In the absence of my original thread, which was housed on the MSPA Forums for many years, I will now be posting things here instead.
What to expect me to post in this thread:
Tirgostuck (or what's left of it)
Things I've written
Whatever else I want to post
Eridan and Nepeta Become Friends: A red Eri-Nep fanfic. A sequel is planned for the future. Tirgostuck: A semi-lost semi-original story about some kids who live in a weird place and try to figure out their surroundings as well as each other. Not sure if this one is getting a continuation, roughly 1/3rd of it seems to be gone at the moment with the demise of the MSPA Forums.
Tirgostuck is a story. The first part of it was a fan adventure with images and all that, which is partly uploaded here. That part of the story is up in the air in terms of how much I can recover. That being said, I haven't really looked into it that much. I still have all the images, the text might be gone, though. I'll update with more information when I get around to checking that stuff out.
The latter 3/4th of the story is text-only, and 2/3 of that has been found thus far. I'll begin posting it now.
Recap of the events leading up to becoming text only (this recap was made several years ago and has some issues that I'll try and fix later):
We start off with THOMAS JEFFERSON aka "TIRGO" idling around in his room. Tirgo is a slightly dim but friendly and upstanding guy. This young man spends most of his time not sleeping or eating and avoiding a conversation with his sister, Rin Ardus. Tirgo appears to have lost contact with a number of previous friends, and only talks to a select few nowadays. He checks his emails and apparently finds no new messages, although the screen clearly displays a large amount of emails from "Prin Pardus". Through his room-related adventures, Tirgo eventually decides to exit the room. Unfortunately, this requires his sister's help, and she is hidden in the darkness shadowing her side of the room. Tirgo powers up into his E-Mage form (a super power thing enabling Tirgo to use electric-based powers and fly) and brightens up the rest of the room, revealing Rin, who turns out to be a strange evil-looking shadow monster girl. Rin is a slightly crazy chick. [In a flashback, we temporarily take control of Prin Pardus, a totally completely unrelated person. She talks to Tirgo and seems to be cautious about something. Suddenly, she is contacted by a mysterious person who informs her that "it has happened". She frantically tries to talk to Tirgo, but he is unable to be contacted. This takes place an unspecified time in the past.]
Tirgo and Rin get to talking. Rin makes Tirgo a new arm to replace his recently destroyed right one. Tirgo is overjoyed by this, and Rin responds enthusiastically by attempting to rape him. As it turns out, Rin has a huge, incestuous crush on Tirgo and has no idea how to really control it. (This is primarily why Tirgo avoided her.) She apologizes and offers her help in... whatever Tirgo wants to do. After Rin destroys a strange poster, Tirgo and Rin prepare to leave their "room" for the first time in years.
And so ends Act One.
Act Two begins with Tirgo and Rin leaving their room. As it turns out, their "room" resides on a piece of land floating in the middle of a strange neon space. A purple bridge beckons Tirgo and Rin, and they curiously decide to follow it. While on the trek, Tirgo looks at his phone and notices a lot of messages from his friends. First, he talks to totallyHoney, a bizarre and overly friendly person who may not be all he seems. Then he talks to devyn, a serious, stoic sort of guy. After that, he picks up a conversation with tomodachiAi, a Japanese girl who he has learned Japanese in order to speak to. Finally, he talks with finelyEvaluating, a gossipy, sly girl. It is at this point we are brought to the viewpoint of tomodachiAi.
tomodachiAi turns out to be a cute, energetic-seeming Japanese girl named Kaoru Maeda. She has a love for Japanese culture but is very insecure and despises insults. She messes around in her room for a little bit, then picks up another chat with Tirgo. Tirgo tells her that finelyEvaluating made some half-sincere gossipy comments about her possible lack of Japanese genes, which she takes very much offense to. Before she can dwell on this very long, a knock on her door sounds. She goes to open the door.
We are introduced to finelyEvaluating, a stylish, hip girl named Fiona Dark. She's pretty confident of herself and appears to be good friends with Tirgo and devyn. She's never interacted with another human being, as she has been confined to a single room for her entire life.
We get back to Kaoru's door opening. The man at the door, implied to be devyn, points a gun at her menacingly and she is stunned. devyn texts something to totallyHoney, who turns out to be a calculating, strange robotic-looking person. Meanwhile, Tirgo and Rin come upon a gigantic door at the end of the purple path.
And so ends Act Two.
As the next act opens, Kaoru is at devyn's mercy. His pistol is pointed directly at her. Suddenly, she is overcome by power -- she changes appearance and takes on wind powers. devyn's gun is blown out of his hand. Kaoru is stunned, but then gets cocky and appears to be itching to test her new powers out on devyn. Before she can do anything, however, devyn is already leaving. Kaoru makes to follow him, but loses him quickly and flies high above the ground, revealing the world they live in to be made up of giant stars interconnected by purple bridges.
Fiona is texting people and hears a knock on her door for the first time ever. She tries the door and finally it is unlocked; the door opens. Fiona expects to find devyn, but instead finds Kaoru, who was searching for devyn herself. Upon seeing Fiona, and remembering what she said about her, Kaoru becomes enraged. After a stare down, Fiona just closes the door. Meanwhile, Tirgo and Rin are trying to figure out how to open the door. Rin randomly decides to use Tirgo's phone to message people. First, she talks to totallyHoney, who gives his name as Falcon Blade and formally introduces himself as being devyn's brother. After that, she talks to devyn, who mentions a person named Prin Pardus who disappeared and looked a lot like Rin. Rin starts to wonder about who she really is. Meanwhile meanwhile, Tirgo ponders his romantic interest in both Fiona and Kaoru. Rin opens the door for Tirgo and decides to leave on her own to think about things, much to Tirgo's dismay.
