Well that was disappointing.
I had a dream where there was this amateur group who for a little money would record a live-action version of a story someone had written and post it on YouTube. I had written a fairly lengthy story myself that I was proud of and so I sent them some money with a link to the story. I then spent most of the dream watching their performance of it; it was pretty good despite their lack of budget for special effects. Upon finishing the last episode, I woke up, realizing it was all a dream and that A. The group does not exist and did not do my story, B. My story doesn't exist anyway, and C. I only remembered small bits and pieces of my dream, so I can't even recreate the story. So all that story that I though was so cool and was so proud of does not exist and will never exist...
...Though in all fairness, even if I did remember it, it probably wasn't as good as i remember it being.

Well, I'll keep posting here even if no one else is.
I had a dream last night where I was playing a Metroid game. Samus was fighting through aliens that resembled a sort of mix between tentacle monsters and aleins from the Alien franchise. She was trying to get to the control room to save the general in charge of the space station she was on, but she got there just a bit too late. She entered the room just in time to find the general pulled into some alien pod on the ceiling. Samus tried to get to the pod, but was overwhelmed herself and got pulled into a newly formed pod herself. A short bit later an ooze seeped out of Samus's pod and it reformed into Samus's image, armor and all, and the general was soon to follow. The aliens had converted them into their own kind, but kept their appearance and intelligence so they could infiltrate humanity. For a moment it seemed this plan worked, but then Samus resisted her instincts and attacked the other aliens there, choosing to side with humanity over what was now her kind. The aliens had been more successful in converting the general's mind and he did not understand Samus's actions, but still had a large amount of respect for Samus, and decided to help her for that reason alone. After clearing out the other aliens in the control room, Samus went out to try to save the humans that remained in the station, making use of her new abilities that her new body granted her, and the general went on to act as mission control.

Ok, so I just had a really weird dream happen to me last night. Or rather, not so much the dream itself that was weird, but rather, the ending:
So in the dream I was with a group of people and we decided to play some sort of multiplayer Zelda game together. While the game was called Zelda, the main character was called Link and had a sword called the Master Sword, and the other characters resembled the different Zelda races, the game was otherwise not very Zelda-like, being set in a semi-realistic modern day setting. The guy playing Link was having saving issues, so we set out to complete the game in an entire sitting. The dream ended up changing to being the story of the game instead of the story of us playing the game (a sort of change my dreams will sometimes do), though it retained many video game-like elements. Link and his companions were on the trail of this boy who had been corrupted by some evil force and stolen the Master Sword. We discovered him hiding out and living in the basement of a barber shop, only for him to escape and hide in an abandoned warehouse. Once again he was found, and once again he escaped, this time sneaking into a high class establishment. As the group did not have access to the establishment themselves, they were forced to sneak in as well and not be seen while trailing the boy. Eventually, the boy was cornered on the roof of the building, triggering a boss battle. Link took out a gun and shot the sword out of his hand, depleting 7/8 of the boss health bar knocking the boy unconscious. Rather than finishing him off, Link first grabbed the sword and returned it to its pedestal (which they got to quickly for some reason. Just then, the sword began glowing with an evil energy and spoke to Link, revealing it to be the source of the boy's corruption. Laughing, it offered for link to join the boy in the corruption. Then three options game up, either to give in to the sword's demands (which was locked for some reason), or one of two magical attacks that I had no idea what they did. Mad at myself for not saving before this (having thought the game was basically over with the sword returned) and not knowing witch attack to use, I simply pick the first one (and yes, the dream still is set in the story, despite this rather meta reasoning, as if I was controlling the dream directly in a way). It had no effect, and a second choice came up with two different options. Before I could decide, the sword attacked but Link was able to defend in time, holding up a shield that looked like the Silver Shield from Breath of the Wild.
And this is where things start to get weird: I realize that one of the attacks is called "The Seven Seals" and is likely to be the correct way to seal away the evil energy with the power of the Seven Sages through the seven members of the group. The only thing is, the dream fails to specify if this was the other attack in the first choice, one of the options in the second choice, or a new option that appeared after blocking the attack. The dream shows Link and his friends sealing away the dark energy in a ball of yellow light, but this scene fails to fit in with the narrative, which never actually got past Link blocking the attack. Furthermore, the not even this scene truly ends. I then get a still image of the sword in its pedestal, free from the dark energy, but somehow this fails to provide closure. Was the evil energy sealed away? Did it jump to Link and corrupt him instead? Is this scene really the end, or some sort of wishful thinking? It almost felt like I somehow, not satisfied with the way things were going, tried to force a happy ending to the dream causing the dream to fall apart. But as I tried to make sense of the situation, I found myself waking up, very confused.
After waking up, I just lied in bed for a while trying to think things through. Another possibility I came up with was that I was the evil energy and being sealed away prevented me from further viewing the scene. It sounds weird typing it out like that, but in my just awakened state, it just seemed to fit so well. A more mundane out-of-dream explanation would be that I was waking up, but still clinging to the dream as I was so close to a conclusion, causing things to fall apart, but if that's the case, why hasn't this sort of thing happened before, and why'd I get up at such a strange time: about 25 minutes before my alarm went off on a day where I stayed up later than usual on the night before. Or it could be like I said before, my mind being unhappy with the way things were going and trying to force a better ending. The only thing is, I have done similar before, only, it was always a conscious decision upon half waking up to continue sleeping and push the dream in a better direction, and this has never "broke" the dream. Alternatively there have been times where I end up fixing parts of the dream, only to get stuck in a sort of loop of going back to the same part and confusing myself awake, but that's not what happened here either. Just... what the hell was that?
Sorry if this comes off as confusing to read, it's hard to put my thoughts about this and how I feel into words.

