>Katherin: So. Itiash is just a lizard steak in a cheap robe now. How does -that- make you feel? You knew him before, yeah? were you always enemies? or did you once call him friend?
>Katherin: Despite everything, be relived, Itaish is dead.
… You don’t know how you feel about him dying. He may have done nothing for you but try to kill you but that doesn’t mean he was purely evil. You wish that maybe you could have found a way to stop him without killing him. His death has most certainly given you much needed breath of fresh air and when you asked M’Iago to take his body away it felt like a weight had lifted off of your mind but he was still a person. He had a life, family, and friends… you don’t even know what you should be doing right now.
“Barbas?” You whisper. Your voice is barely audible above the crackle of the fire.
“Yes?” He responds.
“Itaish is dead. What happens now?” You ask.
“Ah, yes. He was the only vampire that managed to track your movement well. I’d say you needn’t worry about stumbling into any vampires that wish to kill you for Clavicus for a little while.”
“I meant… where do I go? You said that the person in the Imperial City isn’t real so what am I supposed to do next?”
“It is true that he isn’t real. That was a lure to bring you close to Clavicus’ shrine. As for where to go next… well that is up to you. You can’t go back home however. Not yet anyway. I suggest that you just continue toward the Imperial City and lie low there for a while. As for me, well, I need to return to Clavicus’ side. Lest he becomes suspicious of my absence. We are going to be out of touch for a little while. In case you haven’t figured it out yet that necklace you have is... ‘connecting’ us. So I wish for you to take it off and leave it next to you tonight.”
“I had a feeling it was.” You say as you look down at the piece of jewelry. “I take it you are going to come and get it while I’m sleeping?”
“I guess you could say that. Anyway, It’s been a pleasure. I’ve certainly dealt with worse. Hopefully when we next talk I’ll have some good news.”
“… Goodbye, then.” You take off your necklace and leave it beside you. You look back over to Ke’tiem. The slow rise and fall of his chest is the only sign of life coming from him. You reach over and put a hand on his forehead. He still feels cold.
You move your hand around his shoulder and pull him closer. You are not going to let hypothermia finish him off.
“Goodnight, Ke’tiem” You say then close your eyes. You pray that it doesn’t rain tonight.
>Be Ke'Tiem
You are now Ke’tiem. The sound of birds chirping slowly pull you toward consciousness. You have a faint ringing in your ears, an extremely metallic taste in all parts of your mouth, and your head rests on something soft. Are you in a bed? No. The ground is too hard to be a mattress.
>Katherin: End up with Ke'tiem resting his head on your lap.
You open your eyes. As you blink the blurriness from your vision you see a used fire pit along with the tent in front of you. Why aren’t you inside the tent? And where did this blanket come from?
The memories of last night come flooding back to you. Itaish attacking you, M’Iago tackling him off of you, and Katherin checking on you. You try to sit up but an extremely sharp pain in your abdomen stops you. Despite your best efforts you let out a yelp of pain.
>Ke'tiem: Don't worry about nothing man. you just chill.
You can’t just chill! You’re lying down here and Itaish could be attacking Katherin! You decide to try and call for her.
“... Katherin...” Your voice comes out barely audible and extremely coarse. That’s not going to work either. You move your hands into a position that allows you to attempt to push yourself up. You eventually manage to get yourself into a sitting position. You notice the large amount of dried blood on your forearm.
As you attempt to rub it off you look to your right and see Katherin.
It dawns on you that your head was resting directly on her… oooh.
A-at least you know she’s OK… But… where is Itaish? You look around and see no sign of him. Did she manage to chase him off? You reach your arm over to try and gently shake her awake.
Right before you rest your hand on her shoulder you hear Liz shout from inside the tent. You stop and look over. M’Iago stumbles out of the tent holding one cheek.
“It wasn’t on purpose!” He shouts back into the tent.
“It doesn't take Hermaeus Mora to know that’s a lie!” Liz shouts.
“Gah, owie.” M’Iago says, rubbing his cheek. He notices you’re awake.
“HE LIVES!”
You feel Katherin jolt awake. “Keep it down, M’Iago.” She says. “You might wake up Ke’tie--” She looks at you. “O-oh… goodmorning.”
