So I was talking to one of my friends about crying because our schools band director won't be coming back next school year. Everybody was crying except him, which is what got the conversation started at lunch. That's when I realized I haven't cried many times in my 17 years of life.
So, here's a thread to talk about times that you've cried, whether it be at something serious, something silly, or what have you. Only share what you want to. I'll start us off.
The last time that I cried was at the end of The Last Of Us about a year and a half ago. I won't spoil anything, but those of you that have played it should know why.

Dude I cry every single goddamn day. I started tearing up yesterday watching that episode of Steven Universe where he changes his fingers to cat fingers
"DAAAAAADDDDD, PLS HEEEEEEEELLLLLPPPPPP" "AAAAAAAAAAgGAHGGHAHGHH"
Shit, my eyes are watering right now just thinking about it

I don't cry often. What is there to cry about, especially since things are going good in my life right now?
I do cry for good reasons though. The previous reasons I did cry, I do not wish to reveal.

I was driving home from the dentist a couple days ago, when the song Little Talks by Of Monsters and Men came on. Now normally, I can enjoy this song without even thinking about it. But, some dummy on Tumblr had to point out how the song relates to certain anime characters I'm attached to, so I can no longer listen to it without thinking about them.
Anyway, I got emotional and started crying, like HARD. It was bad. And embarrassing, even though I was by myself, because like who cries over that song? And for those reasons? What am I? Let's just say I hope no one passing by noticed me, because I probably looked like I was coming home after being dumped or some nonsense, lol. But nope, just crying over anime characters. What else is new.

I only cry after I read of mice and men. And when this Youtuber starts roasting TV shows and cartoon characters. I wish he'd roast homestuck. Because you know I would .

I almost never cry. I've teared up several times recently, like when Robin Williams died, at the end of Inside Out, and when Satoru Iwata died, but I've only full-on cried twice in the past two or three years, one time because of a bad breakup ( ?? was it actually a relationship? ) and another time because of being really empathy-upset for someone else's horrible life circumstances. I have a stupidly high level of empathy a lot of times, but it rarely ever results in crying. Not sure if it's because I'm bottling up my emotions, or if crying just isn't how I express stuff. I hope it's the latter.

It's odd, I feel like I tear up more easily than I used to; maybe I'm just more emotionally mature? I still almost never cry over real life stuff, though, but that's largely due to lack of any reason to. A particularly well done scene in fiction, though...

It's rare that I full-on cry, as opposed to just having my eyes water a little bit... but when I do it's usually:
-A wedding -An especially touching scene in fiction -Some funerals (just depends on how close I was to the person and how eloquently people talk about them during the eulogy) -Periods of EXTREME stress
The last time I full-on cried was prooooobably a funeral I went to a couple of weeks ago for one of my friends (who was like a second mom to me growing up) when her kids (a couple of my best friends) were giving her eulogy and kept breaking up during it. Other people crying tends to impact my own emotional state...

It's weird, I don't usually cry at real life stuff, even when there's a lot of reason to. Even funerals tend to get me misty-eyed at best. Guess I'm just closed off? :/
I have only three instances of full-on crying in recent memory: a one-time breakdown due to some built-up stress and depression I hadn't been dealing with, the end of Inside Out, and the first 15 minutes of Up. (Pixar seriously knows how to pull those heartstrings, damn.)

Those guys design their films to mess you up.

I cry from movies/TV shows like all the time haha. And you know those lyricstuck arts? oh boy Certain songs can make me super emotional too, enough to tear up or even shed some tears, if I feel sentimental enough. I, as well, dont cry that much from real-life events, I get more shell-shocked and numb, but it's certainly happened. when it does it's exclusively from sadness. maybe something like a extremely happy singular event just hasnt happened yet though :v
Not really connected, but I always cry when I laugh Oh and I guess I tear up when I'm super angry, which pretty much never happens though, or extremely embarrassed or someone is the least stern with me oh god yeah... My tear ducts need to chill

Last time I cried was from watching the animated clip to a Muse song; you know, those from a Japanese artist that when combined with the music, get really eye-drenching. I'm an easy-crier because I usually bottle up and repress my feelings, so they overflow every time. That makes sense, I guess.

I cry a lot more than I'd like to. I get easily upset when things go wrong, and because I have sensitive ears, I almost always cry when I get shouted at. I keep trying not to cry but I can't keep it in for too long, and I can't go for too long without crying. Urgh, I really wish I could do something about it. I want to hide my feelings, I really do, but the crying always gives it away.

Is crying over music weird? Because dramatic scenes in movies or whatever don't really get my tears rolling if they don't have the "right" kind of music, if that makes sense. Also I cry over sad musicbox tunes all the time like a weenie.

I haven't cried once since I was 10 or so (I'm 18 now). I cry internally fairly often, but nothing physically happens. I don't think I'm capable of it anymore.

I cried a bunch after watching some of the earliy Boku no Hero Academia episodes. But yeah, like what a lot of people are saying, mostly at fictional or otherwise unimportant things.
