((ooc: Oh okay ... bye ForestGardner, thank you for starting this, and now that you mention it Yes, Peachy would try to use extra available materials to make the building more useful and effective. Also: I am in favor of handing main control to CarmineSanden, especially since he has basically already had it AND is doing amazing with it AND now that true plot-control is open to players, Peachy can be made a plot point. ))
((ooc: I haven't been posting because Peachy doesn't know whats going on away from Base and Spawn Point, and is basically just building and building at this point. For anyone who would interact with them, Base now has a few starting rooms and a basic outhouse, for now.))

((Don't worry guys, I'll do my best to keep this alive The dog was repeating words, alternating between voices samples. And its vocabulary hadn't much range. Was it some kind of artificial intelligence? Was someone controlling it? What energy source did it run on? Especially, was it dangerous? Kanny knelt at its level, and tried to reach out to it. The dog sniffed his fingers, even though it had no apparent snout; but it didn't bite him. It let itself be pet like any human-friendly dog, even though it was made of that green antimagical matter that gave him another headache, forcing him to stop. " What should we do with it?", he asked Arayzeo. " Bring it back to the base? You think it's dangerous?" In case it was, he started to mentally look for its weak spots.

The 'dog' tilted it's head for a bit, before looking down for a bit. "VOICE ADDED TO DATABASE" The 'dog' spoke. Interestingly enough, the word "ADDED" was spoken with Kanny's voice.
It seemed like it had a weak spot inside it's 'stomach', probably a power source or something else entirely. There seemed to be something organic spread all over inside it's body, too, but it was hard to know what it was.

Seeing the dog talk with his own voice was kind of freaky. ("Do I really have that weird French accent?", he asked himself. "Gotta work on that."). He looked at the robot a bit more, spotted the strange power core-like device on its stomach. If threatened, he would stab right here; he was already planning the gesture in his mind. If done correctly, the dog would be neutralized before it could touch him. But for the moment, he kept his knife in his pocket, not wanting to waste a potential new ally.
"So...speaking isn't your forte, right? Well, that's fine. As long as you keep whatever weapons you have to yourself."
He picked up a small twig from under a tree, and waved it in front of the dog's face.
"Wanna play fetch? Come on. Be a good dog."
And he threw it in direction of the ruins.

Arayzeo watched as the mechanical dog chased the tossed stick. He had intentionally kept quiet, not wanting his voice recorded as he was unsure what that meant for him. "I think it seems fine," he said as soon as he assumed the dog was out of hearing range. "I mean, if it were hostile it probably would have attacked us by now, right?" He noticed Kanny didn't seem to be quite as disoriented as when they first arrived. "Hey, after figuring out for sure if we can trust the machine, should we start to explore this place?"
((I really don't mean to put off replying as much as I do, it's just that sometimes it feels like I might be interrupting an action or need to interpret how other characters may act - like the bit of fetch, for instance. Guess that's just part of forum rp's that I'm not used to?
Also that Kanny x Peachy picture is fantastic.))

"I have a better idea. Follow me, and don't look back."
While the dog was searching for the stick, Kanny led him into another side of the ruins, scattering some fruit bits on the ground for Steady to find them if needed. They progressed between similar-looking ancient houses, trying to spot something that could be useful. They didn't walk very far before the green dog found them again, happily wagging its tail. Predictable. Kanny handed Arayzeo another stick to throw, while he tried to clear some moss off the stones. There were some weird engravings, probably a language, but he couldn't read it, or even recognize it.
"That's weird..."
He touched the green material with his bare hand. The dizziness came back, along with a slight nausea. But he had to know to what extent it could go. He pressed both his palms to the stones, even though his body commanded him to stop contact. In less than a minute, his sight had become dark and foggy, his thoughts unclear, and the skin on his hands was itching and stinging, as if he had plunged them in a bucket of ice. When he felt his heart aching, Kanny stopped, and crawled away from the ruins. He was in a pretty bad shape, but at least his theories were confirmed. Behind him, Arayzeo was petting the dog, but didn't seem fazed by the touch. Either he was unaffected, either he was feeling it but not showing it, either adlets were a weirder species than he'd thought. That again, confirmed another of his theories. Kanny thought that, as someone able to sense magic, he was weaker to it than a regular human; but he had to test it on others first. Maybe bringing that robot dog back to the base could allow him to unravel the secret of the green stones. Whatever was that material and whyever it was made for, it was dangerous. If used as a weapon, it could probably kill people. And yet for some reason, this mineral didn't seem to be at its purest form. Kanny sampled a small chunk, but due to incompatibility with his notebook's magic, he had to store it in his pocket. If maybe he could crystallize it and only leave the poisonous parts, he could have a very powerful weapon.
((It's fine. If you want to say something, don't be afraid. Say it for everyone to see.))

