I already typed a whole post on R\Homestuck, so I suppose I might as well link it. From there, you can check out the script for the first episode.
Worldbent is no ordinary Homestuck fan adventure. Indeed, it's not a fan adventure at all. I was highly inspired by Homestuck's rich lore, colourful characters, and deep plot to put something into motion that I've always wanted to do. I've always had this story in my head, and I just never knew how to share it....
Should I use paper? Cameras? simple text?
Well, after Homestuck, the idea occurred to me to use the webcomic format.... And, then, this happened.
Do know that I don't plan on "ripping off" Homestuck. I've got my own story I want to tell, and will tell it from beginning to end how I, and to an extent the other members of Team Anchora (Worldbent's Dev Team) want it to be.
That may sound petulant, or touchy, or whatever, but that's how I want it to be.
Oh, and also, I do plan on adding some community interaction, but not as much as Homestuck had. In my opinion, Homestuck had far too much interaction early on, and far too little later on. I want to hit somewhere in the middle,
by keeping the main plot under my direct control, but allowing fans to dictate the course of events through Worldbent's subplots. Do you want a pair of characters to bond, or become love interests? Well, as long as a sizeable portion of the community is behind you, you've got it!.... Though this may spell trouble when one of them dies.
As a final note, let me add this: As this is simply inspired by Homestuck, and not a fan project, I can make multiple changes to things that I didn't quite like from Homestuck itself. for instance, death is rather meaningless in Homestuck. I've decided that in order to raise the stakes, character death is permanent in Worldbent. And, believe me, the main cast will NOT make it out all fine and peachy like they did in the end of HS. Nobody is safe, not even the loveable, friendly space whale to be introduced in episode 5...
