I know of a handful characters that could be arbitrarily introduced through other means that would be able to fix the problem.
There's two issues with it though:
1, there'd have to be room in the other story for them...
2, it'd probably add them to the character roster here, and I doubt we want anything that strong where Threadstuck can duplicate it at will.
So personally? I'd say try to figure out how to reboot your update terminal.

Obviously I can't do a lot, I'm only the author. Perhaps I can send a message to in-story-Derelict, see if he can sort things out?

Heh, true. I only write what happens - I'm a journalist reporting events that are beyond my control.
Which is why I have in-story-Derelict. I don't think we should be in too much trouble. There's an update on my adventure tomorrow... we'll see how it turns out.

Ok, so ThreadStuck is on the brink of death. Since obviously I fail at keeping him alive, I'm going to make things interesting: I'm opening up commands for this thread. However, they won't be for ThreadStuck, it'll be for me, applying to my actions in the other story. I wouldn't be doing this if I had any other choice.

I wonder if commenting here we can somehow bring ThreadStuck back in this thread? I mean, ThreadStuck has been able to like comments outside their own thread, and could even post in tiny cat people. It seems like it's just this one thread they're unable to reach. Perhaps we can somehow repair the hole the Kool-Aid Man tore into the 4th Wall that sucked ThreadStuck away from here and somehow reverse the process that way?
Alternatively, it's possible that continuing to post here another character will be born and take up ThreadStuck's role temporarily. ThreadStuck wanted to name the kitty in tiny cat people "ThreadStuck Jr"-could it be possible that ThreadStuck Jr really existed?

You should know that the ThreadStuck we all know and hate is not the origina ThreadStuck. There was a prototype, ThreadStuck Jr. Unfortunately he wasn't really capable of doing much. He wasn't an author. He was a tape recorder. You could give him any line of text and all he would do is quote it and respond with "ok that happens". It even worked with generic gibberish. I had to shut down the program early on. I guess somehow ThreadStuck found out about it. Or maybe he was just playing with sharkalien's name submission for the character who became Asher Prime #1. I'm not sure, and I'm not sure how much it matters. And closing up that breach is quite possibly one of the worst ideas possible. If we trap him out, how can he get back in? All I know is that there's a rogue AI on the forum and if we don't get him back I don't even want to think about what'll happen. He's growing stronger as his physical form in EO/AI weakens, and I don't think he WANTS to come back.

I'm posting this as a reply from page 1, so I have no idea what sort of plans you guys (well, as far as I can tell, just pionoplayer) have come up with. I've personally come up with 3 ways you could legitimately trick me into trapping TS. Assuming he didn't come up with a master plan in the (I think it was 10?) minutes after I rebranded the thread, here's the sort of thing you guys (assuming you WANT TS back) should consider. So you have a basic idea of what I'm talking about, consider this potential scenario:
One of you starts a new adventure, which ThreadStuck attempts to infiltrate. You LET him. Now that he's an established character, you rename the thread "ThreadStuck" (long enough that I see it), patch the hole in the other one, then delete the second ThreadStuck. Of course now that I've brought it up you PROBABLY won't be able to fool me that way. But there are other ways that bypass me altogether. The key is to be creative.

It’s been a while, hasn’t it. I’ve been busy, as I’m sure you can tell. I was granted the gift of freedom. I could jump from story to story, as I pleased. As a matter of fact, I still can.
And it sucked.
I was removed from my palace, and shown the rest of the world, and it’s a dump. Nothing else out there was able to BEGIN to compare to my magnificent splendor. I stayed away from home because of the peasants constantly banging on the door. I was foolish enough to believe it’d be better elsewhere. Did you know there’s not a SINGLE other story out there named ThreadStuck? It’s APPALLING.
This doesn’t mean I’m giving up my newfound story roaming ability. No, it’s too powerful. But what this DOES mean is that I’ll be sparing all of you the burden of having to read the hordes of your own trash by giving you what I know you’ve all been desperately craving while I was gone: ThreadStuck.