So I just had a fairly interesting dream last night:
The dream focuses on a man (who the dream considers to be the guy from Doom, despite the fact that the only similarity between him and Doom Guy is that they both end up fighting demons in Hell) living in an apartment with two roommates, a guy and a college-age girl. A man contacts Doom Guy to tell him he needs to go through a controlled portal in the basement of the building into Hell and defeat the demons embodying the seven deadly sins (the dream never reveals the reason for doing so, but does imply there is one). Despite the fact that the female roommate is in the middle of making dinner, Doom Guy is eager to start and immediately rushes down to the portal. Upon entering, he is met by a very aggressive Envy who, he ends up reasoning with and getting to calm down. Having been "defeated," Envy takes him, and the guy who sent him on the assignment, to his house in hell and fixes up some dinner of putrid meat and "sorrow chips" (green, potato chip-like food made from tears of sorrow). While the sorrow chips prove to be actually quite good, the meat is very unappetizing to non-demons. Fortunately, the female roommate arrives with the dinner she made, so they have that with sorrow chips on the side. The guy who gave him the assignment further elaborates on the task: The other six demons would be less immediately aggressive (due to its nature, Envy was specifically focused on him whereas the others have a more generalized sin), but also far more difficult, so he couldn't be reckless. As they talked, however, it became clear the make roommate wasn't showing up for dinner and they discovered he went off to fight Wrath and was killed. Doom Guy then inquired about the location of the female roommate (somehow the dream forgot that she was the girl right there with them, but dreams do that sort of thing sometimes), only to learn that she never existed and was just a figment of his imagination. Angered by this revelation, Doom Guy storms out without finishing his meal to go fight another demon, choosing to go after Gluttony. The group (the man who sent him on the assignment, the girl who is apparently not the female roommate, and Envy) all try to stop him, worried that without finishing his meal he'll die of dehydration, but he was already gone. He soon became aware of the danger of the situation he was in, though, as Gluttony almost killed him in one attack forcing him to retreat. Then I woke up.