And so doesn't end Act Three Act One, because that would be stupid.
Back to Fiona's place, Kaoru is viciously banging on Fiona's door, trying to get the frightened girl to open up. She lets up, and after a while, Fiona opens up and checks outside. She is unexpectedly HYPER WIND TACKLED back into the room by Kaoru, who violently slams her into a wall and appears to be ready to murder her. Tirgo walks into the room, and everybody stops everything.
The story is abruptly taken over by the author of this story, a boy wearing a dumb hat. He takes domain in the highly impressive MS Paint shapes dimension, where he invites the reader to check out some random events. The reader is then shown several vignettes. In the first one, Tirgo and Kaoru have a chat a few years previous to the story and flirt. In the second one, the same thing happens with Tirgo and Fiona. While showing the third one, where Fiona and devyn talk, the "viewing orb" starts glitching out. A lot lot of foreshadowing and weird bits of text spill out of the orb before the author fixes it and unlocks one last vignette. In this one, Falcon appears to be conversing with a mysterious unseen villain. Finally, the author allows the story to go back to what it was doing.
Back at Fiona's place, the three of them are standing there awkwardly. Fiona starts crying. Tirgo bursts into his E-Mage powers and tells Kaoru to leave, which she does shamefully. Tirgo goes to comfort Fiona, and they end up kissing. Kaoru talks with devyn a little and only manages to feel bad about everything. We, for the first time, go to devyn. devyn works for his "brother" Falcon, but not willingly. He is under mind control and is forced to do whatever Falcon wants, even though it upsets him to do hurtful things. devyn sets out to do something. Meanwhile, Kaoru, still down on herself, flies off to do who knows what. Tirgo and Fiona end up sleeping together (as in in the same bed, not sex). Falcon talks with a giant, mysterious villain seen before.
And so ends Act Two Act Two.
The next morning, Tirgo is sleeping peacefully. Fiona allows him to sleep in and then gets involved in a "talk" with Kaoru (which is pretty difficult in the first place, since Kaoru can only communicate in broken, translated English). Tirgo sees someone who looks like Rin, but who appears to be a regular human, in a dream. He awakens to confusion. The reader is "allowed" to "choose" the next part of the story, which, after three tries, ends up on devyn. However, instead of going directly to devyn, we are introduced to Orange Nelly, a super cool inventor girl. Before we can get properly acquainted, she is shot by devyn. She bleeds out. devyn seems to be overcome with remorse and puts his trademark sunglasses on her corpse as a sort of desperate apology. He leaves. Falcon contacts him and tells him to go hunt down more kids. He at first refuses, but Falcon "compels" him to and takes over his mind. The reader is "allowed" to "choose" the next part, and picks Tirgo (which had already been rejected before).
Tirgo awakens in Fiona's bed, confused due to the events of the previous day and the fact that he has not slept in three years. Fiona cheerfully greets him. They have a cute little talk about the kissing they did the previous night and decide to start dating. Tirgo contacts another friend, dystopicRebel, to figure out more about the world they're in now. dystopicRebel tells him that they are in the world of Subcon and gives him a terrible map to help him out. Tirgo is excited to leave, but Fiona is nervous, afraid that everyone in the world will hurt her like Kaoru. Tirgo tries to co-erce her to join him, but she is too afraid. Eventually, Tirgo just literally picks her up and brings her outside. Fiona seems to finally decide to go with him and they kiss again. Unbeknownst to them, a mind controlled devyn is watching them.
Falcon-controlled devyn (nicknamed Falvyn) shoots them, but Tirgo protects him and Fiona with a "window" he acquired earlier. Tirgo powers up to his E-Mage form and heavily shocks Falvyn. Falvyn seems to be done, but reveals a previously unknown power. He powers up to an intimidating new firey form.
Sometime soon I'll post what else I have of Tirgostuck
Here's the first 13 text updates for Tirgostuck. Honestly, I think I should rewrite at least the first half of this stuff. Keep in mind, Tirgostuck became text-only in 2013, and continued until 2016. Every part could have been written anywhere from a day later to several months later. So, my writing style changed a lot during that time. There's also things that I flat-out retconned later, or stuff I would have written way differently based on how I changed the story itself later on. So, yeah. Tirgostuck is kind of a mess, but I'll keep looking for more of it anyway.
"I see... So you are much more powerful than I expected... I guess I don't have to hold back anymore... Did you know everyone has special abilities, E-Mage? You aren't special. ...I like fighting without doing this, but... I think it's time to show you my true power!!"
Before Tirgo's eyes, the strange man before him began glowing wildly, his bright green shades shining brightly. Before Tirgo could figure out what he was looking at, the man burst into flames with a burst of cacophonous noise. Tirgo quickly backed away, pushing Fiona further behind him to shield her from the flames whose heat he could feel lightly touch his body. Fiona was plainly trembling. Tirgo glanced at her. Her eyes were wide and filled with terror and confusion. She appeared to be at a loss for words. "Go inside! Get out of here!" he shouted to her over the bizarre and chaotic noise emanating from the fiery man before them. Her eyes reached his. She hesitated for a moment, then nodded frantically and started running toward the door.
