I got Zootopia. I've already watched it twice today. I adore it. Very glad I avoided spoilering myself on most of the details. Reading about the chaotic development (Just a little over a year before it came out, they revamped the whole thing from following Nick to being focused on Judy and removed a couple major plot elements, like having all the predators wear shock collars) I can really appreciate how much backstory and worldbuilding went into the city and it most definitely shows. Its so pretty. SO PRETTY. And I'm going to have Try Anything stuck in my head for at least a week. I just watched Zootopia a few days ago at the movie theater. It was the best movie I've seen in a long time. Actually, I just don't like most movies. But this one was really good. I made my friend watch it yesterday and she started crying. So...is anyone here watching...Jojo's Bizarre Adventure? I still haven't looked this up, so every time I hear someone talk about it I think they're referring to Jojo the Clown from Playhouse Disney

I think I'm on episode 40 of Steven Universe. I really don't like Pearl. She has this whole habit of thinking she's better than everyone and just generally condescending and thinking she's more right than everyone around her. No wonder Amethyst likes pissing her off. But I like Garnet, the least extreme and most moderate one of the group.

Hey does anyone watch Don't Hug Me I'm Scared, cuz they jusT RELEASED EPISODE #6 Just watched it. It seems like the popular theories were essentially right, but at the same time this episode introduced more questions than answers. I wonder if there's really nothing left after this...we're on a Homestuck-esque cliffhanger here.

I'm calling dibs on first Dhmis fanfiction on AO3 following new episode release. (i've done that since ep 3.)
Theories everywhere. Everyone's going nuts. And I like it.

Wait, is Don't Hug Me I'm Scared the video with the puppets talking about creativity or whatever?
I've seen one of those before but didn't know it was like an episodic thing with fan theories and whatnot. I just thought it was some bizarre, trippy youtube video that didn't really have a purpose lol.

I just thought it was some bizarre, trippy youtube video that didn't really have a purpose lol. it was for a long time but then they had a kickstarter to release more episodes. its cool! i don't think its as serialized as other people make it out to be, its just a series of fun / creepy videos that have a vague overarching plot, with lots of little details that deserve a rewatch to get. i feel like every ep stands on its own super well, but all together they combine to get something even better. i thought the ending of 6 was pretty obvious. since everything previous happened on june 19, when the red guy pulled the plug it finally could stop and went to june 20, to start again anew but slightly different. i don't think we need another

It's all a parody of kids' shows, that are made to control people's minds and ways of thinking, and about how far messages such as "be creative" and "love each other" can be corrupted. There are lots of theories about it, especially now the last episode has been released. It's on the same level as "Salad Fingers" in terms of WTF and creepiness. And yeah, there is a side of Tumblr that humanizes the item-characters and ship them together in some kind of murder/love relationship. Nobody ever knew why.

As much as I love creepy stuff, Salad Fingers is too much for me

Salad Fingers was creepy as fuck because it came off as entirely genuine.

As much as I love creepy stuff, Salad Fingers is too much for me That's interesting, since Saladfingers is my benchmark for when things start to get actually creepy.

My favorite theory regarding DHMIS is that each episode is a slam on the potential damage the media can inflict upon the people, with Yellow Guy representing the youth, Red guy representing young adulthood, and the Duck representing older folks. The negative effect that these media experiences had on them traumatized Yellow Guy, made Red Guy unable to properly fit in with adult society, and for all we know killed the Duck.

I love me some Regular Show. Most of the explosions are Beavis and Butthead worthy of approval.

Nope. Nope. That's one of the more horrifying things I've seen in a while. I'll take Salad Fingers over that lol. Honestly, I think " MEOW" is the most disturbing thing Cyriak has put out so far. The rest of his work kinda pales in comparison in terms of... I dunno, body horror My favorite theory regarding DHMIS is that each episode is a slam on the potential damage the media can inflict upon the people, with Yellow Guy representing the youth, Red guy representing young adulthood, and the Duck representing older folks. I wonder if Yellow Guy eating Green Duck is a metaphor for something I love me some Regular Show. Most of the explosions are Beavis and Butthead worthy of approval. I've never seen Regular Show. What makes it so appealing?

What makes it so appealing? it's pretty relatable for anyone close to their twenties or in it, and they're slackers, probably 420 blaze it everyday, likely play videos games like math, and for People who Act Normal In Crazy-ass Situations (P.A.N.I.C.S). Generally watch it if you like modern life with some random supernatural shit added in every episode

But that other thing...ugh nightmarish abomination lol.

Heh, it's strange how I find flesh monsters funny, but dislike gore
Well, not really, since gore is very much real and mutant CGI monsters aren't

I'm kind of weird in the fact that I find the more "realistic" body horror to be fascinating but the lower quality and campier it is (such as someone behind the camera literally throwing a bucket of red liquid around) the queasier it makes me.

That's interesting, haha. Yeah I'm the opposite. If it's super fake and/or animated it's whatever for me. Like I don't really like seeing it, but it doesn't affect me in any way. But then there's stuff like this episode of Orphan Black I was watching today when Alison and Donny dug up Dr. Leeky's rotted corpse and were getting that thing out of his cheek that had me turning away from the screen and making "blegh" noises.

I've counted several things that have ended this year that were apart of some sort of fandom The Mayans were off by four years That would also explain the sheer number of crazy news stories that have been popping up in the past few months.
