CAPES, CRIMES, and CHAOS >Begin
Your name is Mike Stolman, and due to strange circumstances beyond your own understanding, you are among the roughly 0.00007% oh humans that have developed superpowers. You are currently sitting atop a rooftop, contemplating what you should do. Being a hero is nice, but villainy has its perks too. "What should I do with my life?" you wonder to yourself. You've had this power, the ability to create fog and make portals out of the stuff, for about 3 weeks now. What will you do?
there's a discord server if you want

Well, before you choose villainy or heroism, are there any other supers in your town? If there is a league of heroes, then being a villain would be harder, likewise, too many villains, and they'll horn in on your turf.
Where do the fog portals go?

If there is a league of heroes, then being a villain would be harder, likewise, too many villains, and they'll horn in on your turf. Where do the fog portals go? There is an office for the Superhuman League in town, but it's a pretty small one, with only a dozen or so heroes, save for whenever a Class 5 threat enters the city. Then they'll usually call the heavy-hitters from places like New York and San Francisco. Usually, the heroes and villains are in a sort of stalemate. As for your portals, you can open them between any 2 locations as long as there's fog that you're aware of. The thicker the fog, the more stable the portal.

You know what? Try villainy first. Fog portals sound like a great aid for bank robberies, and if you don't like it you can always change your mind.

>Decide to go for villainy You've made up your mind. There's more reward to being a successful villain than there is to being a successful hero anyways. There's still some things you're going to have to take care of. You'll need a costume for sure, you can't have heroes tracking you down. You ponder joining an organized group of villains, but you decide against that for the moment. Splitting the money on a bank robbery or some other thing doesn't seem particularly good for you. Maybe after you test the waters. You'll also need some kind of weapon probably. The more you think about it, the more you realize that you're probably in a bit over your head.

Can you shroud yourself in fog, or smoke? There's no way to incorporate fogginess into anything scary or threatening onto clothing, but if you can control it at all, the fog itself is spooky.
If not, just go for basic black leotard. The details will come to you later, I'm sure.
Same thing for a weapon. Maybe try a baseball bat to start with? You don't wanna get arrested because you bought a gun, and have it tracked to you, with serial numbers, and records and such. Keep it simple. You can always upscale it later.

Pretty good uniform. Sinister enough!
I guess you go hide in an alley now, and wait for suitably muggable people to walk by.

(Hey Kane, remember PUBLIC ALCHEMITER? Like Kane said, this is in no way relevant to this forum adventure. In the future, please make your posts relevant to the topic at hand, and if you're genuinely interested in the continuation of a project you can post about that in the appropriate place and in a respectful manner.

Obviously, this is where you get mugged by more experienced muggers who don't appreciate you horning in on their 'turf.

Why mug people anyway, with your powers you're probably off better stealing stuff from buildings and cars.

>Be someone else You are now a local hero going by the name of SCHRODINGER. Your power allows you to exist in numerous possible states while nobody sees you. Once someone does see you, you've got to choose one of your states. Your power essentially lets you take every possible action at once, and you only have to choose which course of action becomes the real one when someone sees you or any of your other selves. You can see your alternate selves as faint, almost invisible copies, but you can't interact with them, though they all can interact with the physical world. You, fortunately, are immune to causing this effect on yourself. But enough about your power. Currently, you're on patrol, and you see a strange, unnatural fog in the distance. Maybe some moron left a smoke machine laying around, but you'd rather not leave that up to chance. What will you do?

Call the fire department, in case of a fire, then head over to investigate.

Check it yourself from a distance while simultaneously calling the fire department.

Also, play around on your phone, that way, even if nothing exciting happens, you can still have fun and play games.

Sorry for the lack of an update. A big storm hit a few days ago and most of my town hasn't had electricity for the past few days. The next update will be out in a few days.

>Call the fire department/Go investigate Looks like a villain, and a new one by the looks of it. You'd best observe for now, try to figure out what his power is. You can't be too careful with this sort of thing.