Well, the dream I had last night was interesting as it could not stay consistent. In particular, there are three different entirely different versions of the same events:
Version 1: This is the most "stable" and longest version. I'm in a school, but everyone is acting aggressive and trying to attack me, as if possessed by some evil force. Furthermore, the layout is expansive and confusing. I'm trying to find the exit adventure game style by picking up everything I find, when I come across a sticker with a picture of a woman on it that that no one else seems to acknowledge the existence of, yet instinctively shies away from. Holding onto it as I explore, I end up in a giant gymnasium, which seems to be populated by large floating eyeballs, so I get back out quickly. I head back into the hallway that for some reason does a loom around the gym, but when I try to exit this loop, suddenly the world changes, becoming red tinted and bloody, with the door out of the loop blocked and a ceiling of blood slowly descending on me. I knew my only option was heading back to the gym before the ceiling closed in, but my movements were slowed and the students even more violent. I did make it to the gym, though, to find the atmosphere slightly let up, but the large eyeballs, controlled by one giant one, were now dripping blood themselves and attacking. Somehow, upon entering the gym, I obtained a rather sizable book, and to free up my hands to fight I stashed the sticker in one of the pages of the book. Upon doing so, suddenly everything returned to its normal appearance, and the giant eyeball turned into a person, free from corruption. The man introduced himself as either the janitor or the security guard (the dream kept switching back and forth), and explained that the book I got was his journal of how he got caught up in the corruption of the school and tried to escape, but was killed, turning him into a monster. Somehow the sticker I found (though my dream being inconsistent again changed it to a page of that woman's diary) had purified his corruption. We were both unsure if removing the page would revert him back to a monster, but we didn't want to test it, and we somehow knew I would need to find different pages if I was to use them to purify future "bosses" anyway. Leaving the man behind, I continued my exploration and the dream kind of skipped over the next events to where I purified another person, a female teaching assistant, but this time I decided it'd be helpful to have her travel with me. Not long into our travels, a vortex appeared behind us, pulling the woman into it. We tried to stop it, to no avail, and the dream changed focus to her. Upon reaching the back of the (oddly shallow) vortex, suddenly everything took on a cartoonish look and she fell back out the front. She found herself floating in the air, and chased after a giant eyeball she saw in the distance surrounded by other large eyeballs. Upon catching up, the janitor/security guard reverted to his human form and explained that they were heading to the afterlife, as they had been killed and this was just reality catching up to them. He was still purified, but in this limbo-like realm, he could still change to his monster form, which he had grown accustomed to. And this is as far as this version got.
Version 2: This is the version I remember the worst. I was a scientist at a research station when some of the other scientists and staff members started going crazy and turning violent. Those of us still sane, were able to devise a way to exorcise the others and performed our first successful test on the janitor (yes, the same guy as in version 1). We continued to catch those who went insane and cure them, until there were only two left, both captured. The first one we went to exorcise was a female scientist (NOT the same as the woman in version 1), but we were only able to extract about 80% of the evil, before it grew stronger and started tacking back control over her, ultimately giving her the ability to escape. As it turns out she was actually the source of all the evil, and had deliberately created it, corrupting herself, and then spreading it to others. This is as far as this version got.
Version 3: This is the most disjointed and inconsistent version, and I had to piece a lot of stuff together to form somewhat of a narrative. I was back in high school, and while my room was the same as my real room that I had at the time, the school was completely different. In fact, it was the same school as in Version 1, but without any corruption. For some reason I ended up taking a sewing class, joining partway through the school year. One of my classmates mentioned a project due soon where we had to sew together a Mickey Mouse plushie. But I was far too interested in the required reading book (Which looked the same as the journal I found in version 1) and kept procrastinating, never really getting started. Back at my room at home I started writing a story in the book, which was actually a notebook now, still putting off making the Mickey plushie. The story involved scientists at a research station, trying to save other members who were corrupted by some evil force. With every person they tried to save, the only ended up killing them instead, until one they were finally successful in saving one woman (the same woman from Version 2). Despite saving her, something still wasn't right with her, though. At this point, my parents came in, curious as to what I was doing, and I decided to show off what I had written. I had wrote it up a while ago, however (yes the dream was really messing with continuity at this point), so I had to piece together the badly degraded papers I had written the story on and originally had slipped into the book, a science notebook that I had based the story on. The book itself was in great condition, and I was able to reassemble the Lego props I had made for the story, but the story itself was in such bad condition and so many pieces that I was only able to assemble bits and pieces of it. At this point, I woke up.

So I just had an interesting dream. Unlike most dreams, it was set in my parent's real house and neighborhood, but everything was mixed up: In the dream the house was my house, not my parents, it was Winter and snowing (obviously not the case in real life right now), my mom refused to leave the house to even walk to a car to get to work (in real life, she often walks to work), and I was up bright and early with plenty of time to get to work on time (that almost never happens). I recall that there was more, but there's a lot I don't remember of the dream.
Oh, and my family and I designed and 3D-printed a working car. That was probably the most typically dreamlike part of the dream.

