"Don't think of it as a forever end, think of it as the most extreme pause yet"
THAT DOESN'T HELP
An EXTREME pause would mean more content, though. I don't know if I could take such suspense.
Well, if one counts Hiveswap as part of the Homestuck story proper (Even if it isn't part of the MSPA site), then would the gap between the End of Homestuck and the release of Hiveswap technically count as such an addition of content?
Yeah, I'm... trying not to think too hard about it, if I'm being honest. @__@ It's almost a good thing that tuesdays are when I have to work for like 16 hours, because at least I'm going to stay mostly distracted... I just get anxious and jittery when I think about how much we're going to see and learn at some point in the next 12-36 hours. After 5 years (for me) of speculation and hiatuses and eagerly wanting to see what happens next, we're almost at the point where there can be no more speculation over what happens in Homestuck, assuming most of the loose threads get tied up or are given self-contained paradoxical origins. Where's that overexcited weasel gif when you need it?
As for Extremepauses post-Homestuck... at least we know we have Hiveswap to look forward to, an entirely new story to speculate over, and entirely new characters to grow attached to.

researcherwisemon has a point. We still have HS-related stuff coming down the pipeline (in addition to Homestuck 2.0 w/ Dante Basco. Hopefully, we will get more info on that thing by the time the comic is done.)
I think I am as ready as I will ever be for the comic's end. It is sure to be spectacular.
All I want is a confirmation that Hussie will be working in another webcomic when Homestuck is done.
Not a "see you again in Hiveswap, from now on you'll only hear of me once a year".
I would personally really love for Hussie to do some comics that are completely unrelated to the Homestuck universe or MSPA format--obviously I love all MSPA things, but I also liked a lot of the stuff he made prior to MSPA (And It Don't Stop, Team Special Olympics, Whistles, etc) so it'd be cool to see him try and stretch his creative muscles a bit after being mired in the same comic world for seven years. We're already going to get plenty of Homestuck-related content through Hiveswap to state people's appetites for it (and maaaaaybe Paradox Space if that comes back? Volume 2 has some original stories at least), so I'll personally be perfectly content if he ignores the Homestuck universe entirely for his future projects. That said, if the Homestuck 2.0 rumors hold any weight, who knows what's in the works.
Of course, I also couldn't blame him if he decided to take a break from creating stuff for a little while Hopefully not TOO long of a break though.
'nyways, what do you guys think, EOA6 will have new music, or use old songs? I'm expecting a Cascade kinda deal: New song made from old ones + some new bits.
Any hopes for any particular song?
Yeah, I'm expecting something like Cascade too.
For any particular songs, I think Noirscape and Dogfight are two of the most likely ones (for the LOTAK and Prospit fights respectively). The so far unused part of A Taste For Adventure might work for LOMAX (alternatively: Expedition or Encore). And for the Lord English fight, I think Rex Duodecim Angelus or the second part of Eternity Served Cold would be awesome. The Lordling for the fight between Caliborn and Yaldabaoth would be badass.
I've got no clue for the Derse fight. A remix of Fuchsia Ruler is something me and plainWonder have speculated about.
i have a bottle of an orange soda on the ready so i can take on EoHS any time
seriously though, i am really want to know when update will hit. Because i don't like the perspectives of camping my laptop for 24 hours straight
Yeahhhh. I'm not really sure what to expect--I think part of Cascade's crashing problems came from everyone spamming the website at midnight, and lately the updates seem to be coming out at intentionally random times within a certain range... Hussie did say a while back that switching to afternoon updates was intended to keep people in the states from having to stay up late expecting an update.
IF it drops at midnight Hussie time, it'll be a couple of hours before I get off of work--so I'd at least be up to watch it, but MAN is that bound to fuck up my sleep schedule, because I'm sure I'm going to be an emotional wreck desperate to stay up and talk about it with people.
If it drops in the middle of the day tomorrow, I guess that's it for my productivity

So, for those of you who haven't seen the IDE thread recently, apparently one of the Homestuck composer has revealed that four all new songs are going to be the music for the upcoming flash, written by previous Homestuck composers, whoever they happen to be. (I'm guess Plaz, and Toby are gonna be within that, most likely. But maybe not, we will see.) Not only is this pretty exciting, but also may be hints at a final release of the long-anticipated Homestuck Volume 10. Also, having four new music tracks probably means we are getting something closer to Cascade than I thought, though we could still get some surprises alongside all that stuff in regards to how the Flash is set up.
EDIT: previously, made it sound like the songs were actually revealed themselves, rather than just news about them.
