Greetings From Earth C: Post-canon content discussion!

They're looking up the old meteor! Oooh, are Kanaya and Rose perhaps tracking down all their stuff?

I hope they're still in good condition. But those chests on the meteor might count as game abstractions, so they might just preserve everything as if it's a stasis capsule.

Say, the meteor is apparently in a forest in the middle of the grassy plains.
No sign of a volcano, which I was kind of theorizing would be there, since the meteor's Calliope's future home, and even though her session's special, Space players have always had Forges.
I always figured the meteor landed on the site where B2 Hellmurder Island used to be.

It bugs me that this is going up on Snapchat. Even excluding the fact that I have no desire to get the app, nor any smartphone to put it on anyway, Snapchat is intended for communications where there's no need to save what's being sent. For content like what's being produced, it's something that should be saved in some sort of archive, and while there are ways for people to save the images as Holly has been doing, they won't be saved in any sort of official location.

If the snapshots come out every hour, will Andrew be posting 25 in total or something for 10/25?

The previous 3 snaps focused on Can Town. Perhaps now we'll have 2 more focusing on the people at the meteor here?

I guess that some time after arriving in their new universe, Jade, Jake and Dave split up and went to WV and PM in Can Town, while John, Roxy, Rose and Kanaya went to find the meteor!

Now the question is where Karkat, Dirk, Calliope, Jane and Dad went!

I just have to ask.... Is there not a single online medium that Hussie has not exploited for Homestuck yet? XD

This snapchat stuff seems to be the "October content" that Hussie mentioned semi-recently, but probably not the long sought for "Epilogue." That said, it does seem to fill in some of the blanks between the 'kids entering the universe' and the 'everyone is happy under the sun' parts of Act 7.

FYI: latest pic is up. Finally, we get to see Jane. XD  I guess we're filling in the character checklist slowly but surely. I wonder what they'll find in the meteor?

Hmm... I notice a SBURB logo on that building they're headed towards, a very faded one. I wonder which meteor it is, though?

So what i'm understanding is that caliborn is from a timeline where the new universe was not created. i guess that makes sense considering the meteor and earth were taken with them when they won the game.

With memento mentioning it in the last thread, he brings up a good point that these snaps have already confirmed some stuff that was maybe up in the air before, like that sequence in Act 7 with universe C wasn't (just) a hypothetical scenario. And the god tier thing.

And it sort of surprises me who we haven't seen yet. Up until the most recent snap (already outdated I've been writing this for a while), we hadn't even seen Jane. We still haven't seen Dad or Terezi yet, and I don't know who else I'm forgetting. (Thought of Calliope, who's also been seen now)

Also, it's sort of interesting the logo reads Earth C instead of Universe C. Sort of implies there's an Earth A, unless B1 Earth counts as that? Maybe I'm overthinking it.

Maybe Earth C is what we can call this snapchat interlude, actually. It's even got the special logo and everything.

Yeah, it's especially surprising to me that the images seem to imply these might actually be going somewhere plotwise. If this whole thing serves to tie up some loose ends, it might actually end up making a lot of people happy. Not counting the people who will complain no matter what, that is.

Really, I wouldn't get my hopes up too much at all about this really taking off and doing something crazy. I'm not about to hold my breath for any flashsnaps, or any sign of Lord English. Anything remotely plot relevant I expect to be not too much grander in scale than whatever might be happening with the meteor, which we haven't even seen yet.

Like I said last thread, I'm suspecting Andrew was counting on people archiving everything so you don't even really have to bother. Thus snapchat becomes little more than another foray into meta storytelling, like Vriska's instagram and Caliborn's deviantart.

Actually that makes me wonder who they/John are sending these to. Each other? That would be kind of dumb. Maybe they're actually sending them to us, the readers. That would bring the meta narrative to a close, our characters not only depart from Homestuck to live their lives freely, but are also aware of us and interact with us directly.

I don't know whether there's any pattern, I haven't been paying close attention to the exact times. I am sort of thinking maybe they're coming out as fast as Andrew is making them? I don't know if it takes an hour to make a panel though.

Caliborn was born in Universe C. Which is where B2 Earth is now.