Ok, so I'll just put this note here. It was written at the end of my dream by a character in a game I was playing in the dream, and pretty much sums up the events of said game. It almost comes off as a weird sort of fanfiction, though there's enough casual absurdity to make it clear it's a dream. I don't remember the exact wording for most of it (it was a dream after all, so it's possible there even was no exact wording for some parts), so I just put what sounded right and got the meaning across:
"It was a dark day when I stood in my room, tying up the rope with the ring discarded. Ah yes, the ring. I knew it was bad news, with its circle of red crosses etched into it. It would always give me an option to solve my problems, but it always came with a terrible price. And yet, I held onto it as a family heirloom, sure I could identify and reject its tainted promises. Its latest development came in the form of a weird man, selling q-tips laced with some pseudoscience concoction to help clear my mind so I could figure out how to achieve my heart's desire. For me that was Chad, the new kid in the debate club, who I wanted as my boyfriend. I recognized it as one of my ring's temptations, and turned it down, but he offered me free samples, which I had a hard time refusing. So I took the 4 q-tips and set them on the table by my bed. Amanda, the other one with free samples was less apprehensive, and she became much more successful, but I could tell something was wrong with her. Nonetheless, Chad started to show an interest in my classmate, and in a moment of weakness, I took a q-tip and started to put it in my ear. I only got to touching part of my inner ear once before gathering my will and stopping. It seemed to burn the part of my ear it touched, but I had gained a new understanding of the world. I was able to manipulate the situation to steal Chad's heart, and become the most popular girl at the school, but something about reality was eating me at the time, though I couldn't figure out what. It made me curious and I had to know what it was, so I finally used the q-tip fully, finally opening up my mind's third eye and learning the truth about this world. Chad doesn't exist. I don't exist. I was merely a character in a game. How could I live with the knowledge that all my life was scripted, that everyone I knew was simply following their programming. So I did it, I discarded my ring, tied the noose and commit suicide. And yet, the game didn't know how to handle death. Though I died, my body put to rest in a graveyard, I showed up to school next day as if nothing had happened. I broke up with Chad and quit the debate club. How could I date someone I knew wasn't real? How could I live in this fake world? But as I came to learn more about this world, I came to a realization. Maybe Chad wasn't real, but his player was. I've lost my chance with him, but if I became part of a new game, perhaps I could forge a relationship with a new player through a new main character. This is my chance to find meaning in my pre-programmed life. Tomorrow I'm starting a new club. Here goes nothing."

Sometimes I wonder if anyone's actually reading these or if I'm just writing to the void.
Anyway, last night I had a dream where I was asked to babysit for a poor single mother with 6 daughters. Everything started off normal, and most of them were old enough to take care of themselves (Honestly, they were old enough to be fine without a babysitter, but, you know, dream logic), but strange events start happening and I was warned by some of the sisters that this meant the youngest (the dream was a bit unclear about the concept of age, as she was the firstborn...) was about to be controlled by a demon that was possessing her and would try to kill me. In avoiding the girl, with the other sister's help, I began learning about the family's history. The mother had married a man and they had lived happily, giving birth to a daughter. They had very traditional values where the father went off to work and the mother was a stay-at-home housewife. An event happened (the dream wasn't clear what) where the daughter discovered she was gay. Her mom accepted this, but her dad could not, and got angry at her, as well as the mother for taking her side. She began feeling insecure due to her father's statements and domestic turmoil, and an opportunistic demon took advantage of this to possess her causing her to kill her father. Without any job skills of credentials, the mother ended up going into prostitution for the money to get by. As she still clung to some of her very traditional values, she didn't use protection or have any abortion and ended up with 5 more daughters, but she was committed and determined to be a loving and caring mother. The "youngest" remained possessed, however, leading to multiple mysterious deaths surrounding the family, tainting their reputation, and growing stronger with each kill. I knew if I was careful enough, I could avoid getting killed, but I wanted to do more, and the demon had grown far too strong for me to defeat. I found a device that would let me go back in time, and used it to go back to the event that started all this and stop things at the source. I stopped the event that made the girl discover she was gay and returned to the present. Sure enough, the mother and father were still together, now wealthy and living in a mansion, and the girl was no longer possessed. However, the family had grown to be uncaring and bigoted, as well as neglectful of their daughter. Taking after her parents, she subconsciously repressed her homosexuality, and because of that and her own bigoted views, she went out with lots of boys, all of then ending in disaster. But perhaps worst of all was that because the mother hadn't entered a life of prostitution, she never had the other daughters; I saved the lives of everyone the demon had killed, but I erased 5 people from existence. Knowing I could do better, I went back in time again and undid my changes, but then I confronted the demon just before it was able to possess the girl, and defeated it. Going back to the present, things were back to the way they were originally, except the without the girl being possessed, her mother and father had simply divorced and the mysterious killings never happened. Then I woke up.

