Today, the 30th of March 2017, it's been exactly one year since I first started the Omegaupdate forums!
I can hardly believe it's already been that long.
To think that when I first started it, I thought we'd need it for just a few days or a few weeks at most!
When the MSPA Forums went down, we had no idea how long we would be without it. And sadly, we're still not sure when the official replacement forums will finally arrive.
It's been a much longer ride than I would have originally thought, but I have no regrets of starting this thing.
We've reached 1713 members at the moment of writing this, a way bigger amount than I ever would have dared to think possible! And it continues to grow every day.
I am so incredibly happy that in the year since I started this, so many people of the old forums found their way over here and have participated.
Reuniting the community for the end of Homestuck was my main goal when I started this forum, but since then it has grown to become much more.
Not only did we gain so many new members who weren't on the old forums, but so many people have created new forum adventures, new projects and new creative works.
I just want to thank everyone for making this such a great and fun place, and for having stuck around for so long. Overall, you guys have been awesome.
In fact, I even want to say that I'm so happy about what this place has grown to be that it has become one of the things I'm most proud of in my life, and one of the things that means the most to me.
I still intend to lock up the forums (except for the creative works / fan projects / forum adventures that prefer to stick around) once the new forums finally arrive, to prevent a split forum community from emerging and for everyone to be able to unite in one official place, but until that moment comes we will continue to be around as we have been throughout the past year.
As always, if anything is bothering you about this place, be it members or something about the forum itself, please don't hesitate to contact us and give us your remarks/suggestions!
You guys rock.
See you around!
