After 32 years, Microsoft has revealed that it will no longer be supporting MS Paint in the future. While the program isn't dead yet, Microsoft has labelled it as "Deprecated", which means they plan to remove it in a future update. To quote The page itself:
Will be available through the Windows Store. Functionality integrated into Paint 3D.
Rest in peace, MS Paint. You will be missed.
EDIT: I somehow missed this, but Microsoft sent out this tweet saying that they have decided to not remove MS Paint after all, most likely due to fan outcry. Whether or not the program itself will be getting an overhaul remains to be seen.

Seems like a non-issue to me. Even if they did follow through with the original plan, you could still get it if you wanted it, and this Paint 3D thing seems like it will have all the same 2D capabilities along with the new 3D stuff. Though I suppose it would lose the advantage of being a super-simple "baby's first image editor" type program.
