What do you think the name of the upcoming flash will be?
I've gathered some of the most common guesses I've seen so far.
My guess would be (S) Ascend (to parallel (S) Descend), but I think (S) Engage could work too.

I'm not sure if I want something serious, like Strife or Sacrifice, something meta like Act 6: Close or Adventure: Conclude, or something silly like hit: Happen or S]hit: Transpire.

The problem with this is that it's almost certain to be something none of us predicted. After all, did anyone guess "Cascade" in advance?

I predict the same will be true for EOA6. There will be at least some completely unexpected plot development which will completely change the meaning of something we take for granted (just as Cascade took "we are going to blow up the Green Sun" and turned it on its head).
Don't underestimate AH. Ever.

I voted for Strife because it's close enough but I actually am going with [S]Everyone: Strife.
Edit: Hey guys if you put (noparse) but with brackets before your [S] it doesn't do the strikethrough line.

I'm personally thinking it will be something simple but significant and call-back-y... so something like [S] Strife for EOA6 and [S] Ascend for Act 7.

[S] Shit: Hapen :mspa:
I do like the sound of something simple and just one or two words, like Cascade and Game Over. Maybe Showdown or something? I think it could just as easily be 'EOA6' or the name of the act, however.
I don't even know, man. I'm just hype.

I saw someone suggest (S) Resolve a while back. I like the nice double meaning there. The plot is resolving, and everyone in the coming fight is resolute.

What if it's "[S] Make them pay"? I actually think that would be a really cool fit too.

I was hoping for [S] Exit at some point for symmetry with the common "Enter"s in early Acts. With things in their current state it seems unlikely for EoA6, but maybe it could still work for something in Act 7.

Transcend or Rapture. Strife doesn't sound as epic compared to the others and having it be A666 would just be plain lazy.
Edit: Eh what's with the strikethrough?!

I like Engage and Resolve. Make Them Pay wouldn't sound right without explicit focus on the cycle of revenge among the female trolls.
Speaking of which. Aradia's going to die Y/N?

Edit: Eh what's with the strikethrough?!That's because [s] causes a strikethrough on these forums, unfortunately. If you want to write [s], you've got to type [s]. (the reason that I'm actually capable of writing the above now is because I put ANOTHER "noparse" tag around it, hehe.)

[s] Transcend or [s] Rapture. [s] Strife doesn't sound as epic compared to the others and having it be [s] A666 would just be plain lazy. Now that I think about it, it seems really likely a future flash is going to be called [S] Rapture. I don't think it'll be this one coming up, though. But I could be wrong. I like Engage and Resolve. Make Them Pay wouldn't sound right without explicit focus on the cycle of revenge among the female trolls. Speaking of which. Aradia's going to die Y/N? N. She's very much alive and she intends to stay that way.

(the reason that I'm actually capable of writing the above now is because I put ANOTHER "noparse" tag around it, hehe.) I was going to make a "noparseception" joke, but quoting your post in full totally screws up the sequence of "noparse" tags. Heh.

I feel like it should have a "sc" somewhere in it, after big flashes like [S] Jack: Ascend, [S] Descend, and [S] Cascade, even though the pattern doesn't apply that often. I don't know if [S] Transcend seems appropriate, though. Maybe [S] Escalate?

Anyway, I really have no idea about how the flash will be named, apart from silly names likes [S] Fecal Matter: Hit Ventilation Device.
Let's see how Andrew can surprise us this time...
Ok, last moment thought: [S] Rapture could actually make some sense...

I doubt it'll be Rapture, personally - Hussie did say that the Rapture would be something different from the end of the comic, and that that'd just be a factor in it. It's more likely that it'll be Homestuck 2.0, honestly!
In terms of names... Well, Ascend would be thematically fitting, but I think it's not the best name for what we currently have set up - Flash names DO still have some meaning other than sounding cool. People entering in Enter, things falling in Descend, plot threads falling into place (cascading) in Cascade.
So, I'm guessing it'll be something to do with either the explosion coming after a buildup or just flat-out fighting!
My biggest guesses would be Collapse or Engage, though I could also see Escalate, honestly. I do think it'll have SOME sort of name though - it'd make the most sense.
Though, y'know, I COULD see Ascend being used for Act 7 or something of the sort - that'd definitely be fitting as the end of the story.

My plan is to wait for the EOA6 flash to come out, then pick the poll option that corresponds with its name and pretend that's what I picked all along.

I'd vote for something 'birth' related or touching on the concept of creation. Creating the universe, creating Lord English, creating the new troll species. Some fancy word for create.
