Yeah, I know this may seem just too much a personal issue, so of course feel free to not answer if you don't want to.
But I've always been wondering about this, because the Homestuck fandom seems to include a lot of gay/bi people... probably because the story itself just does what anyone with a working mind should IMHO do: not care at all if a guy or a girl likes a guy or a girl.
Anyway, just for fun and without any judgement intended: are you straight, bisexual or gay?
For the records, I'm a straight guy.

I like to call myself gay all the time but I'm actually bisexual, it's just that gay is a better word

I'm asexual, something I only realised last year thanks to seeing it talked about on a certain website, which would have saved me a LOT of trouble if I knew sooner. I still like boys, but only romantically, maybe not even that anymore after what happened when I had a boyfriend. What I'm trying to say is, I find some boys attractive, but not in a sexual way. It's like when you look at a piece of clothing that you think looks great but you'd never wear it yourself.

I consider myself to be "straight but who knows" but I'm OK calling myself straight. It's just that I'd rather not go on a super self discovery journey if it turns out there's a dude I'm incredibly sexually attracted to.

Demisexual (only sexually attracted to people I'm emotionally and/or romantically attracted to). And generally only romantically attracted to people who are female or nonbinary.

I'm something. It's not that I don't know, I just don't want to bother. I will, to put it bluntly, fuck that I particularly want to fuck. It just that the particular things I want to fuck changes every now and then So I just stopped caring long ago. Most people call me 'some weird combination of hetero and bi'

Aromantic-asexual. Which is to say that it has never come up and that's how I like it.

I'm bi. And as silly as it sounds this is the first time I've ever declared that publically anywhere.

Aromantic Heterosexual here.
(Also, why isn't asexual on the poll? Not that I need it myself, but it should be there.)

(Also, why isn't asexual on the poll? Not that I need it myself, but it should be there.) I honestly didn't think of it as an option. My bad.
However, it seems there's no way to edit a poll...

My literature teacher said it's needed to taste the two sides to be completely sure of your sexual opinion. While I haven't done that yet and expect to not do that, I consider myself straight.
Also, I think there should be asexual and pansexual options in the poll. I don't exactly understand the conepts, though

Straight.
Sometimes I wonder if I'm heteromantic asexual but I think it's more because of depression so I'm waiting for my personal issues to be solved before I come to conclusion

I didn't think it really attracted that community until recently, since the tumblr fandom seems different now than what it was a few years ago (and the fandom seems to be more alive on tumblr and it's dead basically everywhere else except maybe reddit). Although I could be wrong. The fandom seemed more like yaoi fans before the gigapause, and the fandom were more interested in the trolls than the kids 6 years ago apparently.
Also any form of fiction that has characters that are aren't straight always attract a large lgbtq following. Like Undertale and Steven Universe for instance. The tumblr side of these sort of fandoms are always scary though unfortunately.

It certainly tends to freak out about everything, is obviously going through a hormonal phase and is... uh... easily offended and sometimes weird, but it could be worse. Take anything, make it super meta or/and make the characters relatable to tumblr's audience (teenagers, going through insecurities in their life, other things. also racial diversity and body type diversity since they like that) and you get yourself something super popular.

Haven't we always been more interested in the trolls? people have a habit of being interested in alien races. because it's cool and new and interesting. i personally would hate the troll race, but it allows for fun stuff with quirks and hemospectrum memes so i don't right now
