgo with fear and regret, tears flowing freely. This man was no longer being controlled by the monster who killed his sister. Tirgo felt the rain, but couldn't see it. After a minute, he realized the rain was coming from his eyes.
"Oh my god..." Fiona sounded horrified. "devyn..."
Tirgo turned towards Fiona, putting his back to the fatally wounded man. He stared into space, confused. What had he done? He couldn't remember why he had blood on his hands. He only remembered the monster who killed his sister. Slowly, he walked back into his room and found the shades on the ground. He put them on.
He suddenly became aware of Fiona's hysterical sobbing. He looked back outside. Fiona was shaking the body, screaming for him to wake up. Tirgo walked over to her and put an arm on her shoulder. She froze, then turned her head to look up at him. He saw the fear in her eyes. "I..." Tirgo started. But words couldn't come. He dropped to his knees, his eyes continuing their flow of tears. "What did I do..."
He put a hand up to his eyes to stop the tears, but a single finger grazed the shades. Tirgo felt the shades come off his face, and he couldn't feel his shadowed arm anymore. His vision was so obstructed by the tears that he couldn't tell what was going on. He allowed himself to fall to the ground, shivering and clutching his face with the hand he could feel.
"Tirgo?"
Tirgo rushed to wipe his tears and frantically tried to see the source of the voice. It wasn't possible. He grabbed Fiona's shoulder and used it to pull himself so he could see what had been behind him. And there she was. A living shadow, his beloved sister, Rin.
[26]
Tirgo opened his eyes. After a couple seconds, he closed them again. Idily, he tried to remember what was going on. Where was he? Why was he sleeping? He felt around for a hand, but found nothing of the sort on the rough sheets. A bed. He was sleeping on a bed. But this wasn't Fiona's bed... Fiona...
Tirgo sat upright, quickly making to wipe the sleep out of his eyes. Where was Fiona? "Fiona?" he said, trying to get his eyes to see. "Where are you?"
Tirgo heard a noise and his head immediately snapped to that direction. His eyes came into focus. Fiona was sitting on the floor in a dark blanket, backed up against the wall, her eyes full of... fear? Tirgo finally noticed the interrobang poster on the wall. So this was his room. And he had gone here to avenge... Tirgo looked to his right and came face to face with the woman he was here to avenge.
Tirgo screamed and backed away, startled. Rin smiled sadly. "Brother," she said. "Good morning."
"Rin?" Tirgo said in disbelief, inching closer again. "Rin... Rin, you're..."
"Alive?" Rin smiled widely, baring her sharp teeth. "Thanks to you."
Tirgo remembered trying to wipe away his tears. How his shadow arm had lost feeling. "What did I do?" he asked, dumbfounded.
"I guess giving you that arm was a good idea," Rin said. "As long as I am with you, I cannot ever be truly vanquished."
Tirgo didn't quite understand, but having his sister back was a relief unlike he had ever felt before. His eyes filled with tears again. Rin quietly shushed him and moved over to hug him. Tirgo had always felt like hugging Rin was like hugging darkness itself. He didn't know how to describe the feel of her body. As he felt her back, he noticed his shadow arm was back. It felt hardly noticable since it fit in with Rin's shadowy form.
Tirgo broke the hug and turned his attention back to Fiona. He got off the bed and walked over to her. As he approached, she squeaked and clutched her knees to her body. Tirgo froze, noticing the look in her eyes again. She looked completely broken. "Fiona?" he said. "Are you okay? What happened?"
She continued to just stare at him, trembling horribly. Tirgo didn't know what to do. Rin slithered over to his side. "Brother, well," she began uncertainly. "A while ago, you were in a conflict with devyn. He was killed."
Tirgo didn't understand. "What?" he said, staring straight at the wall. "I... what? That's not..."
Rin put her hand on his shoulder. "It wasn't your fault," she said quietly. "You were controlled by that monster, Falcon. The same monster who used him to attack me."
"You..." Fiona whispered. "Your eyes were... green..."
Tirgo walked over to Fiona and looked into her wide eyes. He felt heartbroken. He had failed to protect her. "I'm sorry," he said. "Right after I said I would never hurt you..."