Tirgo heard the door slam, then a burst of malicious laughter erupted from the swirling mass of flames. The flames gave way, revealing devyn again. The shades were gone, showing wide, frightening bright green eyes. His jacket had mutated into a huge cape composed entirely of burning flames. devyn smiled slyly. "Do you see my power yet, E-Mage?" he asked in a strangely powerful-sounding voice. Tirgo looked back at devyn with a defiant look on his face. "What, you can change clothes? Great show of power!" he shouted mockingly. To his surprise, devyn didn't seem to be phased by this. If anything, he smiled wider. Tirgo suddenly noticed that the ground below devyn was burning and becoming charred before his eyes. He considered his course of action. "Would you perhaps like to have a first-hand sample of my ability?" smiled devyn. Tirgo stood his ground. There was no way he would give up, especially not when he was protecting Fiona. He would sooner die than abandon a friend.
Tirgo charged up with electricity as he stared down the imposing man before him. How could this be devyn? devyn seemed like a relatively normal, mysterious type... but a firey villian? Tirgo never saw this coming. Now he was the only thing stopping devyn from turning those same burning powers against a new flame of his own, Fiona. He powered up to full E-Mage status and posed dramatically, electricity flowing through his body and onto the ground, causing the nearby area to crackle and glow with electricity. To his disgruntlement, devyn merely laughed. "Is that truly the extent of your powers? Don't make me laugh." he asked, chuckling intimidatingly again. devyn seemed to not even consider him a threat, looking vaguely around for Fiona.
This was the last straw. Tirgo flung himself at devyn with a wild battle cry, pulling his arm back for a huge, electrical punch. One second, he was quickly approaching devyn's sneering face, the next, he was gone. Tirgo's punch collided with the ground and he looked around wildly looking for devyn. devyn had teleported a few feet to the left, a sneering look still present on his face. His arms were now crossed in amusement. From this angle, Tirgo felt as though devyn were huge and infinitely powerful. He narrowed his eyes.
Tirgo launched himself at devyn again, dealing out a flurry of punches. Each one slammed into a small pillar of fire that quickly arose to protect devyn. Tirgo couldn't get a single punch in, and devyn didn't even flinch. Tirgo backed off, considering his plan of attack. He began to circle devyn, who didn't even glance in his direction. Tirgo kept walking until he was sure he was in devyn's blind spot, then jumped at him again. To his surprise, this attack was also blocked quickly. devyn glanced at him and smiled. A second later, the fire which had protected him hit Tirgo back, sending him flying. He slammed onto the ground painfully a few feet away. Tirgo looked up at devyn's sneering face and became enraged.
Tirgo picked himself off the ground and charged up as much energy as he could handle. Electricity emanated all around him much as devyn's fire did while he was transforming. He began yelling and punched both fists into the ground, absorbing the electricity built into the ground. He pushed himself past his limit, almost overwhelming himself with electricity, but he kept going. There was no way this guy was going to make him look like an idiot!
Tirgo stomped the ground with a huge burst of energy, cracking the ground in front of him. devyn yawned. Tirgo glared at him furiously, his eyes now glowing with power as well. "How about you stop acting like a jerk and show me what you really got, devyn?? I bet you don't even have a fraction of the power you think you have!!" Tirgo pointed at him dramatically. devyn contemplated him for a moment.
devyn disappeared. Before Tirgo could react, something extremely painful collided with the side of his head, sending him careening onto the ground again. This time, Tirgo reacted fast. He launched himself off of the ground using a burst of energy and flew at devyn, concentrating all of his power into a single punch.
Tirgo outsped devyn and finally landed the hit squarely in devyn's face. All the built up electrical energy, easily enough to kill a normal man in a split second, rushed into devyn's face at impact. Tirgo smiled cockily, sure that the battle was won. The flames gave way to electricity, bright, blue, yellow. devyn's face wasn't visible behind the veil of destructive power. The sound was deafening, a cacophony of electricity, sparkling, and power. After a minute, the flashing died down and devyn's face slowly became visible, Tirgo's fist still fixed to it.
devyn's face didn't seem to be harmed. His body didn't seem to be harmed. He was still wearing the same mocking expression as before. "Is that it?" he sneered. Tirgo backed away slowly, horrorstruck. His attack had absolutely no effect.
The next thing Tirgo knew, he was clocked in the face in return. For the third time in a few minutes, Tirgo slammed onto the hard ground, a new bruise to nurse festering on his face. This time, he couldn't bring himself to get up. He just lay on the ground, dumbstruck. There was no way he could win a fight against such an adversary. His most powerful attack did absolutely nothing. He was worthless, powerless to protect Fiona. The power of electricity left Tirgo, returning him to mortal. He heard footsteps approach him. "Given up, I see. I appreciate a fight, but if you're done, perhaps I'll just get this over with," devyn said. Tirgo heard flames rising, power being concentrated... Tirgo shut his eyes. This was it.
"DON'T YOU DARE HURT MY BROTHER!"
Tirgo's eyes flew open.
Tirgo immediately forgot all of his weakness and pushed against the ground to lift his head off the ground. In what seemed like slow motion, Rin flew down from the sky, shadowy darkness in her wake, her slick, boyish hair flowing in the wind, shiny blue eyes barely visible behind cracked shades. She touched down immediately in front of him, blocking devyn from approaching any nearer. She held out her arms in Tirgo's defense. Tirgo watched as shadow came from her body and surrounded him in a dark shield. He could no longer tell what was happening. After a few seconds with shaky arms, Tirgo collapsed and allowed himself to black out.