(( Don't worry about it. Nobody really will complain if you do something wrong. Just keep in mind that in some more 'professional' RPs, doing actions for others might not be as accepted here. ))
When the first stick was thrown, back when Arayzeo and Kanny were just entering the ruins, the dog stopped all moviment, looking at the stick and assuming a strange stance. A whirring sound emitted from all four of it's leg, before dashing after the stick with ludicrous speed. It wasn't enough to return back to them before they procceeded deeper into the place, however. It returned without the stick, since it had no mouth.
It didn't answer at being pet, but it still felt Arayzeo's hand. It wagged it's tail, staring at Kanny and the crystals.

Peachy's construction has been going well, given little has disturbed its progress, so far. Rooms [all one floor] now include a foyer, a simple kitchen-possible room, [not actually a full scale kitchen yet, as no metals have been refined for use, and there are definitely no generators, but you can cook food and otherwise prepare food there, and several buckets made of wood and Peachy's adhesive are available for use.] two bedrooms, [more like barracks, there are multiple 'beds' per bedroom, but the 'beds' are just cloud-preserved grass and leaves stuck to each other, on top of wooden frames.] and one meeting-room with many chairs and a table [chair-cushions are a similar cloud-preserved plant material mass.] The walls have quite a bit of space between them slash thickness to them .. and there are places with strange holes in the design, as if future things are planned to go in them. As of "now" there are the beginnings of stairs, and evidence of more rooms, hallways, and mystery things planned. The heating isn't great if you use the stone fireplace that has access in both the foyer and meeting-room, but no-one is likely to freeze to death while its in use.

((now you know how I feel, heh. Don't worry.)
"I don't think there's much left to do.", Kanny said. "Let's go back. The others might need us."
He put his fingers to his mouth and whistled. Some seconds later, Steady walked by, following the path of fruit bits, and came to their level. Kanny pet its snout gently, and climbed on its back, helping Arayzeo get on. There wasn't room for the dog, but it could follow them on foot, given it was willing to leave the ruins. They trotted on the border of the green city, but saw nothing worth noticing. They kept like this for a moment, until they found the stream. Following it, they progressed back to the base, wary of bushtigers or other, unknown predators.
"What you gonna name it?", Kanny asked the adlet, out of the blue.
He showed him the green dog galluping next to them, trying to catch up with the steadrel's heavy walk. He couldn't think of a good enough name, even though he had the habit of giving funny aliases to everything. That was his way to bond with the world around him; but he didn't have any desire to bond with whatever that creature was, for the simple reason that it could maybe kill him. Now that he was thinking about it, the dog was made of the self material as Peachy, but didn't have any similar purple aura. He hadn't spotted any purple in the ruins, and that made him think a lot. He looked at one of the last peaches in his pocket: it still was ripe and fresh-looking, due to its violet coating, which had an alright taste. That meant for him, simply put: purple=good and green=bad.
"Hey, easy, girl. 't won't bite you.", he told the steadrel, who didn't quite feel good around the mecha dog.
For now, his two main theories were: 1) purple energy means the base material is active, and 2) they have nothing in common and Peachy is just an oddball. Literally. Even though he could be wrong, that was the current idea. He'd have to work on it, or experiment, but he was determined to find out. He'd also have to tell the others about it. And make lots and lots of experiments on that damned peachball, to unravel its mystery once and for all.

Arayzeo seemed surprised at the sudden question. A name? He never was very good at coming up with names. He took a few moments to try thinking of one, but everything was either too weird or too cliche to be worth suggesting. He finally just shrugged. "I dunno, to be honest. Maybe it already has one?"
He then remembered the mechanical dog's ability to form voices, and looked down at it to see if it would respond. "Do you have a name?"