Ok, what the hell subconscious, what even was that!? I've had a few nightmares before in my life, but they were always just from fear, and never this strong. With this one I've never been so creeped out from anything in my life, and it was from a freakin dream!
So I don't remember much leading up to this point in the dream (what happened kind of dominated my thoughts, making me mostly forget the rest), but I was on vacation, in a large vacation house with my extended family. For the moment I was the only one inside and the sun was setting. I was lying on a large bed, one of two in the room, where the head of the beads was under a large window. The blinds were down, but I could tell it was sunset out the window. I was on my computer looking at images on DeviantArt. Remembering one image I liked, I tried to find it in the artist's gallery, and I came to realize the artist had two accounts, an old one and a new one. In starting looking through the old account, I came across a compilation video of the artist's various works in on YouTube that I decided to watch. A few works into the video I came across a claymation type animation where a guy is being interviewed in his backyard. He talks about his recent acquisitions of some interesting pets, and how some tried to escape, but he put a stop to that. He acts like what he did was normal, but there were a few of his "pets" in the yard with him, and they were obviously kidnapped people who were mutated and whose forms were partially melted. One of them tried to cry for help and reveal the truth about what was going on, but all he was able to do is make a loud unintelligible noise as his vocal chords were no longer there and air was escaping out the tips of his fingers and other holes in his body, making him unable to get the message out. This ... really disturbed me, and I wanted to add a comment about how disturbing that one was to the video, but I decided to finish watching first, going through some more normal creations (relatively, they were still kind of weird, but nowhere near as disturbing as that one). Before the video finished, however, it stopped loading properly. Furthermore, the page wouldn't refresh or scroll properly. I noticed it was fully dark out, so to alleviate my creeped out feeling, I went to turn on the lamp to the left on the table between the beds. It wouldn't turn on, so I assumed it was burnt out, so I turned instead to the lamp to the right, one of the ones with multiple lights each on a movable metallic "arm." I tried the two main lights on it, and neither of them worked, furthering my feeling of being creeped out as it I was sure one of them was on not too long ago and I didn't notice it going out. Finally, I was able to get an LED light on a side "arm" turned on. It wasn't that bright, but it did help calm me somewhat. Going back to my computer, the screen had turned off despite it being not that long since I was on it. Moving the mouse turned it back on like usual, but the webpage still refused to cooperate. I decided to wait it out and go to the tab with DeviantArt open, find the work there and comment on it directly, but very quickly even that page started working sluggishly, eventually becoming unresponsive. It was becoming clear that something was going wrong with anything powered by electricity, but in ways that made no logical sense. My creeped out feelings began to turn to outright dread as I became more and more aware of just how unnaturally still everything was with no one else in the building and the darkness almost seemed tangible. My only comfort was the light of the small LED light, but I didn't know if I could trust even that due to it being electric in nature. Fortunately, at this point, the familiar beeping of my alarm clock penetrated the dream, bringing me fully awake, conforted seeling the laws of the universe working properly, but still deeply disturbed.
Edit: I've been thinking about this for a while, and it occurred to me that in the dream I made it worse for myself. The whole thing with unnatural stillness and tangible darkness came largely by the appearance of things as they were lit up by the LED light ... powered by electricity, which we already established was behaving strangely. It wasn't the darkness that was unnatural, but the light, the very same light I found comfort in... It's almost as if my subconscious was sending me a message about my unhealthy reliance on electricity and electronics. I may very well be overthinking things, but if this is right, well played subconscious, well played.