Fiona shook her head, trying to wipe her eyes. "No, yeah, it wasn't your fault," she said, standing up. "You weren't going to kill him. It's all that monster's fault."
Tirgo gently pulled her into a hug. "He was... that man was..." she murmured into his shoulder. "He wasn't a good person. It doesn't matter anyway."
Fiona began shaking again and Tirgo shushed her quietly, petting her head. Her tears came back, and she went limp in his arms. They stood like that for a while, simply being together. Tirgo's eyes furrowed. He could not allow anyone to hurt her again, especially not himself. He would do anything for her. Although, he did not quite understand why. He squeezed a little tighter.
Slowly, Tirgo broke the hug, holding Fiona at arm's length. She gave him a small smile and tried again to wipe away her sadness. "You're alright now," he said. "I won't let anything hurt you again. I promise."
Rin beheld them with a blank look. She banished the shadowy bed she had created and looked at her own hands. If she hadn't given Tirgo that arm, he may have never been able to revive her. A creature born from shadows, bound to a human form by the bonds she shared. She would have to be more careful in the future. She looked back up at the couple and squirmed uncomfortably. Watching such an intimate scene would be embarassing for anyone, but considering her feelings for her brother... Well, she was happy that he was happy, and that's all that mattered.
Their next course of action... of course, it would be to find and annihilate the monster who was the cause of all their misfortune. Falcon Blade.

Fiona locked her phone and turned to Tirgo, who locked his phone too. "What do we have to talk about?" Tirgo asked curiously.
Fiona looked at him nervously and glanced over at Rin, who was typing away on her shadow phone across the room. Fiona got close to him. "You know when you said that Rin was looking at your butt?" Fiona whispered. "Isn't that kind of weird?"
"I thought you were excited or something," Tirgo said.
"Yeah, well, we weren't kiss buddies at the time!" she whispered, giving him a quick peck for good measure. "I don't want anyone looking at your butt except me."
Tirgo shrugged. "Okay, I'll... er... talk to her about it then?" he said, giving her a peck in return. "And I'll make sure that nobody looks at your butt in a shifty manner."
Rin glanced up from her phone. Her brother and the girl were whispering to each other and getting quite close. Suddenly, they started outright kissing, and Rin decided to leave the room. Once outside, she took a breath and tried to maintain her composure. Yes, she was okay with this, right? Her brother being with someone else. That was fine. No, it was awful! To see her beloved brother with such a stupid, weak, idiotic, worthless--!!
"Rin?"
Rin turned too quickly and looked over at her brother. "Oh, uh, hey, what's up?" she stammered.
"Hey, um..." Tirgo looked nervous. "So, Fiona wants me to tell you that she doesn't want you looking at my butt."
"What," Rin said.
"That's all, I guess," Tirgo said. "She just wanted you to stop doing that."
"I don't do that," Rin said.
"I didn't say you did!" Tirgo said. "Um, well, that's not... Anyway, that's just what she wanted to say."
"Listen, brother, I think we should talk." Rin said, putting a hand on Tirgo's shoulder.
Tirgo cocked his head. "What's up?" he smiled. "We can talk about anything, Rin. I'm so happy to see you're back."
Rin smiled her characteristic freakish sharp-toothed grin. "I guess we have some stuff to catch up on," she said. "Sorry for ditching you back at the door. I just... I wanted to check the place out myself, make sure it was safe."
"It's not very safe out there," Tirgo mused. "I've almost died a couple times now."
"Yeah," Rin said. "There are some dangerous things in Subcon, that's for sure..."
Rin glanced around nervously, heisitating to say something. "What is it?" Tirgo asked.
"Well, about Ms. Dark..." Rin said. "Are you certain that she isn't a threat? I don't want you to be put in danger."
"Fi is trustworthy," Tirgo said. "She isn't going to hurt me any time soon."
He glanced behind his shoulder back at the room. "She'll warm up to you, I'm sure," he said. "It's just... it's been hard on her, y'know? She's really a good person."
"Are the two of you..." Rin murmured. "Are the two of you... dating?"
Tirgo looked back at his sister. "Yep!" he said happily. "I want to be by her side and make sure she doesn't get hurt any more."
Rin's eyes narrowed slightly, but she cast this away. "That's good, brother," she said. "I hope you two get along."