>> BE RIN.
Rin continued to block off devyn while she fortified the shield surrounding Tirgo using her powers, glaring at devyn in the meantime. devyn seemed unconcerned with the shield and seemed to pause in his attack entirely, flames still surrounding him but making no attempt to rise further. He was contemplating Rin deeply, as though lost in calculations. Rin finished up the shield and grabbed it using more shadows. The shadows pushed the shield (and Tirgo) away to safety. Rin then pushed all the remaining shadow back into herself, preparing for battle. At this, devyn smiled as if making a decision. "So, you are Rin Ardus. Are you finished with your soul searching?" he said slyly. Rin said nothing.
devyn and Rin continued to stare each other town, Rin with a look of contempt on her face, devyn with an amused look on his. After a minute or two, devyn turned to leave. "Alright, I get the message. I'll let you kids have your fun a little longer," he said, chuckling a little to himself. devyn's power dropped quickly, his jacket reattached itself, and in seconds, he was back to normal. He then immediately fell unconscious. Rin slid over and flipped him onto his front. Before her eyes, the shades she also wore reappeared on his unconscious face. Rin looked around, then picked him up and flew away.
>> BE FIONA.
Fiona was shaking uncontrollably. She had all her limbs close to her body as she sat on the bed, eyes widened in fear. Any second now, devyn might charge through the door carrying Tirgo's dead body, laughing wildly as he cooked her alive... She tried to cast these fears away, but they kept coming back. devyn was a person she trusted. A loyal friend. devyn was the first person she had ever talked to in her life, and a lot of the time, it was his companionship that kept her from going insane in her cell of a bedroom. She was confused. Her best friend and her boyfriend, fighting to the death? Right after her first look at the real world? It was all way too much. She wanted to just stay here and never leave ever again. But at the same time, she wanted Tirgo to come in and give her a hug. Or anyone. She wasn't too picky at this moment. Just then, as she was starting to calm down a smidgen, the doorknob rattled and she retreated into paralyzed fear again.
She had expected either devyn or Tirgo to enter, but the person who entered instead was someone she didn't know at all. This person (monster?) seemed to have a bizarre, shadowy, almost menacing aura about them. The bright pink hat, blonde hair, cracked devyn shades and lack of legs didn't really help her at all. That only served to confuse her. What was worse, she had no idea what gender this person was. The person had sort of a masculine face and features, but the slender, shadow-infused body and the presence of breasts confused it a bit. The person stared at her with intense, slightly crazy-looking bright blue eyes hidden behind broken sunglasses. Strange shapes appeared in the shadow of her lower body. Everything about this woman (?) just freaked her out.
"Who are you?" asked the person questioningly. "Do you know Tirgo?"
Fiona reeled a little. Not the voice she was expecting. This voice was definitely a woman's. "Th-the thing I should be asking is who are you!!" she said furiously, desperately trying to position her body pose and demeanor so she could regain her "bad girl" shield she so adored hiding behind.
Rin looked around the empty room, then returned to staring at Fiona. Her intense eyes and silent demeanor only made Fiona unnerved. After a minute, she relented. "Yeah, I know Tirgo," she said, trying to sound confident. "He's my boyfriend!"
Rin's eyes seemed to widen in fury, but a second later, that was gone, leaving Fiona to wonder if she was seeing things. "Is that the truth?" she said calmly. "In that case, let me give you a word of advice."
"If you ever hurt him, I will personally dig your grave and put you in it. Nobody hurts my brother. Never again."
And Rin left the room. Before closing the door, she stopped and, with her eyes facing front, said, "He'll be back soon. Take care of him." She closed the door with a snap.
Fiona stared at the door. Wait, Tirgo had a sister? And she was a nightmare shadow monster?
Maybe this relationship was a bit rushed...
>> BE TIRGO.
Tirgo awoke, but he didn't bother to open his eyes. He was content to continue laying in this sphere of comfort for as long as he lived. His surroundings made him feel strangely complacent, as though there was nothing to really worry about in the world. For a while, he just laid there and thought about happy things. He thought about candy... and pears... and electricity... and sleeping... and Rin... Rin?
Tirgo opened his eyes. He was inside a cozy sphere of shadow, which appeared to be both protecting him and feeding him energy. He made an effort to get up and the sphere disappeared, leaving him lying on cold ground in the middle of nowhere. He recognized that he was sitting on one of the Stars which made up Subcon. They were named something, but he didn't particularly care right at this moment. He felt dizzy and confused. What was going on? Why was he here? And then it all started coming back to him... Rin came to his rescue and stopped devyn from killing him. Right? Did she actually beat him? What happened?
Tirgo got off the ground and looked around. He could see nothing for miles in front of him. He tried turning around and noticed two houses nearby, an orange house and a white house. He looked around cautiously to check for nearby signs of flame, then trekked off toward the white home.
The orange door opened creakily. The lights were off. Tirgo reached for the switch but failed to find one. The place definitely looked stange just from here. Slowly, Tirgo crept in, trying to get his eyes to focus. Suddenly, he realized he had fucking electric superpowers and tried to turn them on. No dice. He was still recharging from his last encounter. The fight with devyn must have drained him more than he thought. He did, however, manage to bring his right arm into an electrified state. This brought light to a small area around his arm, allowing him to search around faster.
