Okay so; the media subforum was basically the thing that kept me around the Homestuck forums 95% of the time, and some of my best experiences of the fandom were participating in things like the Sepulchritude TF2 server and the various iterations of Shinmera and Drillgorg's Minecraft servers, marathonning our way through the original Borderlands with all its DLC along with Lieutenant Phish, WordsHere and Superfrequency, plus just generally discussing stuff like Fallout 3 vs New Vegas, grumbling about the current state of World of Warcraft, and so on. Games are how I best interact with the community. So, hey! Why not be the one to start the conversation station here, too?
I have two things right now; Recently installed, high speed, reliable internet, and a strong urge to play some games with other people. If anyone would be interested and could guide me through how to do it, I'd be especially excited to try hosting some kind of a Minecraft server; Tekkit Legends would be my personal pick (Almost all the great classic mods like Forestry, IC2 and Equivalent Exchange, but revived and updated to be compatible with 1.7) but maybe just Vanilla if all that people'd be interested in is a regular Minecraft Realms server.
If anyone has other game servers they'd like to share, make, or so on, I'll list them here.
------------------------------
I currently am running a Minecraft Realms server for the forum. PM me for an invite.

Im not that big on playing games, but I did try the trial of Unravel (from Origin), and it was really cute! and sooo swedish looking! but I like being able to clearly see where I can and cant go; otherwise its kinda stressful not to be sure Ive been everywhere? I know there was some part I missed but then I couldnt go back... I guess thats replay value?

Well in the meanwhile you can always help me make the Awkward Zombie forum's vanilla server less completely dead. (158.85.69.135:39573)

Few games I play anymore, but I still play terraria every now and then (like once a month) and I'll play a game called starbound once it formally jumps over from beta to released. I'm interested in Stardew Valley, but I only play farming games when I need to relax which is almost never. Also, touhou.

It seems like I've spent long enough without playing TF2 to not be completely burned out on it anymore.

Okay! I am right now in the middle of Cruch Time for school, so I probably won't be able to play.

I can play minecraft, so long as it doesn't have 1.000 mods otherwise it slows to a crawl because my computer is shit. I love TF2 and it runs amazingly.

We don't have either at the moment, I don't believe. I have strong internet and a beefy PC so I can host stuff if people are interested; I just have very minimal experience doing so. Again, no one was really doing anything with the AZ minecraft world anymore so if you wanna do stuff on there while it lasts, it sounds like that's fine.

Hosting doesn't require all that much experience, unless people are going to be assholes in-game.

On public multiplayer, I only mess with Pokemon Showdown (I lack the 5IV Pokemon to make a good team on Omega Ruby). I pride myself on my skills with the OU and under tiers.
I do run a private server on MineCraft, but mainly for my friends only. I don't plan to make it public to this forum until I know how to kick out mean people.

Isn't it just /kick playername? Maybe I'm wrong, though. Oh, Pokemon Showdown is fun! But I am not great at making teams

Should be relatively easy to google "How to host [game] server"!

I have every room in my house built, two downstairs and the upstairs rooms expanded once and twice respectively, Club lol, the second floor of the museum, the salon/Kicks, Super T&T, the police station, about half a dozen of every fruit tree, every fish and insect that's in season except the coelacanth and snail, and thanks to hosting my town with turnips selling for 400-some a piece, about 5 million bells.

Oh man D: I usually can't commit myself to a sandbox game like AC, so I typically stick with games that have a ending. This goes for anything else. I can't commit myself to a relationship, too much work. Can't commit myself to a endless roleplay, I'll just end up stagnating, etc. Homestuck is the only big thing (apart from games) that I have finished. This says a lot.

I wouldn't have gotten this deep into it if I didn't have real life friends to talk about and enjoy the game with.
