(Apologies for the delay.)
Noticing the energy ball I check if there are any enemies likely to be hit by it behind me, if so I dodge at at the last moment, hoping to use it to my advantage. If not I simply get of it's way.
I ask Sailor for the Pyromancer's gloves, if I get them I pick up the Tank of Kerosene and douse the nearest wolf in it and try to ignite it. Otherwise I'll pick the Brass Knuckles and try to hit one of the Golems right in the center sigil on the chest
It's not easy - you're pretty sure that's a homing attack - but, with some smart positioning and quick reflexes, you manage to jump out of the way of the energy ball at the last second, and it runs directly into one of the Lesser Constructs, melting it. (+5 Grist for creativity)
You equip the Brass Knuckles and sprint across the room to one of the Crystal Golems, jumping up and aiming a blow for the chest - however, it manages to get an arm up in time to defend itself! 25 damage dealt. Its arm is now seriously damaged.
I get up and run for it, hopefully to get out of the way of the lightning. After I try to move out of harms way, I run behind the Alpha and Smash it with the Elder-English Mallet while it's distracted. After doing that, I grab the goose tape and stick the various shards of glass onto the front of the Elder-English-Dictionary, to make it extra painful when I swing this thing at things.
I also grab the Temporary Third Eye Tattoo, I might want to use this on something later.
You attempt to run away from the lightning wave; though you get far enough to avoid the more powerful center, you aren't quite fast enough to avoid it entirely. -10 HP. Then, while it's recovering from the attack, you attempt to run back toward the Alpha and smash it with your mallet again. However, it's more prepared for the attack this time! You get into a brief scuffle with the wolf (-5 HP), but alas, it is in vain; the wolf is already injured and exhausted, and you finally manage to put an end to it with a well-placed hammer blow. (+10 Grist for powerful enemy defeat)
You tape the glass shards to the head of your Elder-English Mallet, creating the Jagged Elder-English Mallet! It is more powerful now; however, the glass shards will probably break if the hammer is used to used to hit solid stone or armor.
I dodge the lightning like MC Hammer, and attempt to shatter the crystal golems with the Bowling Ball.
You attempt to dodge out of the way of the wave of lightning; however, even the incredible power of MC Hammer doesn't change the fact that it's a deadly wall of lightning. -35 HP!
You throw a bowling ball at one of the Crystal Golems. The Golem puts up a hand to block it; however, cracks still spiderweb up its arm. 15 damage dealt!
I equip myself with the flail, and grab a handful of Frooty Rings and stuff them in my mouth, hoping to induce a sugar high.
I make an attack towards the crystal at one of the corners with the flail, while also trying to dodge the Bolt of Energy from the guardians.
You grab a flail, stuff a handful of cheap cereal in your mouth (5 HP restored) and jump down into battle, fueled by a temporary sugar high! (You'll move slightly faster, and can take 3 actions for the duration of the sugar rush) You jump up to hit the crystal...but your blow hits one of the Lesser Divine Guardians protecting it instead, smashing it to pieces. You'll need to bash your way through the defending constructs, or find some way of attacking the higher, unshielded part of the crystal near the ceiling.
I hot glue a lot of glass shards to the tines of the BattleSpork, duck out of the battle to heal myself, and ask Sailor for enough knives to attach to the Spork's tines.
You glue the shards to the Battlespork, creating the Jagged BattleFork! You attempt to duck away from the lightning wave, but this is rather ineffectual because wall of lightning. -30 HP.
ScintillatingVigilante hunkers down and absorbs the Alpha Wolf's attack! -35 HP.
Sailor hunkers down and absorbs the Lesser Divine Construct's attack! -7 HP.
ENEMY ACTION: The wolves are disorganized and out of formation, trying to establish hierarchy after the loss of their leader. Two of them manage to figure out what happened and circle
Telaxius, preparing to strike.
The Crystal Golem that venchi hit staggers backwards, its arm seriously damaged; it sweeps its spear towards
venchi in an attempt to counterattack. The other Golem catches the thrown bowling ball and pitches it back towards
Con Air like a fastball.
Two panels in the ceiling that looked like ordinary stone suddenly retract and slide out of the way. Two unusual Constructs shaped like angels with spiky crystalline halos - Magi Constructs - drop from the ceiling, escorted by four Lesser Divine Constructs. They float near the ceiling of the room, seemingly preparing something. One pulses with red energy, while the other pulses green.
The three Greater Divine Constructs finish charging, merging together to form a Divine Mortar! The weapon fires an intensely powerful magical laser at the ground, tearing up stone and tile as it angles towards
obeast.
One of the Greater Divine Constructs, searching for a new target, locks onto
NothingisOkay, and fires a volley of lasers in their general direction! The other projects a barrier, protecting the Divine Mortar.

Next Wave in (3) TurnsALLIES: None. Seems you're not good at making friends.
ITEMS:Crossbow: A simple but powerful ranged weapon. It's practically useless without arrows, however, and ammo will be hard to find in this place.
Bottomless Quiver of Arrows: Well that's convenient.
Tank of Kerosene: A very flammable and inflammable liquid.
TERRAIN:
A circular worship-room scattered with fallen pillars, broken statues, shards of shattered glass and a few benches. There is an archway on the other side of the room blocked by a barrier, and a large balcony overlooking the whole room.
BESTIARY:
Crystal Golems:
Huge, slow, lumbering creatures, easily three times taller than a human, with massive club-like arms. They're made of hard, translucent blue crystal, and, unlike other, cruder golems, these ones seem expertly crafted, with intricate sigils on their chests. The heads of the spears they carry are made of the same crystal, and are very pointy and painful-looking. They seem to have no magical attributes, but they honestly don't need them. The hard crystal they're made of reflects magical and light-based attacks, and resists cutting weapons like swords and knives. A good solid blunt weapon ought to do the trick, though. And you may be able to fracture them, if you hit them at a weak point...
Divine Crystal:
A massive, oblong chunk of solid crystal hanging from the ceiling, its tip hanging just a few feet above the altar in the center of the room. Line upon line of tiny, intricate runes coat its surface, some of them glowing or flashing occasionally. You can barely make out a deep humming coming from it. It's the central coordinating intelligence for the room, and probably this whole area of the temple. It can do nothing physical on its own, but it will continue to summon more constructs to protect itself until it is destroyed or the threat (you) is neutralized. It's made of hard crystal that will be difficult to damage with a cutting weapon like a sword. A nice blunt weapon like a club or hammer should, though. And hitting the corners might increase the chance of a chip or fracture.
Current Objective: Get past the barrier and to the next room.
