The few times I've video reacted to something, the software I've used was Camstudio, because it did the job fairly well, though kind of crappy quality, and it was easy. After I tried to record Collide, however, I sadly discovered that the video was too long (over 2GB) so it just gave me an error and I lost all the footage.
Today I tried out several others but they all lagged a ton, because apparently my computer sucks. I thought it didn't suck, but apparently it does.
I know there's quite a few video reacters here, so I'd really like to know what software you guys use. I really want to make a good video this Wednesday.

Windows 10 actually has a fairly good one built in, provided you're ONLY interested in recording individual windows.

If you're looking for screen recording probably OBS.

Yeah for recording the whole screen and adjusting where things are, like having it grab the flash as the main video and placing a webcam in the corner, OBS is pretty good. You just have to play around with it and tweak the setting to get it to record at a level it low enough for our computer.

Yeah, OBS was the closest I could get to a good one, but I eventually gave up on it. So I should just continue to tweak the settings? Thanks. I hope I can get it to work. The only problem is fullscreen videos, but I can manage without them.

I use aTubeCatcher. Free and comes with an audio recorder and a yotube downloader. It serves me well

Bringing this back because I want to try recording some games and things and need a good recorder, of course.
I tried OBS but it just would not cooperate with me or my computer no matter how much I tweaked the settings, and it only saved in these weird .flv files which I couldn't do anything with.
Anyway, I'll see what's up with aTubeCatcher next before turning to Google. But if anyone has any other suggestions I'd rather try those first. I'm running Windows 7 on a Dell laptop, for reference.