"And," she continued. "If she ever breaks up with you, I will murder her and consume her soul."
Tirgo laughed. "Oh, Rin," he chuckled. "I'd prefer if you didn't do that."
Rin didn't laugh.

"Do we really have to look for Kaoru?" Fiona grumbled, rubbing her thumb over Tirgo's hand.
"Yes, of course! Ezrael says we should, anyway," he said. "And she's my friend, too. I'm worried about her."
"Worried about her, huh..." Fiona said. "If I disappeared, would you be more worried about her or me?"
"Um, you, I guess," Tirgo said. "But that isn't much of a fair question, is it? You're my girlfriend."
Fiona gave him a shy smile as he ruffled her hair affectionately. She wasn't entirely sure about the hair petting thing, but Tirgo seemed to like doing it. Anything he liked, she liked. "Yeah, I'm your girlfriend," she murmured.
She glanced up and noticed Rin staring at them. Rin quickly looked away, scratching her chin. Fiona's eyes creased. They were siblings, right? Fiona glared at Tirgo. "So, uh, you and your sister," she whispered. "You ever make out?"
Tirgo looked at her blankly. "What? Um, yeah, maybe?" he said, continuing to mess with her hair. "Probably. Why?"
Fiona scowled. "I mean like, well," she whispered. "Have you and her... Well, is she always like this with you?"
"What are you talking about?" he said.
"I mean--! You have to notice, right??" she said. "That she's... you know?!"
"In love with me?" he said. "Yeah, I know. I love her too. But she loves me in a way that I can't love her. I just don't want to hurt her feelings, alright? That's why I don't do anything about it. I couldn't stand it if I hurt her."
Fiona didn't know how to react. She rubbed Tirgo's shoulder gently. "I understand," she said. "Just... I just don't want to lose you."
Tirgo looked at her incredulously. "I would never leave you," he said, edging close for a kiss.

Rin slithered over to where Tirgo and Fiona were sleepcuddling on a shadowy couch. Before disturbing Tirgo, she glared at the couch. Well, what did she expect them to use it for? This sight was just disgusting. Rin had to fight down the rush of bile rising in her throat. Maybe she would never like this Dark woman. She started prodding at Tirgo's face, trying to awaken him from his deep slumber. It was strange watching him sleep. Her brother never used to sleep.
After a few prods, Rin just used her shadows to gently lift Tirgo off the couch and onto the floor. It was only then that he stirred, reaching instinctively for where his lady friend was just moments ago. Rin made a noise of disgust at the sight. Finally, Tirgo, dazed, opened his eyes and looked up at Rin. "Oh, hi Rin," he said, rubbing the sleep out of his eyes.
Rin grabbed him with shadows and pulled him standing. "Brother, you are acquaintances with this internal unfairs person, are you not?" she said. "What kind of person is he?"
Tirgo thought it over for a second. "He's a weird guy," he said. "Oh, and he likes being a detective."
"Do you think, given a change in gender, or sexuality, that you would perhaps find him to be attractive?" Rin said.
"Um... He has copper hair, and a hat," Tirgo said. "And a tie. And his eyes are grayed out."
"Brother, that didn't answer my question at all," Rin said. "I was asking if you believed him to be a handsome young man."
"Well, I've only met a few young men in my time, and he definitely has the right amount of hair," Tirgo said. "devyn had no hair, while Ezrael has too much hair. He has short hair, so that's cool. His hair is kind of like mine. Well, curlier, I guess. How did he get his eyes to be the exact same color as his hair? That's pretty impressive, if you ask me."
"Okay, never mind," Rin said. "Do you think, given a chance, he could be a proper ally? Someone to be depended on. For all sorts of things."
"I think he's on our side," Tirgo said. "He's probably a good guy. Ezrael trusts him. So, I guess we should trust him too."
"Let's see... If you had a child, and you had to go and visit another star and you could not bring the child, would you consider letting him take care of your child?" Rin said.
"Rin..." Tirgo blushed. "I'm too young for that..."