Yikes, sorry to hear about that.
Surprise! I've been trying to keep tabs even if I've been quiet. That's definitely pretty disturbing though.
I've had nightmares with a similar thread where things just... start to go wrong and behave abnormally. Not necessarily just electrical, and in fact it's sort of a recurring theme where the house itself seems to be "alive" aware of me and doesn't like me. Kind of surreal. But actually lately, it's beginning to feel like I'm becoming more lucid in my dreams, if not fully aware, then at least aware enough where if something unpleasant starts to happen I will generally realize I can do anything so I won't really be in danger. I distinctly remember a dream from a few nights ago where it seemed like someone was going to try to kill me but I became aware enough to be able to overpower them. And then I think I was lucid enough to realize the opportunity I had so I started using psychic powers and stuff to have fun :B I'd like to have more dreams like that.
Anyway, I think if a dream ever tried to teach me something, it'd never be that same lesson XD I might be a little over-reliant on modern technology but basically my entire social life exists solely online, I'd be a shell of myself without the friends I made over the internet.

Huh, I've actually had similarly semi-lucid dreams, but it always seems to happen when I'm more of an observer directing the events rather than in the dreams where I'm viewing it as myself being a character in the dream.

I just had a dream where Star Wars: Battlefront 3 was coming out, and was looking to be just as bad as the previous instalment. However I discovered the cause was that EA was under the control of an eldritch entity who had grown imbittered with humanity, and after talking to it I was able to have it give us a second chance and do away with all the bad business practices. If only it was that easy...

Eldritch Abomination?
Perhaps this dream may be more prophetic than you give it credit for.

I just had a dream where I went to an art museum and accidently got stuck inside the paintings somehow. I could move from painting to painting Harry Potter picture style, but I couldn't get out. The museum staff ended up having me move into a special sculpture in storage that they then chiseled me out of, but while I was finally free, I was now made of a paper-like substance and stuck in impressionist style.
Also I was a female, but that's not particularly relevant to what happened.

A few days ago I had a dream about Hiveswap. When I saw your post, I was reminded of this and came to try to tell about it, but I couldn't remember it at all, no matter how hard I tried, so I gave up. Then by total random luck while I was at work today it came to me, so yay!
Well, some of it anyway. It's hard to remember most of my dreams if I don't write them down, but it ends up being too much work to do that, so I never keep up with it. But anyway, it was a dream about Hiveswap, act 2 I guess. Or maybe Hauntswitch? That would make sense because it took place at half-harley manor, from what I can recall. It was sort of bizarre. I mainly remember one kind of section where you're either watching, guiding, or playing as this sort of... like, glob of energized slime or something. I think your/its goal is to open or get past a locked door? And it potentially also had a second, more natural Earthling form, maybe as a disguise, something it was prior to being transformed, or simply a transformation ability it possesses. Which I don't know if that was relevant to the puzzle. So, kinda weird. But I guess just memorable enough that I could relate it here!

I know how you feel; I wish there was a faster and easier way to get dreams recorded. Honestly, I think the main reason I write my most interesting dreams here despite you seemingly being the only one left reading them is because it gives me extra incentive to write it down, even if I don't usually go into full detail with what I write here.

So I actually had a Homestuck dream last night. I don't remember it all that well, but the main thing was there were a couple of cherubs. I can't for the life for the life of me remember if I came up with these characters before that, or if the dream invented them, but I remember that they were each other's siblings, or whatever term you want to use. It could be they were simply time-displaced from each other, so one of them is just their future self, and they coordinate their naps or something. Either way, they also weirdly got along. I recall they were the opposite of Lord English (and also may have worked for him but nevermind), so the limeblooded one was the evil one and the redblooded one was the "good" one, but in sort of an empty sense, sort of along the same lines as predominated Calliope, where he had morality and a conscience but felt forced to do whatever evil actions he and his sister were doing, and was kind of beaten down. I seem to recall they liked to dress in nice semiformal clothes? I could stand to draw them.
Not related to that I also had a dream about One-Punch Man season 2. In my dream it was pretty odd, but pretty good. I guess I'm really getting excited/anxious about how that's gonna turn out.

Way back, years ago, I had a fear of Larry Boy. This led to four separate nightmares about him. I can remember all except for the second. First: I walk down a hallway, turn around, and walk back. I turn around again and Larry Boy appears and scares me. Third: MODOK is firing lasers randomly and dies. Larry Boy just sort of... rips his corpse in two like paper (no blood, I was young) and emerges from it with vampire teeth. Fourth (my personal favorite): I enter a pitch-black room with a table in it. This table has candles on it. I know that if I knock the candles off of the table then Larry Boy will appear-- aaand I just knocked the candles off of the table. Larry Boy appears with two reddish gourds at his side.
Although it scared me as a kid, these nightmares actually inspired an enemy in a video game that I plan to create.

