Hello! And welcome to my new adventure! Yes, I might continue Pokepalypse, but only if the data from the old forums are recovered, because, to be quite frank, I forgot how exactly the descriptions and dialogue went. (I still have the images, though.)
Anyways, much like Pokepalypse (which shares the same art style as Draconic Inferno), your choices can affect the story, but this time, you have a bit more say in how your character is created. Yeah, the choices are finite, but at least you don't have to be stuck to the default appearance and gender.
Also, as you may guess, yes, this adventure involves dragons! Well, not in the way you think, anyways. There seems to be no humans, and the technology and caste system work much like Medieval Europe.
So, with the hopes that the BB codes will work the same way here as at the old site, let's-a go! A long time ago, at the beginning of time, there was an egg. How it got there, no dragon knows. From the egg sprung the three Original Dragons. The first to come out was Sola, the god of the sun. The second was Lun, the goddess of the moon. The last to come out of the egg was Terros, the god of the earth. Eventually, on the earth, life began. Terros took particular interest in the dragons, and disguised himself as a mortal to interact with them, much to the chagrin of his elder siblings. The earth god eventually appointed himself as the ruler of the dragons, and fell in love with a mortal dragon, who eventually became the queen. In disgust, Sola and Lun withdrew the sun and moon away from the earth. Without the sun, food became scarce, and without the moon, the earth's orbit was disrupted. Desperate, Terros pleaded with his brother and sister to bring back the two celestial bodies. The two decided to do so, but only on one condition: Terros will only be able to reign a hundred years, and then must slumber in the core of the earth until one of his descendants awakens him. He accepted the deal. And Terros lead a productive reign, until he was casted by the other two Original Dragons to the center of the earth to slumber until the time comes for him to wake up. But enough backstory! Let's get to making our main character! Now, there are other subspecies of dragons and thus different body structures, but for the sake of the story, I'm using this species and body type. I promise you get to decide everything else, though! Anyways, what will be the gender of our hero?

Our hero will be male! Now then, what will his colors be? We will be using three different colors for the main body, eyes (and optionally pupil if you don't like the default black), and horns.

Does not appear to be a dratini. Am disappointed.
Assuming this is correct, > Name: Dratini If not, disregard. We can do better and/or cooler than that.

Using the impartial judge known as a randomizer, the colors specified from the three posts had been used! Body: Turquoise Horns: Pink Eyes: Yellow (with black pupils) The author decided to use her own design to make things simpler, but you can make changes if you want (note: you can make the hero's wings more bird-like). If your sastified, simply put the command to continue (this will happen with two votes, along with any specified changes to the shape/location of the horns and spikes and the wing-type).

(Because of the need to keep this going, I'm throwing the two-vote thing out of the window.) Well, the hero is a quetzalcoatl, which don't have legs. However, he does have an extra pair of wings, albeit deformed and completely useless. Now, with no further ado, let's begin the adventure! A young dragon has risen from his poorly drawn bed-nest nest on a clear morning. It turns out that it is only not his eighteenth year on the human scale, but it also is the day where dragons his day have their first metaphorical step into adulthood. But first things first, what is his name?

Your name is Trodgor, the fourth male on your mother's side of the family to be named so. But it is rather troublesome to always say "Trodgor the Fourth", so you preferred to be just called Trodgor. Judging by the position of the sun outside and how the shrine bells haven't ringed for the upcoming ceremony, you have a few hours to kill. What will you do?

> Look out of the window. It's a beautiful day outside. Across the paved path, you can see the dragonlings playing as their mother watches. > Do whatever male teenage dragons do when they're alone. That was too vague to follow, so you do what you normally do on any other morning: Greet your father. Despite how he looks, this red drake is really your father. The reason why you weren't a drake as well was because your mother was a quetzalcoatl, and something decided that you should be one too. Trogdor: Hey. Qiaz: Trogdor, my son. How are you? Trogdor: I'm just a tiny bit nervous, but I'm okay, I guess. Qiaz: Ah, yes. The ceremony is today, and you will be away for three months with either the royal army or this kingdom's adventurers' guild. Qiaz: You know.... Qiaz: I remember when you were just barely able to slither, and you would scoot yourself forwards using your wings. Trogdor: Dad, no. Qiaz: You would get into all sorts of places, and it would sometimes take a bit of time to find you. Trogdor: Stop! Qiaz: One time, we found you just sitting there in the bookshelf, and you were covered in paper. Trogdor: (Internal screaming) Qiaz: But you've come so far from that dragonling of long ago. You're almost an adult. Qiaz: If your mother was here, she would be so proud of you.
The mention of your mother made both of you saddened. She was the only one who believed you could make it. Others assumed you wouldn't survive for long, as you were highly small for a quetzalcoatl and you had the extra pair of deformed wings. Your mother never got to see you grow up, as she died mysteriously shortly after you had hatched.

It's an anvil and a hammer. Your dad came from a long line of blacksmith drakes, and built armor and claw gauntlets/shoes for adventurers, the royal army, and even a few of the kings. Despite all of that, they're still middle-class, though they should be wealthy. But you guess you shouldn't complain. For the longest time, you wanted to try being a blacksmith, but your father wouldn't let you. You had telekinesis like almost all quatzalcoatls, and are actually the best in your peer group. And all it took was breathing fire at the metal and hammering it into shape. Except, as you found out last year when you were finally allowed to give it a shot, it's a bit more too that. You have to be careful not to hammer too, or it will be more thin and thus more brittle, but in your cautiousness not to make the metal fragile due to overhammering, it either comes out as too thick or in the wrong shape.

You use your telekinesis to lift up the hammer. That was a complete waste of time, but that's kind of your goal here.

> Do wing workouts. What are workouts? > Polish horns. Fortunately, you do know what polishing is. You excuse yourself and go into your room. You spend so much time making your horns (spikes as well) shiny that now you have thirty minutes left give or take, judging by the sun's position. > Exit home. You then let your father you're going out for a bit. Admittedly, you're more than a little nervous---you're flat-out scared. What if you mess something up? You'll be right in front of the king for the ceremony. If you mess up, you'll be an eternal embarrassment. You imagine that won't happen if you mind your manners, but that doesn't seem to help your stress. Thankfully, the fresh air and release of energy manages to calm you down somewhat, so you're not completely afraid anymore.