He looked around the room, looking for anything he could use. He used to play adventure games. There was always useful things in strange places. On a table, he found a couple tools and a strange green and black necklace thing. He took the necklace and tucked it into a pocket. Might come in handy. He moved his arm to search on, and he suddenly saw something that made him jump and scuttle back timidly, his heart beating fast. After a few seconds, he inched forward and raised his hand to see what it was.
There was a girl laying on the ground, blood surrounding her. devyn's red shades were resting on her chest. Her eyes were closed. This woman was obviously dead.
Tirgo stood there, shocked. A murder. And what's more, a friend. This was the body of Orange Nelly, a good friend of his. He dropped to his knees to further inspect. Was devyn behind this too? He moved the shades resting on her chest and checked out the murder wound. She had been shot. He then looked to the shades in his hand. Definitely devyn's work. This madman had to be stopped. He had gone too far this time. Tirgo looked into Nelly's face. It was frozen in an expression of sadness. She didn't deserve to go like this. She didn't deserve to go at all.
Tirgo stood up. Slowly, he moved backwards, away from the body. He had to do something to tribute her. Anything. He looked at the shades still in his hands. He charged up the electricity in his arm until the shades cracked. Then he threw them across the room. He looked up at the ceiling. "That's just the beginning, Nelly. I'll break the rest of him too!" he shouted determinedly at the ceiling. After a few seconds, he then left.
Once outside, Tirgo checked his pockets. He found his phone and went through it to see if he could find anything to help him out. After a little searching, he found DR's Map of Subcon. This map, while horribly drawn, did provide him with enough information to know that Fiona's place was just nearby. Hurray. Tirgo put away his phone and set off for Fiona's place. While walking, however, he brought it back out after a lingering thought. devyn's home was marked on here, right next to DR's place. After retrieving Fiona, going there would be an obvious course of action. He put it away again with a click.
Tirgo soon came upon Fiona's Room. There were definitely signs of the confrontation here. Here and there the ground had been scorched by devyn's flames, and Tirgo noticed the place where he had powered up to his highest limit ever. Surely that would merit a promotion to ElecWarrior. He'd have to check the website again later. For now, checking on Fiona was top priority.
Fiona's door creaked open and Tirgo heard a gasp before he entered. Fiona's room was the same as it was an hour or so ago. Fiona herself was perched on the bed, shaking and sobbing, but upon noticing who entered, sighed in deep relief and laughed slightly. Tirgo walked over and sat down next to Fiona, allowing her to wrap her arms around him and sob into his chest. "I'm sorry," he said.
She looked up at him. "W-what's there to be sorry about?" she smiled shakily. "I'm just glad you're here again."
Tirgo smiled at her, but his mind wandered. He wasn't powerful enough to fight devyn. He had to get to work on becoming stronger. He wouldn't allow anyone to try and hurt his friends again. If it weren't for Rin...
"Hey, Fiona..." he said suddenly. "Did my sister Rin talk to you? What happened?"
Fiona looked a little embarrassed. "So, that was your sister..." she said quietly. "She didn't say much to me. She told me you were going to be coming back soon. And I guess she was right." And she buried her face in his chest again.
Tirgo scratched his head. What to do? Rin was surely gone by now, and he didn't even get to talk to her... He wanted to face devyn again, but he wasn't strong enough. He needed to talk to Kaoru, but he had no idea where she was either. He took out his phone and consulted the map again. Perhaps the best course of action now would be to go with his original plan. He would go and talk to DR. DR would surely know more about what was going on.
Tirgo wanted to leave immediately, and made to get up, but Fiona pulled him back and clung to him once more, looking up at him with an expression of sadness and longing. Tirgo smiled and ran his fingers through her hair. The quest could wait, he thought.
>> BE DEVYN.
devyn opened his eyes. He didn't bother to open them all the way. After a few seconds, he closed them. Just another memory to forget. Another thing to try and pretend never happened. He felt his face and his hands touched the large triangular red shades. Back again. How many times had he tried to shed these sunglasses? There must be countless bright red shades floating around the realm of existence, he thought to himself. Every time he was forced to do something he tried to get rid of them. They always made their way back.
devyn sat up. He had taunted Rin about not knowing who she was. He didn't know what to think about himself either. Did he even have a personality beyond "mind slave"? Slowly, he got to his feet and sighed. Any minute now, Falcon would annoy him and tell him to do something at risk of losing his self-control. He was prepared to milk those minutes for all they had. devyn took out his phone.
devyn started messaging dystopicRebel
devyn: Ezrael. DR: what up devyn: I don't know what to do anymore. dystopicRebel stopped messaging devyn
Wise words from a kind friend. devyn put away his phone and sighed deeply. How could he get stronger than he already was? Only seconds later, his phone started vibrating again. He hesitated. It must be Falcon. He slowly took out his phone. The screen was lit up bright green. Fantastic.
devyn could already feel his self control slipping away...
>> BE DR.
Unfortunately, he has not yet been formally introduced, and thus the narrative does not know what he is doing. Looks like he'll just have to wait a bit.
>> BE FIONA.
Fiona was scared, but felt safe in Tirgo's arms. She felt him petting her hair softly. She felt loved, like nothing else mattered. But still, biting thoughts struck her. What if everyone outside is as bad as Kaoru or devyn? What if she didn't leave, and Tirgo went on without her, and she never saw him again? What if she went and Tirgo got murdered right in front of her? She felt ashamed of her fears. She was Fiona Dark, the cool and charismatic badass. Or at least she thought she was. Maybe she wasn't worth of being loved. She felt horribly weak.