I just had a dream where Nintendo was running low on funds. Capitalizing on that, one of their competitors created an ad portraying Nintendo as cartoonish buffoons lead by an octopus girl (like a mermaid but with octopus tentacles rather than a fish tail), ridiculing the decisions leading them to losing most of their money. In an attempt to fix their situation, Nintendo bought an old RV company for some reason, and continued their development on and RV that not only acted as a temporary living space and a vehicle, but also as a boat and a plane. In advertising this "all in one RV" as they called it, they decided to also do damage control regarding their rival's ad. Rather than refute it, they decided to embrace it, and had their ad pick up where the competitor’s ad left off, but instead portrayed the cartoonish goofiness as endearing rather than buffoonish. They ended up going all in on this idea, turn the octopus girl into one of their mascots and even making a movie set in the canon established by their competitor’s ad. And that’s about when I woke up.

Every night, I have the same dream. Sure, there are other dreams that get in there too but I must always have a dream like this: It's vacation time, or it was, and it's time to head home. I'm packing up my car, friends and family in tow or not, and then I have to drive home. I drive, in that dream car, until I wake up. Sometimes it's 5 minutes, sometimes it feels like 5 hours. Almost every single time, I see something that makes me think I am in a dream but then I tell myself, "Oh wow, this is like in my dreams" and dumbly continue on.
I cannot be made wiser to this situation, and I can't seem to figure out why this keeps happening. Pity me.

I'm a pony collector. I don't really have pony-related dreams often, but last night I did.
I was a white pony with fairy wings. Me and my other pony friends were being challenged to climb a staircase made of pillows and fleeces of various character patterns, but with each step we had to name the characters on the fabric. "Mario, Luigi, Mario again, Luigi again, oh that's Sweetberry!", etc. We were on the boundaries of the city, and to get back into city limits we had to go up the staircase. At the last step, the pillow fell and I was dangling there, but another pony friend came to help me and we all got up. The pony who originally challenged us was really frustrated we beat her, but we were having fun.
Then, in this already nighttime in a dark (like underground, but not) city, the moon straight up fucking exploded (I've been watching too much Eggman Pisses on the Moon I guess). Also all of the sudden we were all human but no one addressed this change. We all freaked out because oh my god the world's gonna be dark forever! The plants are gonna die! Guess the moon and the sun were the same thing here??? But it was definitely a big fuckin ROCK. Also all the oxygen was gone but we could still breathe outside sometimes and there were invisible monsters in the streets.
So, we set up base in what was a crashed, abandoned spaceship on the raised platform that was the city, overlooking the outskirts. It was chill and I don't remember much except that it had a Borderlands TPS vibe combined with everything is grayscale except the people.
Later, my mom and I were in the car together driving through the city, but we were freaked out about the moon having blown up and that we were all gonna die sooner or later. Then an invisible monster came over, and we had to pull in front of a store and stop to wait for it to go away. My abuela was in the backseat, and we had three glowing scifi water bottles in the cup holders up front, in purple, orange, and green. We discovered that if we smeared the water-like liquid on us, we'd glow that color where the liquid was. For some reason it'd help us survive?? I don't know. So we all grabbed one but my abuela wanted the orange one, not the green one, so she complained about it but used the green anyway.
My dreams are getting more surreal and honestly I don't know other than I'M PISSING ON THE MOOOOOOOON.

