Nepeta's land is Land Of Little Cubes And Tea (LOLCAT)
It's easy to miss seeing as I'm pretty sure it shows up a grand total of once before it blows up.

Gamzee's introduction text directly references the Insane Clown Posse, albeit in the loquacious troll terminology we know from their movies' titles.

Homestuck's logo (the one with the 'o' replaced by a spirograph) and it's tendency to depict Earth as monochrome are both references to the Mother series' logo.

Nice catch with the o replaced in both logos, that never occurred to me either! But I doubt Hussie making Earth monochrome is in any way related; if anything he was going for a Wizard of Oz type thing where you enter into a magical world and suddenly it's full of color.

OTIM: There were a total of 4 Trolls who were confirmed to have claimed the Ultimate Reward now: Karkat, Terezi, Kanaya and Tavros. These were also the first four Trolls to have been introduced to us in the comic! I hadn't realized that yet.
And another thing I realized is that the amount of A2 players who have claimed this Ultimate Reward is the same as the amount of B1 players and the amount of B2 players who have done the same, and even the same as the amount of named Carapacians from the B1 session who probably entered the new universe as well (WV, PM, Ms. Paint, and Jack).
And in these 4 groups of 4, in each group there are 2 boys and 2 girls, and in the case of the Carapacians it's also 2 Prospitians and 2 Dersites.

Decided to rewatch the last stretch of Homestuck in one go, starting a couple of pages before [S] Collide until the credits. Just to see how well it flows. Heh, the Zilly-flintlock pistols Jake is carrying are mirrored. Or at least, there’s a mirrored Z on his left hand pistol. At 5:15 in Collide, you can see Spades Slick’s hat, it must’ve fell off when Lord Noir knocked him offscreen. At 8:23 : Caliborn had his golden gun with him in Yaldabaoth’s room. There’s also an engraving of Yaldabaoth above the entrance door. At 10:14 : all the technicolor cracks shown here are in the colors of the B1 kids. Alternatively the colors of A1-A2-B1-B2, showing what’s being avenged here. At 15:40, Dave’s cape in silhouette looks like a set of wings. Deliberate reference to Dave spreading his wings and becoming a hero? At 2:23 in Act 7: as Alternate Calliope vanishes into the black hole, the last thing we see before the black hole emerges, is the space symbol. It’s not the one on her chest, but more a signifier that her last act is sealed. Since what she did counts as a highly advanced and specialized Spacey Thing. 7:13 : Oh right, Serenity really came with to Earth! I forgot. At 0:46 in the Credits: Riiiiiight, it might just be so that the kids DIDN’T use a display to home in on the dead A2 trolls to get their DNA. Look, the receptacles are still filled with their ectoslime (in the mixture used to spawn the A1 trolls/A2 ancestors)! Call that an OTIM - or at least, an Obvious Thing Of Which I Didn’t Realize The Implications. If there was no display to choose DNA targets from, that might mean PM and WV are literally the Adam and Eve (or Lilith) of the new carapace kingdom - presuming they accompanied them to the meteor. Maybe that is why Dave and Jade went to meet them? To invite them along? Okay sure, we didn’t see them at any point during the rest of the trip. Alternatively, they just used whatever carapace DNA was available on the meteor, inside the test tubes. That would mean the carapace kingdom is also partially populated by relatives of the Midnight Crew. 1:48 - 2:05 : in my original reaction in the Comic Discussion thread I forgot to mention how I first thought the kids ‘n trolls were standing on podia. More likely, they’re on top of a festive parade wagon, being shown around their kingdom! (Or on top of a parade wurm, as the case may be for the Troll Kingdom.) Except for Jake, Dirk and GCATavros of course. I gotta say, Collide-Act7-Credits makes for a very nice viewing experience. From the kids’ victory, over to their reward and celebratory ceremony and everything coming after that.

Went to look at the Wikipedia page for Noble gases, and found out that - Helium is used as a component of breathing gases, and to improve the breathing of asthma patients. And for superconducting magnets.
Neon is used in cryogenics. - Krypton is used in halogen lamps.
- Xenon is used in arc lamps that find application in film projectors.
[/ul]The last three bullets can be linked to the interests of the corresponding B2 kid - Dirk only in a wordplay way (science/Mutantkitten collection, Lil' Hal, movies). The first bullet can be linked to the Breeze, to healing, and to Gamzee.

[/quote]Yes, also, these are gases that don't react at all, meaning they react badly, which is an allusion to how all their relationships split up. Another thing to mention is Jake's planet, LOMAX, is an allusion to Bernie Lomax, from Weekend at Bernie's, who's played by Terry Kiser.

I've started identifying the fonts used in the Homestuck Credits for the captions of the different kingdoms, and I already struck gold. The Human Kingdom's caption is written in the Betty Noir font. ... Well that's not ominous at all! (Oh my brains, that's an offspring I definitely did not want to imagine.) I've updated the Wikia page for all fonts used in Homestuck accordingly.

Oh my god I can't believe I missed this. I've watched [S] Make her pay DOZENS of times in the past 6 years and yet... I never noticed that Terezi is never shown on LOPAH together with Karkat and Spades Slick. In fact, she's only with Karkat, on LOTAF. If you watch the flash on YouTube here, I thought the scene from 1:45 until 1:56 took place entirely on LOPAH. But only now I discovered that it's actually only 1:45 until 1:51 that takes place on LOPAH (with Karkat and Spades Slick)! 1:51 until 1:56 takes place on LOTAF (with Karkat and Terezi). It's such a smooth transition between the two scenes (with Karkat literally running from one frame to the other), that I never noticed that Karkat and Terezi's fight with the Ogre takes place in an entirely different location from Karkat and Spades Slick's fight against the Imps. In retrospect, this makes much more sense than how I originally thought this scene went (with Karkat, Terezi and Spades Slick all being on LOPAH). Because we already knew Karkat and Terezi were together on LOTAF at some point, and it's much more easy for Karkat to reach LOTAF (through his 2nd gate) than it is for Terezi to reach LOPAH (through a lot of gates). I just love how I can still keep discovering things like this after 6 years.

John plays his organ. John plays HIS ORGAN. It's a masturbation joke. While I see how that situation could be forced into being a double entendre, I fail to see what makes you think this was the intent, or how this situation is any more conductive to said joke than any other instance of someone playing an organ.

On this page, Jade describes the SBaHJ Christmas tree as "the prettiest tree i have ever seen." Jade's version of her island has no trees, the area immediately surrounding her house on her land has no trees, and the three with the piñata that acted as her entry item blindfolded her upon appearing. The tree she made could have very well been the only tree she's seen in person, and thus, by default, the prettiest.

Aren't those green splotches on her island trees?
. . . Granted, if you zoom in, they might still be big splotches, and thus less pretty than the kringlefucker.

The first time I played through it I didn't have headphones in, and on subsequent readthroughs I'd play it quickly or skip it altogether as it is a very inconsequential flash that I already have memorized.

Also, fun fact: It's one of the flashes where the song was replaced because the original was a Bill Bolin track. This is what it sounded like originally.