The dog looked up at Arayzeo, tilting it's head sideways as it frequently did, before looking down slightly. The heartbeat in it's face-monitor temporarily stopped, going flat. The requisition of a name seems to have done something to it. "PULLING FROM DI A RY L O GS, PLEASE A WAIT MOMENT" Something on the dog's belly glowed incessantly, before stopping. The monitor resumed it's heartbeat, and the dog looked up. "FROM DI A RY L OG HASHCODE ONE ONE TWO SEVEN THREE FOUR FIVE, THIS UNIT WAS IDENTIFIED BY DIARY LOGGER HASHCODE THREE AS 'SPEEDER' "

(( I was wondering. We've got "frozen" characters there that could come back anywhen (isn't that right Drakeon ?) but maybe someone could play as Jason, since he's now in "public domain". That'd bring some variety, given you can reflect the character. I don't really expect anyone new to come around and play as an OC they don't know. Of course, juggling between charas isn't easy. Arayzeo smiled, glad to see the dog able to converse - at least to some extent. It was a simple answer to a simple question, but it sparked a thought in the adlet's mind. He wasn't sure if this potential information would be of much use - or if the dog was even capable of answering - but he figured it was still worth a shot. "...Speeder, would you happen to recall who or what named you?"

At first, it felt very weird. In his slumber, Jason had heard voices. He didn't make out any words or recognize them, but he could still sense what was happening. Whenever he had tried to move, he had found himself unable to. It was as if he had been trapped between a wakened dream and a lethargic existence. His body didn't feel like obeying, and he could only have vague feedback on what was going on around his frozen body. When his nerves started working again, the first thing Jason felt was warmth. He tried to move his hand, to get his sight back, to listen to what was going on. He tried to make out where and when he was, but failed at both. He managed to squirm a couple fingers, then a hand. He felt the surface he was laying on: it was soft and slightly rubbery, like grass covered in plastic. He blinked, getting accustomed to the ambient light. Around him were wooden walls; when he moved his neck, he saw what looked like a bedroom, with bunk beds where other people were laying down.
"Augh...what happened?"
He sat up, stretched his arms, as if waking from a very long sleep. Where was he? He tried to remember, but his memories were blurred, like a dream he couldn't recall anymore. He stood up, and looked at the other people. He recognized Will, the boy he had met earlier, and two other people which he couldn't remember the names of. Curious, he walked out of the room, still dizzy, and found himself in what looked like a large foyer. A small fire was burning in an improvised fireplace; Jason wondered how it could heat up the room efficiently. There was no one else in sight, so he tried looking around; but this house didn't even look complete. There were stairs leading to an open roof, as if a whole floor was yet to be built. This was a very poor design choice. He went out, blinked from the bright sunlight. He recognized the clearing he had landed in, except it was larger. There were people here: a young boy carrying twigs, a tiny robot, and a confused-looking girl. How much time did he sleep? Maybe those people could help him, or answer his questions.
"Hey there.", he greeted, approaching them. "Can someone tell me what happened here?"
((I think I know what kind of character is Jason supposed to be, but there might be some personal characterisation here and there. (and there's something I kind of want to do with that so yeah) ((I think it will be easier (and that goes for everyone who'd want to switch between characters) to keep it to one post=one chara (unless really necessary), and to precise at the top whose POV you're doing. Thank you.))

(Pov: Kanny)
When they reached the rocky bridge that could get them home, they had to get off the steadrel and lead it on foot. The animal was quite scared, and a bit too large to cross, but a couple purple peaches convinced it. Behind, Speeder (as it was seemingly called) was trying not to slip on the wet rocks; it had a dog's intelligence but not its agility. When they crossed after a long moment trying ("We'll need a more sturdy access to the other side."), Kanny picked a couple herbs by the riverside, and gave them to Steady. The big squirrel sniffed them for a moment, then turned its snout away in disgust. Kanny grinned: poisonous. He picked a couple more, and stored them in his pocket, next to his penknife. If he could poison his weapon, he'd be more efficient. From then on, it only took them a minute's walk to get back to the base.
"Finally home.", he sighed. "Can't wait to rest after all that stuff."