Rin slowly turned her head towards the dreaming Fiona. A horrible image crossed her mind. Her shades cracked very slightly. "That is against the point. It is thirty years in the future. You are a very successful, handsome man. In this situation, you have reached... some sort of agreement with someone... for marriage... and... and in this situation, you have somehow found or created a child," Rin said. "Given your status, you are invited to a newly opened star for the elite. However, your child is not an elite until proven wealthy. You are forced to take responsibility for your actions. Your child cannot come with you to the opening of the new restaurant. So. You must leave the child behind. In this situation, would you entrust current-day blind guy with your precious maybe adopted child?"
"Um, sure," Tirgo said.
Rin turned away from him and took out her shadow phone.

Tirgo pushed his face through Rin's torso to get a good look at her phone, causing her to blush terribly. "Oh... my... GOSH," he said. "I CAN'T believe such a thing is taking place."
Rin hastily put away the phone and pushed Tirgo away from her. Tirgo quickly turned the couch around and awoke Fiona so they could gossip together. Rin was mortified. Yes. They would leave as soon as possible. Fast.
[32]
Rin stared resolutely ahead, although she wasn't paying attention to the flashy moving lights, or even the purple bridge beneath her. She was just trying to hide her face from the two gossipy kids behind her. Tirgo and Fiona had been giggling and whispering to each other ever since Tirgo had learned about her interest in Byron, and she was sick of it. Although she still loved her brother, she had to admit that he was being very aggravating. Finally, she had gotten them to leave the room, but now she had to contend with their ridiculous antics until they... what did they need to do again? Rin didn't really care. Maybe they were looking for Kaoru. Yeah, that could be it.
Rin glanced back at the two lovebirds. The two of them looked quite cheerful and peppy. So why did Tirgo insist that they walk again? They could search much faster if they were allowed to fly. Of course, Dark couldn't fly, but Tirgo had flown with her before, hadn't he? She guessed it was out of his concern for Dark's comfort. What was there to fear in flying, anyway? What was there to fear in anything? This Dark woman was far too weak. Rin scowled behind her shades.
Tirgo and Fiona had their heads together, giggling and stealing glances at Rin's back. They looked like schoolgirls finding out some juicy gossip. "What did it say again?" Fiona whispered, although she had asked this question a dozen times. "What specifically?"
"She was asking Byron out!" Tirgo whispered back. "She said she wanted to go on a 'human date' with him."
The two of them collapsed into giggles again. Fiona felt fantastic. This was her element. Pointless gossip. She loved all of it. Knowing stuff about people, stuff that they didn't want her to know... for some reason, it made her feel clever. Tirgo was excited. Excited that maybe his sister would find someone new. Someone that wasn't him. He was happy for her.
Rin shot a look at them once more. It was this Dark woman, it had to be. Her brother wouldn't be behaving this stupidly if it weren't for her and her stupid gossip. She was tainting her brother. She needed to be stopped. Poor, sweet, precious Tirgo. Rin needed to show her. She needed to show that harlot that he still liked her better!
Rin turned around, still moving forward on the bridge. "Brother, I had an idea," she said, trying to sound neutral.
Tirgo looked up and cleared his face of any gossipy vibes (although Fiona made no attempt to stop smiling stupidly at his sister). "What is it, Rin?" he said.
"Well, I was thinking, perhaps it is strange that our names are so different, although we are siblings," Rin said, beginning to show a wild grin. "What if I changed my name to Rin Jefferson? Then we would have closer names."
Tirgo blinked. "Oh, yeah, I guess, okay," he said. "Well, I was thinking about names too. I was thinking about just changing my name to Tirgo. You know, full-time."
Rin's smile drooped. "So your name would just be Tirgo?" she said slowly. "No last name or anything?"
"Yep, I guess," Tirgo said. "I never really liked my name anyway... Thomas Jefferson... It makes me sound like some kind of stuffy old man or something!"
Rin hesitated. "Okay. That's fine," she said. "I'll change my name to Rin Tirgo then. That way, I can still have you as part of my name."
Tirgo squirmed. "Yeah... Hey, names aren't that important, you know," he said. "You are still my sister no matter what your name is. You can keep the name Prin Pardus and still be my sister."
A silence grew between them. Fiona stared at him, confused. "Huh?" she said. "Prin Pardus?"