The petting stopped and she looked up at Tirgo. Like before, he looked lost in thought. She noticed the black eyes were foggy, as though he wasn't seeing what was in front of him. She reached up and softly placed a hand on his cheek. Tirgo seemed to snap out of a trance and looked down, noticing her. His eyes softened, and he smiled in a way that made her feel like crying with happiness. "Do you feel better yet?" he asked her.
Fiona didn't know what to say. Was she ready? "I..." she said, not sure what to say next. "I..."
Tirgo's head lowered and they kissed. She looked at his face again. He seemed to be silently urging her on, confident that she could do it. She took a deep breath. "Okay. Let's go," she said with resolve.
She and Tirgo got up and Tirgo started checking his phone again. Fiona steeled herself. She made a pact to become stronger, to be less weak. She had to make it all up to Tirgo, so she would get strong so he didn't have to protect her all the time. Maybe sometime she could be the one protecting him. Fiona went under her bed and grabbed her gray jacket, donning it on top of her teal shirt and blue jeans. From this point forward, she would start acting more like she pretended to be: a badass by the name of Fiona Dark.
Fiona stepped outside, her eyes closed. Slowly, she opened them, taking in everything she could see. As this was Subcon, there wasn't much to see besides empty space and the ground, but it still seemed like too much for her. Regardless, if she were to start becoming stronger, she couldn't be afraid of the outside world. As Tirgo exited Fiona's room, she dropped to her knees and started feeling the ground, investigating the difference between this ground and the one she was used to. Tirgo looked quite bemused and pulled her back to her feet before she did something odder. They set off.
"Where are we going again, Tirgo?" Fiona asked, her eyes half-closed so the sight of the oncoming D-Bridge did not cause her to go into hysterics.
Tirgo took out his phone again and consulted DR's Map. "We're going to DR's place!" he said happily. "DR must know everything about Subcon, he's lived here his whole life."
Fiona glanced at him. "Well, so have I..." she said uncertainly.
"Yes," Tirgo said, confused. "But you haven't ever left your room, so..."
Fiona crossed her arms nervously. "I guess so..." she conceded.
After a few moments, Tirgo casually powered up to his electric form and investigated his pulse.
"What are you doing?" Fiona asked him curiously, stepping onto the D-Bridge (noting that it was indeed solid). "Checking your electricity?"
Tirgo nodded, then powered down. "Yeah! It takes a while to recover. I was just checkin' up on it," he told her.
Fiona continued to look at Tirgo, envisioning the electricity still being there. "How did you learn how to manipulate electricity?" she asked tentatively.
Tirgo thought it over. "Well," he said slowly. "One day, I got an e-mail inviting me to become an Electric Mage. I thought it would just be spam, but I checked it out anyway. I ended up signing up for lessons and my sensei taught me over webcam how to hone my latent electrical power. Eventually, I became good enough to rank up a few times, and now I'm an E-Mage. I probably qualify as an E-Warrior at this point, however."
"Wow..." Fiona said, amazed. "You didn't even have someone to really teach you?"
"No," said Tirgo. "The electricity was with me... or something."
"My sensei told me that everyone is capable of discovering their true potential, and for many people, that means special abilities," he said, scratching his chin. "Special abilities they may never even discover until it is too late."
"Everyone?" Fiona said in alarm. "Even me?"
Tirgo smiled. "Of course!" he said happily. "You're probably very powerful. You just don't know it yet."
Fiona stared at the ground, looking dejected. Tirgo noticed this and looked at her curiously. "What's wrong?" he asked.
Fiona looked up at him. She then grabbed him by the shoulders, stopping them both at the top of the D-Bridge. "Will you teach me how to become an Electric Mage?"
"You want to become an E-Mage?" Tirgo asked Fiona, taken off guard. "I'm not sure if you can--"
"C'mon! Can't you try to teach me something?" she said, shaking him. "I need to become stronger!"
Tirgo looked into her resolved-filled eyes and smiled. "I guess we can try it out," he said.
The both of them stepped off the other side of the D-Bridge and faced each other.
"Okay," Tirgo said, holding his hand out palm-up. "Put your arm like this."
Fiona put her hand out. "Like this?" she asked.
"Yes. But before we go on, let me explain a little bit about commanding electricity," Tirgo said, conjuring a little electricity in his palm. "Electricity is quick and powerful. In order to create electricity, you have to be quick-witted and powerful yourself. You also need to balance your inner energy."
Tirgo closed his hand, causing the bit of electricity to disappear. "If you don't have a balanced energy, the electricity may become uncontrollable and backfire on you. You must be careful to maintain control at all times," he said.
He opened his hand again, and electricity appeared once more in his palm. "Now, Fiona," he began. "See if you can make a spark."
"Huh?" Fiona stared. "How do I do that?"
"Just concentrate," Tirgo said, and closed his hand. He motioned for her to try it too.
Fiona closed her eyes. She tried to concentrate. But what to concentrate on? She tried concentrating on electricity. She was straining, but she couldn't feel anything happening. She instead tried to concentrate on her inner energy, or whatever. That too was not working. She thought of Tirgo making the bolt of lightning. She thought about Tirgo... She could hear his voice...
Fiona opened her eyes. In her palm was a small sparkling bolt of electricity. Her eyes widened. Tirgo gave her a thumbs up.
