The construction drones have probably dismantled it by now and sent the pieces back to the recycling plant. The raw materials from your hive will eventually be used by a wiggler to build theirs. You've known about this process since grubhood, but it's still the place you grew up. The somber realization that you will never see your beach again sets in. Thankfully, your important possessions are safe! They were sent...somewhere... The lusus situation, on the other hand, is what you're actually concerned about. Trolls are culled regularly for failing to take care of their lusus; so straight up losing your GUARDIAN due to your own laziness will probably cost you dearly. Maybe if she didn't spend her whole life ASLEEP and OUT OF THE PICTURE you wouldn't be in this situation! Right? You should have looked for her... The drones MUST have precautions in place for something like this.

You turn around and look into the crowd, glancing from face to face and trying to put features to a memory. Nobody really catches your attention, they're just a bunch of rusties and slags. They aren't a particularly bloodthirsty looking bunch, low bloods always seem to be push overs... They look far more put off by your presence. |
