We all know that rereading Homestuck is a worthwhile activity that causes you to catch a lot of stuff you missed. So I'm just wondering, how many times have all of you read the comic? I'm currently on my third read.

About four times all the way through to present. I'll likely do another full re-read after the 4/13 update and it's all over... ;_;

I have done 3 whole read-throughs, or as whole as they were at the time. I guess that means "twice, on third read"? and like 3 partial read-throughs (less than half each time).
^holy crap 9 times....

You may think I know Homestuck so well but the truth is that I've read it that many times just because my memory sucks that much.

You know what more people should do?
Reread the comic and blog about it as they go. I'm myself doing that.

I've read it up to whatever the latest update was at the time twice, and for the 3rd time I started watching the Let's Read on youtube, although I never got around to finishing that yet (at least up to what they have done.) I think I was on Act 5 Act 2 when I left off with it.

I've "read" it once for each liveblog I follow, which is quite a lot. Of course, this has the effect that I'm much more familiar with the early parts.

Oh yeah I forgot about liveblogs. That adds one or two more partial readthroughs for me I have also read the first acts more because of the HS books

The first time I sadly read Homestuck without sound (didn't it was important (how was I WRONG) and also an office setting was involved), and anyway the plot wasn't exactly clear, so a full reread followed immediately; that was at the beginning of Act 6, BTW.
The I reread it completely at least two times, and reread several sections of it multiple times.

I actually started my first read during summer camp so I read the first act on my iPod without any sound, pretty much confused by the pages that don't have sound.

The first 2 times I read Homestuck, I didn't think to turn the sound on. I missed out on a lot.

A bunch.
I can't remember specifically. But if my memory isn't fucking with me I think the last one I did, which I wrapped up right before the masterpause started, was my 5th. I think. Maybe. Probably.
I've also been reading HS for five and a half years, so five sounds about right. Of course my first couple of rereads were while Act 5 Act 2 was still ongoing, so it was a ton shorter than the comic is now, but regardless. I haven't done yearly rereads or anything, but I have reread random parts of the story at my leisure over the years in addition to specific full rereads, so that also adds...something. I probably have read most of the comic spread out in those random spurts at this point.
So...a bunch, I'm gonna say.
I plan to do another reread after it's all over. Which, fuck, two days, huh? Hard to believe.

I reread everything before starting act 6, and am now in the middle of rereading act 6 so I am in the process of my second read.
This means I won't be reading most post-Collide updates until the 13th. (the ones I did read I didn't react to yet)

I've only properly read through it one time, but I've read it vicariously through liveblogs countless times.

Everything else is just me talking to myself, really.

You know what more people should do? Reread the comic and blog about it as they go. I'm myself doing that. During my Cascade reread I posted comments in the MSPA Forums reread thread, for my Gigapause reread I originally posted in the designated thread too and then moved to Tumblr.

I've done 5 full reads so far, and I'm at the first intermission of my sixth read now. I usually read through it once or twice a year. Unfortunately, I have a very good memory and I'm getting close to having the whole thing memorized (usually not word for word, just the visuals, plotline, and general meaning of the dialogs)...But there's still references that I'm only catching now.
If anyone hasn't read it more than once, please do. The second read is critical in order to have a good grasp of the plot, and there's a lot of callbacks and foreshadowing that are only noticed the second time.

I've done two reads. My first one and the second one being a month before the updates came back. I just so happened to finish the second one on the day we got updates back

Just once all the way through, but I've read so many liveblogs that I've seen most of the comic at least twice.

I read through the whole thing once, and I read all the way up to Cascade a second time. I think I've got a good grasp on most of the important things, but I'll definitely read it over again when the story ends.
