A long time ago, I made a forum adventure on the MSPA forums called Colored Castles.Shortly before the adventure's long anticipated season finale, the forum was shut down without warning. While all the images I had created for the adventure were safely tucked away in a Dropbox, I had been writing the text for the adventure update by update on the same text document, overwriting the previous update each time. I was confident--too much so--that the website would aptly preserve the text of my tale.I had music and assets, but no camera, no editing software, no forum, and no hope.UNTIIIIIIL NOOOOOOOOOOOOOWWThanks to the ambition of FriendlyCoy, I was inspired to take back up the ancient project, with all the things that had previously evaded me now readily at my fingertips. And so, for any of you out there who may still be waiting for it, and any newcomers who stumble along and wish to explore and asses the culmination of an ancient collaborative project's broken and forgotten history, I ask that you expose yourself to:HIATUS

I'm glad that you decided to do it even with all of the let downs you've faced. I haven't expected to see the finale finished at all, after the death of the forums. It felt like losing one of the greatest projects there was! (on the forums), you've commited so much work for it and seeing it fade away forever really made me sad.
Thank you, BB, for posting this.

As a guy who knows nothing about your story; i look forward to binge reading the whole damn thing as soon as i learn where i can read it. That is quite a huge problem, since the story had more than 30 characters (players) and all of them had deep development and backstory that was well-written in huge text walls (not that houge though). As far as we are we can't even reach to talk to every player anymore, sadly. It means that if we want to see it alive again, it means we have to write it all over again.

I actually joined this adventure in ye olden days as Alder and remember being really disappointed that I never got to see its ending. I can't tell you what it means to me that you actually finished it, it was probably my favorite adventure on the site by a long shot. I actually made an account just to tell you that so later gator.
