Hello. On mspfanventures, my adventure, Ghost Hunt, has exceeded over 200 pages. I believe it might be a good time for it to be moved out of the cradle. lol. Would that be alright?

So i'm trying to create a webcomic (not a fan adventure, necessarily) and, well, for whatever reason, my images won't load when inserted into the adventure. they come up as small error bubbles. I seem to be doing everything correctly when compared to other webcomics... can anyone help me out?

Is there an easier way to multi-quote on these forums? Yeah, you just hit the gear icon on the top right of the posts, pick "Select post", and then the purple "Reply" button

Whoops, sorry that I hadn't responded to this post in a while. I got my images to work, but now I've run into a different bug. When I add panels, It successfully adds them to my webcomic, but does not put the name-link on the panels page. what can I do about this?

Are you talking about the latest pages section, or do you mean the command input? Also, I probably should've merged this thread with the MSPFA mirror one, so I'm going to do that now

I seem to be having a problem with the CSS. The logo (The one that's meant to replace the little mspahead) and the candycorn logos aren't visible. I don't really know what the problem is, I would love some help if possible

I seem to be having a problem with the CSS. The logo (The one that's meant to replace the little mspahead) and the candycorn logos aren't visible. I don't really know what the problem is, I would love some help if possible I'm assuming you're trying to use a custom CSS for your adventure, and you either can't find the CSS you need to change, or you tried to change it and they just aren't showing up when you load the page. I recently had to figure out how to do this for the ACTx8 NEW CSS, and I did get it working, so here's what I used. They are, of course, just edited from the guide and templates made by (?) Redhounds. Sorry if I misunderstood your problem, but I hope this is helpful.
/*** Header Logo ***/
header { background: url('http://i.imgur.com/oeudB6w.gif'); margin: -5px; no-repeat; }
header #mspalogo { opacity: 0; } And for the candycorns;
/*** Mini Header Symbols ***/
.heart img { display: none; }
.heart { background: url('http://i.imgur.com/A7Ehjqh.gif') bottom center no-repeat; width: 11px; height: 21px; padding: 7px; }
In this case, just change the urls to wherever you've hosted your image. Also, make sure to set the 'width' and 'height' of the replacement heart image to the dimensions of your new asset. In my case it's 11 by 21, because I'm using caliborn's tooth.
It might also be a problem with where and how you're hosting the images, so I'm not sure. I'm not really an expert, so maybe somebody else can come in and give you better advice. Best of luck.

Hi there. I've got a question about implementing CSS in general as I've poured over the guides that MSPFA provides and I'm afraid I can't make heads or tails of it all. How DO you implement CSS code into a specific page? Thus far, the instructions I've received have told me to upload it to a google doc, change "https://drive.google.com/file/d/[insert string of numbers here]" to "https://googledrive.com/host/[insert string of numbers here]", then copypaste that link into the search bar on the Husk Comet site telling me how to do this and THEN copypaste the link into the "Link" box under "insert new page" on my adventure.
I've done this, but I don't seem to be getting a usable link from Husk Comet's search bar, or maybe I'm reading the guide wrong. Just pasting in the googledrive.com/host link doesn't work either. I'm using the link to the CSS code I got from the first page of this very thread for inserting large images onto MSPFA pages (if that's okay. If it's not, just let me know). Basically, I just want this panel to be the size I originally created it at, that being the size of the whole darn screen, or close to it. This is my first time trying to get fancy and do something with CSS, but I can't figure out how to /apply/ the code. Help?

Hi giloftime, again I'm not really staff here or very experienced, so I'm sorry if this isn't helpful. I tried to duplicate those instructions myself just to see what your problem might be, and couldn't actually get a useable 'host' link. It's likely the guide is just out of date on the matter of hosting css files with google drive. I double checked, and yeah, this feature is being discontinued. The good news is that dropbox still works just fine. You'll have to register, but it's a very useful service and totally free. Let me know if you need any help with that.

Thanks for the help, it means a lot. I followed the Dropbox version of the upload instructions. I uploaded the text file to Dropbox, got the sharelink, and modified it as the guide outlined. But nothing seems to be happening still when I add it as a link. At this point I'm pondering if it may have to do with Acamaeda's code? I know even less about CSS, but the max image width the code seems to allow is 950px, and my image is 2560px x 1540px. But that's about all I can hypothesize it is.

Make sure the file you're uploading is really a .css file-- it'll have the file extension in the link. Here's one I made by downloading acamaeda's code and rehosting it; dl.dropbox.com/s/o4jjmrir08e6pka/TestFinal.css?dl=0I tested it out, and yeah, Acamaeda's original code doesn't work. Here's what I changed; article.adventurepage { width: 940px !important; max-width: 940px !important; overflow-x: visible !important; resize: none !important; display: block; } I'm pretty sure I read something somewhere that doesn't recommend going over the 940px limit, and we should probably respect mspfa in that regard. If it is in fact true. But if you ever do want to change the value, just edit the numbers I provided above in the file I link in this post-- wherever it says 940px/950px. Hopefully this makes sense.

I have a question: why is the Adventure Info of this MSPFA blank? Also worth mentioning, I added it to my favorites before it was blanked, and it still says I favorited it, but it doesn't show up in my Favorite Adventures page

My code works exactly like it's supposed to. It emulates MSPA's style of using extra-large images. The light grey rectangle is supposed to be a constant width. Here's a test adventure that shows it working.
If you want to use images wider than 950px, you need to change .panel .panel { width: [new width]px; margin-left: [(650-new width)/2]px; }

How does one upload an image map? I've been trying to get an adventure map for my adventure but using google drive or dropbox doesn't work. Any way to even share image maps?

Hi, I have a few question about adventure customization. Are we allowed to change the adventure's favicon? If yes, can you explain how to do so? Is it possible to make split panels like this: www.mspaintadventures.com/ACT6ACT5ACT1x2COMBO.php?s=6&p=007784 ? And finally, can I add another section of my own (like the built-in suggestion, adventure info, and favorite sections) in the "adventure info" section? I hope I'm not being annoying with all these questions! Thanks in advance.

Can you re-encradle my FA, "Omnistuck"? For some reason it got un-encradled despite the fact it only has 6 pages right now :L.