"Hey, what are you guys doing over there??"
Fiona jumped and her concentration broke instantly. An unfamiliar voice. The electricity disappeared into thin air. She quickly ran to hide behind Tirgo.
A boy was approaching them. He was wearing a plain shirt and a loose-fitting red tie. He also appeared to be wearing a brown fedora slightly too big for his head. He boy had scruffy brown hair and blank, emotionless eyes of the same shade. Fiona used Tirgo as a shield, afraid of the strange fedora-wearing man.
"I knew it! You're electricing over here, aren't you?" the boy said excitedly. "I know that's not Ezrael, because there's two of you and he never leaves his room. Ha ha! Of course."
The boy took out a notepad and started jotting down notes. "Two newcomers!" he said in relief, as though he had been waiting all day for their arrival. "What a time to awaken, right?"
Fiona continued to cower behind Tirgo. There was something off about this kid, she thought. Tirgo looked curious. "You live here? In Subcon?" he asked the boy.
The boy put away his notepad and pen and nodded. "Name's Byron. I've been livin' here my entire life, unlike you weirdos," he said. "Who are you anyway?"
"I'm Tirgo and this is my gi-" Tirgo began. He grabbed Fiona and pulled her to be in front of him, where she stood shaking. "And this is my girlfriend, Fiona."
Byron touched his face thoughtfully. "Mind if I get a closer look?" he asked.
Tirgo didn't know what to say. He and Fiona shared a confused look. "Um, sure?" Tirgo said heisitantly. "As long as you don't take pictures or something..."
Byron laughed and walked over to them. He came to be face-to-face with Fiona, who stared into his blank eyes. Byron reached his hands up and Fiona screeched, backing away to hide behind Tirgo again.
"Ha ha, what?" Byron said, trying to hold where Fiona's face was. "Did you move or something?"
Tirgo blinked. "Are you... blind?" he said.
Byron turned his face in Tirgo's direction and smiled. "And I thought I was the detective. Hey, you tell me," he said sarcastically. "Do my eyes look functional to you?"
Tirgo looked into Byron's eyes. They were completely devoid of life. "Oh... I'm sorry..." Tirgo said, suddenly feeling ashamed.
Byron lowered his hands. After a few seconds, Tirgo said, "Um... you can feel my face if you want..."
Tirgo immediately regretted saying this after having a blind boy feel every centimeter of his face rigorously for a few seconds. Byron looked at him with what seemed like awe. "Wow, you're not very attractive, kid," he told Tirgo. Tirgo regretted it even more.
Fiona seemed to steel herself and stepped forward to have her face felt too. Byron didn't seem to be interested anymore, however. "So, where're you guys headed?" he asked Tirgo's chest.
"We're going to DR's place," Tirgo said, pulling out his phone to check the awful map again. "I think it's on this 'Star'..."
"Oh, yeah," Byron said. "It's right around the corner! I'll take you there!" And he set off.
Tirgo and Fiona stood there staring after him for a few seconds. Byron stopped and looked back at the area slightly to their left. "Hey, come on and follow me. It'll be cool," he said, and continued onward.
Fiona looked timidly at Tirgo, then suddenly tried to look tough and marched off after Byron. Tirgo shrugged and followed the both of them.
Byron marched ahead of Tirgo and Fiona, walking vaguely in the direction of the nearest house. Fiona, who at first tried walking confidently ahead of everyone else, got timid again and went to go hold Tirgo's hand and hide slightly behind him instead. Byron still believed her to be ahead of him and thus slowed down a little so they would not collide. Tirgo felt rather awkward. This was easy to ignore with Fiona's chest being held up to his arm.
Byron stopped in front of the house and turned around. "Here's the place," he said proudly. "Ezrael will be very glad to have guests."
Tirgo and Fiona went to go inside, but stopped when Byron did not follow. "Aren't you coming with?", Tirgo asked.
"Oh, no," Byron said, waving him off. "I have very important cases to attend to."
And he walked away, looking at his notepad. Once he was far enough away, he started giggling and put the notepad away. Tirgo and Fiona looked at each other and shrugged. Tirgo opened the door.
DR's room was larger than any of the rooms Tirgo had entered before. It was also very dark. The room seemed to be twice as large as Tirgo's room had been, with a secondary "square" in the middle the size of a regular room. The outside wall portion seemed to be used for storage. Tirgo turned on his electricity to look around. There were a lot of what looked like broken computers and miscellaneous parts. There were cords leading everywhere from the inner room. Fiona made brief attempts to make a bit of electricity for herself, but ultimately failed and merely pouted silently. Tirgo and Fiona scaled the outer wall (almost tripping over all the useless junk) until they reached a door leading into the inner room. Tirgo knocked. He heard an indistinct voice call and went to open the door, but Fiona stopped him.
Fiona looked up into his eyes. "Umm... D-Do you mind if I stay out here?" she asked, trying to not look pitiful. "Y'know... as backup?"
Tirgo smiled and ruffled her hair in a manner designed to annoy any other female. "Okay," he told her. "I shouldn't be too long."
Tirgo entered the room alone. This room was lit up extensively with numerous amounts of computer screens. He marveled at all the strange devices until a voice spoke up from the chair in the middle of the room.
"Thomas Jefferson, alias Tirgo," said the figure, who got out of their chair to greet Tirgo. "Nice to finally meet someone other than Lind."
"You're dystopicRebel?", Tirgo asked.
"Yes," DR said. "The name's Ezrael Disforique."