So I just had a really disturbing dream. The worst part? The disturbing part wasn't some monster or situation I was stuck in; the disturbing part was me and my own actions.
To start with, I was corrupted and turning into a slime and eventually decided to leave the human part of myself behind and live on as a slime. That alone wouldn't have been disturbing for a dream, but 1. I told no one about this of, and few knew I was even turning into a slime, so when people found my body they understandably freaked out, and I did nothing to allay their concerns because I didn't care, and 2. I had discovered that my slime and human parts had been sharing thoughts as if we were one mind, but in fact we were two separate consciousnesses, with the slime doing more and more of the thinking over time. When I split off, I left my human consciousness in my human body, now mostly braindead but still technically alive. Again, I knew this, but didn't care.
Later on, I mated with a (non-sentient) tree and gave birth to a daughter, who would ultimately be classified as a slime-dryad. The thing was, I had no real intention to raise her beyond the bare minimum and simply wished to use her as a status symbol and someone to control. Furthermore, it was a risky thing to do, the possibility of a slime-dryad had never had never been properly studied and it's entirely possible she'd die due to health complications. when my friend pointed this out to me, I was once again quite flippant about it.
Then there was a guy who, understandably mad about how I was acting and what I did with my human self, tried to get in my way; in the resulting conflict, I ended up ruining his life. Admittedly, he was taking things way to far himself, and it was largely his own fault things ended up how they were, but near the end of the dream, my friend and I (yes, the same friend who was the voice of reason about my daughter), saw him in tattered clothes cleaning windows and we laughed about how poor he was in our golden mansion that we considered to be a sign of how much better we were than him.
So yeah, I was basically a evil, greedy sociopath throughout the entire dream. I suppose the argument could be made that it was the slime that was evil, not me. After all, it was established early on that it was a separate consciousness from myself and slimes are generally portrayed as monsters, but that doesn't change the fact I wasn't my human self in the dream, I was the slime. If I had to make an analysis, though, it may have something to do with how I do have some sociopathic traits in reality, and the dream represents my fears of what I might be like if these were ever freed from my sense of morality and other factors keeping them in check, as in the dream, I quite literally leave these things behind with my human body. Though I suppose the fact that I find this dream disturbing is in and of itself comforting.

So I just had a dream where I was part of a government agency tasked with dealing with a threat of some sort of eldritch being in a large high school. It was a mass of red flesh-like substance slowly growing and coating the floor and walls of the gymnasium. I sent commando units into the gym with flamethrowers, but upon entering the room, they immediately became enthralled by the entity and were consumed by it. Searching for another solution, I discovered a different eldritch entity in the school's other gym. This one was just sort of a giant lump with one large eyeball and had been the center of a cult of brainwashed followers for years now. While this second entity wasn't exactly good, it wasn't outright evil either, and also felt threatened by the first entity (it wasn't very mobile, and wouldn't be able to escape being subsumed itself if the first entity grew to reach it's own gym). Unfortunately, it was too physically weak and immobile to help directly, and though it did have power over peoples' minds, the other entity was stronger, so it couldn't protect my units from the other's enthrallment. I ultimately came up with an idea: While it could not protect us from the other's control, its cultists were heavily enough under its thrall that they would be immune to the other. So I started gathering his followrs, as well as what I discovered were the children it has had with his followers, being smaller, more humanoid versions of itself, and began to get them armed to attack the first entity. Then I woke up.

I don't often remember my dreams. I saw this thread awhile back and thought "I'll try and remember the next one". So here we are.
I dreamed I was in a subway. Not the sandwich place, the underground transit system. I've never physically been to one, but obviously I've seen them in various media. A lot of details are fuzzy, but that's how my dreams usually are. In my dream I found a magical ring. With the logic of dreams, I somehow knew it was magical right away. As well as how to use it. The ring gave me the power to make any surface slippery and slick. Like oil except it didn't stain clothes. Pretty lame power in retrospect. Still, I was fairly blown away by it at the time. Real magic? So cool. What happened next is mostly a blank until I realized I was being pursued by a group (coven?) of witches. They wanted the ring. I think it belonged to one of them, but my attitude was basically "Yeah, well, fuck you." So the dream from then on was mostly me sliding through subway tunnels on magical oil to escape them. I'd leave trails of magical oil leading off in different directions behind me to throw them off. I've heard some people dream about running in slow motion, but I was moving really fast. I mean I was cookin'. Granted, I wasn't running. I was sliding. The sensation of speed and momentum felt so real. The tunnels twisted and dipped. Forming all kinds of crazy angles I'm sure real life subway tunnels do not have. This went on for awhile, long after I was sure I'd given the witches the slip. I didn't have any way to stop myself. Abruptly, I hit a dead end. Slammed into a wall. Then I woke up.
I'm trying to remember what the witches looked like. I think they were just person-shaped silhouettes.
