This is an attempt to revive the Forumstuck RP from the original MSPA forums. Are there enough people around here to make it work? I guess we'll see.
For those who didn't get to witness the original Forumstuck threads (yes, threads. We completed an entire session and moved on to a second one) the idea was an open SBURB RP, taking place on the forums. Most posts were a combination of text explaining a character's actions and logs of a character's own texts in the memo.
Basically, do whatever you want unless it ruins someone else's fun. There are some more details to go through below, and a second set of optional rules after that.
-Players can manipulate the environment of their own house, meaning self-entry is the way to go. Portal progression still exists but not in a strict chain, there are many portals in every Land that lead to other Lands, and portals on those other Lands that lead to new areas of your own Land. No more house building, not until the Ultimate Alchemy!
-Players are encouraged to make up consorts, quests, dungeons and Denizens by themselves, but I can provide some of that if needed. Particularly combat, though if you want to write combat yourself that’s fine, I don’t really expect anyone to fudge rolls to their own benefit since they aren’t required in the first place.
-The players do not know about Homestuck. They caught wind of this multiplayer session on the internet and joined the group memo. How they feel about the world ending is up to you.
-Pre-entry prototypes will be logged so I can keep track of them. Any Underling in the game can carry any prototyping, though nobody except royalty will be carrying more than a few at once. Keep in mind your sprite will not help you in combat until later levels, and no they will not immediately tell you how to god-tier. I don’t know if sprites even know how that works in the first place. God-tiering does work the same way it does in the comic (but you will have to be at the top of your Echeladder, even though that requirement seemed to get dropped in the comic. Considering not making it apply to Quest Crypt ascensions).
-Feel free to make up Fraymotifs and alchemy combinations yourself. If you want to keep track of your captchalogue cards and fetch modus go ahead. This world is your little oyster.
