Welp, I guess I'll make a Forum Game.......enjoy, I guess!
Somewhere in the future.......
Advancements in computer technology started accelerating at a rapid rate, and the Internet start becoming essentially a whole world onto itself. Eventually, advanced programs were developed to explore the Internet, called "Avagrams", a compound of "avatar" and "program". These Avagrams were capable of interfacing and manipulating the Internet far more effectively than any program before them. Eventually this technology became as widespread as the Internet itself.
Hi-Cast Internet Services, USA
Hi-Cast Internet Services was a ISP that delivered Internet services to at least 20% of the US population.
It was just another nice day. No new attempts to hack into the system that the advanced security Avagrams couldn't deal with, no unusual traffic, when suddenly-the Hi-Cast HQ in Silicon Valley was broken into.
"This place is ours. Get out, or we shoot!"
Hi-Cast Headquarters were taken by an unknown organization. No one really knew about them, just the fact they had advanced Avagrams and hacking technology, as well as plenty of military weapons and vehicles in real life. They called themselves the "Central Internet Organization". Once the organization took over, everything at "Hi-Cast" changed. It was a long-time policy of Hi-Cast to treat all data and Avagrams that utilized their services equally, no ifs, ands, or buts But once the Central Internet Organization took over, that changed. Soon "Hi-Cast" started charging more for their services, and granted "high-priority traffic" to the highest bidder, at the expense of those who did not or could not pay extra. "Hi-Cast" regularly collected user data and sold it to various other parties, including those with sketchy backgrounds or even black market dealers themselves, provided they would pay enough. The CIO used the money to make powerful cyberweapons and upgrade their systems, in an attempt to assert control over more and more of the Internet around the entire world,
seizing control of more servers and ISPs.
However, not all hope was lost. The Hi-Cast Board of Directors and CEO managed to escape more or less unharmed and managed to find a safe place from which to organize. After hearing of the intrusion and CIO, many more joined their cause. Companies, citizens, and governments all joined the cause to fight back against the CIO, making Avagrams of their own. The coalition of governments, companies, people, organizations, and AIs that joined to fight against the CIO were called the Internet Freedom and Neutrality Alliance, an organization dedicated to keeping the Internet and the data and information that was on it free for everyone, and to defend net neutrality from those who might seek to dominate the Internet for profit.
One of the most elite units in the IFNA, and the most well known was the 7th Army's 420th Avagram Platoon, Omega Platoon. Considered to be similar to SEAL Team 6, Omega Platoon were the special operations group of the IFNA. Often times IFNA soldiers were transferred here only if they had shown remarkable combat ability in their previous units, but they did sometimes transfer soldiers there for other reasons. The Omega Platoon was sent on some of the most remarkable and dangerous missions, fighting against powerful CIO forces and gathering intel from the darkest depths of CIO servers. They were also the group on display frequently, for outreach and recruitment for the IFNA. These guys were simply put, some of the most bad@$$ people ever to fight for the IFNA.
You are a recruit who has just been assigned to Omega Platoon. You know your part in the fight is going to be difficult, but you also know it's very important. Your time in this unit will define your status as one of the most powerful Avagrams in all of Internet history. This is your story.

Character in game (All fictional characters are allowed, as well as OCs and memes, but please try not to choose obscure characters. Non-OCs should be able to be searched with Google. I will balance OP chars):

The weapon types follow a basic rock-paper-scissors system. Melee beats Magic, Magic beats Ranged, Ranged beats Melee.
You attack with +20% power if you're using a weapon type that is your preferred weapon type. Also that kind of weapon will spawn more often from drops.
Using an advantageous weapon type will grant +25% power. Using a disadvantageous one will result in -25% power.
