Apparently I've been pronouncing the word "matcha" wrong for, well, forever. I used to always say it like "matchta" with that extra T sound. Then the other day I was looking at some matcha product in the store with my boyfriend and heard him say it correctly and was like, "wait, what did you just say..."
I looked at it printed there on the package and realized that I had been living a lie. I still don't know how to feel, haha.
Sandwich cookies (the generic name for Oreos), are named that because they literally sandwich cream between two cookies. For some reason I always thought they were just intended to be eaten with sandwiches or something.
So it turns out the line in the song Winter Wonderland that goes "In the meadow we can build a snowman, and pretend that he is Parson Brown" refers to naming the snowman "Parson Brown." I always just assumed "parson brown" was a skintone.
I thought butterfly kisses were just light feathery kisses, not some strange eyelash flapping
EDIT: I just remembered how long it took me to realize how vacuum cleaners worked... For 20 years i thought all dust and stuff went THROUGH the fan, and every time i sucked up something big i'd cringe like oh god this time I'll break the fan for SURE