Tirgo looked at them in turn. "Huh? Did I say something wrong?" he said. "Oh-- What? I said... That's weird. Slip of the tongue, I guess. I meant to say Rin Ardus."
Rin blinked. "Well, whatever," she said, turning back around. "I'd like to have my name close to yours, brother. I'll be Rin Tirgo from now on."
Tirgo felt his forehead. Where on earth did he get 'Prin Pardus' from? He shook his head. Weird slip of the tongue, he guessed. But, for some reason, that name registered to him.

The ground felt hard and cold against her skin. It also seemed to be moving underneath her. Her head hurt. Kaoru opened her eyes. Were her eyes open? The room was too dark. Kaoru closed her eyes. She tried to move her arm. It felt numb. She was laying on it. She used her other arm to push herself into a better laying position. She didn't feel much like moving. Idily, she took in her surroundings. It was dark in here, and the ground had to be something like concrete. The air felt cold. What was this place? She couldn't remember being in a place like this before.
She struggled to keep clear thoughts. Speaking of which, who was this? Vague images swam in her mind. She had to be a person, that much she understood. Vaguely, she ran her hand over her face and neck. Kaoru Maeda. Why would she forget her own name? How ridiculous. She was Kaoru Maeda. Great, she thought. Now to get to her situation... What was she doing before she woke up here? She was at that place. She knew the place, but the name wouldn't come to her just now. The image of a guy with scruffy black hair and a boyish face came to the forefront of her mind. Yes, that guy's place. She was on his computer. She was looking for information.
And then the door opened. She thought it would be that annoying woman, but it wasn't. It was that other guy. No, no, it wasn't a guy. It was a robot. A giant, freaky, bug-eyed robot man. That guy, who pretended to be a weird middle aged flirt. She supposed it was him, anyway. She wanted her life to become an anime. Why was that? The robot grabbed her. Said that he wanted to kill her personally. And then... and then what happened? Kaoru's head pounded. The ringing in her ears seemed to get louder. She sluggishly grabbed at her head and attempted to push the headache out. The door opened. And then... someone came to her rescue...? She didn't know him. What did he look like? Was it a he? They weren't a robot, anyway... She remembered... the man, the person, had a crazy smile. She thought she was going to be saved. Then they got closer... And then she felt a sharp pain in her head... and then...
So, that person wasn't there to help her, after all. They were in cahoots, weren't they? But it wasn't the red guy, devyn. She didn't recognize this new person. Oh boy, she thought. Another stupid threat. Kaoru felt around her shorts for her phone. To her surprise, she wasn't even wearing shorts. She was clad in only her underwear! Oh, for shame! A sophisticated Japanese woman should never have to experience such embarassment! Kaoru instinctively covered her heated face. She was mortified. Tentatively, she felt her chest, looking for a shirt. To her relief, her baggy shirt remain. Now she didn't feel like such a harlot. This was better. All of a sudden, Kaoru became aware that her ankles were shackled.
Kaoru sat up, ignoring the pain in her head. She felt her bare legs (eugh) and found where the cold steel trapped her legs. She felt them for a chain. She was attached to the floor. Great, she thought. She was trapped here. So, that other person, that man (she was sure it was a man now), had captured her. Well, he didn't expect her to do this! Kaoru flared up with wind ability, her hair curving with the gusts. She pointed at the shackles. Within seconds, they had broken apart. She didn't have time to explain to herself how exactly she did that, but it probably had something to do with cool wind blades or something. Kaoru stood up, glaring around the room. Her eyes slowly adjusted to the dark, and she noticed many broken objects and pieces of junk lying about. There was a flight of stairs up against a wall nearby. First thing's first, she needed to find her shorts. There was no way she would confront her kidnapper in such a state! And, speaking of which, did her kidnapper take her shorts?? What a pervert!
After rifling through all of the piles of junk, she decided that her shorts were nowhere in this room. However, she did manage to find something... what looked like a phone? She powered it on, and sure enough, it seemed to be a phone. She quickly booted up chatServer.

Kaoru turned off the phone and sighed. She glanced down at her bare legs and began crying. She really couldn't let anyone see her in such a state. But wouldn't it be worse for Tirgo to show up and find her like this? He would never like her then. KUSO!
