Well, it looks like nobody has made this yet, so I thought I'd go ahead. I'm going to add a "Favourite Song" poll too, if anyone is interested. I'm bad at making posts. Anyhoo, Discuss!

I AM NOT THROWING AWAY MY SHOT I AM NOT THROWING AWAY MY SHOT AY YO I'M JUST LIKE MY COUNTRY I'M YOUNG SCRAPPY AND HUNGRY AND I AM NOT THROWING AWAY MY SHOT!
I know it's the Big Thing right now, but take away all the hype and novelty and it's still suuuuuch a well-made show. Just phenominal storytelling all around. I picked "Who Lives, Who Dies, Who Tells Your Story" for the poll thing but honestly it's impossible to REALLY pick a favorite... other favorites include My Shot, The Schuyler Sisters, Satisfied, Wait For It, Non-Stop, It's Quiet Uptown, etc. I have the biggest creator-crush on Lin-Manuel, who really just seems like the coolest and kindest person in everything I've seen from him. There's no way in hell I'm ever going to get to see it (at least not in this decade) but I'm happy the soundtrack was intentionally made in such a way as to make basically the entire show accessible to everyone. And The Hamilton Mixtape??? SO GOOD. I think my favorites from THAT are the ones like "I Wrote My Way Out" and "Immigrants (We Get The Job Done)" which use the themes from the show as a vehicle to tell real people's stories, so it really hits home how relevant the themes of the show still are today. And I thiiiink there's supposed to be a second one eventually? So that's cool.
okay I guess that's enough gushing for now lol

Awesome! To be honest, I haven't gotten around to listening to the mixtape yet- but it's on my list! I know some people diss it for being just another trend, but it really is a work of art. I chose The Room Where It Happens as my favorite, mostly because I kind of relate to it with my interest in politics. My other favorites, though, are probably You'll Be Back and Guns And Ships.