Ezrael looked nothing like how Tirgo had expected. The androgynous male had extremely long, shaggy deep purple hair completely covering their eyes and looked rather thin. Ezrael was slightly taller than Tirgo was and was wearing a shirt that looked as though it had been stitched by hand, albeit well. He had a soft, happy looking face which seemed to usually hold a smile, which it did now. His skin was extremely pale, even paler than Tirgo's. As Tirgo shook Ezrael's hand, he couldn't help but notice the rather weak grip, as well.
Ezrael, seeing his greeting as over, sank back into his swivel chair and swung over to one of the monitors, typing at a keyboard. Tirgo didn't know what to say. As he was thinking it over, Ezrael spoke. "I suppose you're here primarily because you don't know what's going on," he said bluntly.
Tirgo blinked. "Well," he said heisitantly. "Yeah, I have no clue."
Ezrael swiveled over to the opposite wall and typed at another keyboard. "Why don't you tell me what you've been up to," he said comfortably. "I'm sure you've been busy ever since you awoke."
Tirgo creased his eyes. "I bet you mean that symbolically," he said wittily.
"Yes," Ezrael conceded. "I don't mean when you woke up in that girl's bed, but that is important too."
"Why do you want me to tell you what I've been doing?" Tirgo asked nervously.
Ezrael turned their head towards him. "It's important to my plans to know what you're been doing since you first saw them," he said mysteriously.
Here's the next batch of Tirgostuck. I think I will actually do some edits to the story as it is, I won't, like, rewrite anything, but there are a couple things (such as Kaoru speaking Japanese) that aren't consistently done, so I'd like to see those fixed. Recovery process hasn't really been worked on, but I'll get to work on it sometime.
A shadow streaked the ground, heading in the direction of the door. Shortly thereafter, the door opened, and a creature entered. Taking the bridge was no difficulty for the monster, as shadow energies allowed it to fly. The squiggly space sensed her presence and took note. There would be no secrets in this world. Soon enough, the creep came upon the bedroom door and entered.
Kaoru was sitting in Tirgo's impossibly shitty computer chair, typing on the computer. She looked up at Rin's entrance. She muttered something in Japanese and got back to her work. Rin let herself in and looked over Kaoru's shoulder at what she was up to. Rin didn't quite understand Japanese, so the screen informed her of nothing. "I learned a couple things," she told Kaoru, who she knew could not understand what she was saying.
Rin conjured herself a shadow chair near the desk and sat in it, pondering. "The red one is not working of his own accord. He is being controlled by another," she mused, taking a pause to glance at Kaoru's uninterested face. "There aren't many in the World. The suspects list is limited."
She conjured a notebook and started doodling. "Miss Dark..." she said while drawing a scribble of Fiona's face. "She cannot be the mastermind. It would be too..."
Rin paused. "Unlikely. Unlikely," she concluded, going on to doodle a man with long hair covering his eyes and a man wearing a hat. "I am not sure about the others."
Rin crumpled up the paper and threw it aside. She started doodling on the next page. "Further investigation will be required," she said, scribbling a circle with a question mark over it and a woman's face. "Needless to say, the madman will be captured. He will then be subjected to my torturous shadowy energy. He will pay for messing with my brother."
Rin folded her arms and glanced at Kaoru over the top of her shades. "Anyway. I have not yet been able to determine the purpose of the many houses scattered around the World," she said, throwing the notebook aside and causing it to dissipate upon itself. "Most of them appear to be locked, for whatever purpose."
"Urusai," Kaoru said absentmindedly. "Boku no yōna josei wa, ko no subete o shitte iru."
Rin took off her shades and started cleaning them absentmindedly with a shadow cloth. "As usual, you are no help. I believed when I recruited you that you would be of some help figuring out this place's mysteries," she said. "Unfortunately, you are content with messing around on that computer, doing little of use. I hope you know that the internet is most likely only a illusion created by the World."
"Anata ga itte iru ka o kinishinaide kudasai," Kaoru said in a slightly edgy voice.
Rin took another look at the computer. Kaoru was looking through Tirgo's emails. She shot a look of anger at Kaoru, then slid towards the door.
"Dokoikuno?" Kaoru asked, not taking her eyes off the computer.
Rin glanced at Kaoru again, then left.
devyn stared off the edge of the star. There was an infinite amount of emptiness in front of him. He knew that there was nothing beyond the stars. If one flew in that direction, they would eventually rediscover the stars, having looped completely around Subcon. There was nothing to this world other than the six stars and the great door leading to Tirgo's room. Subcon was a small place. devyn edged closer to the side of the star and looked down. There was nothing but the ground infinitely flowing down to the depths of space. If he fell, would he fall forever? Would he eventually fall from the sky, having made a cycle around reality?
devyn stood on the very tip of the star, his eyes calm behind the brilliantly red triangular sunglasses. Fog seemed to begin flowing into view. He thought about what it would be like to fall forever. Would he eventually be destroyed by the velocity? Perhaps he would just fall at the same rate forever. Maybe it would be comforting to fall for eternity, to constantly be moving but never have anywhere to go. He closed his eyes. It would be so easy to stumble, to trip into the abyss. What lurked on the other side? devyn's foot slowly moved forward. He wouldn't have to feel again, if he wanted.
A hand grabbed his arm and pulled him back. devyn opened his eyes and became face-to-face with his brother. "I wouldn't play around by the cliffs, devyn," said Falcon, grinning, his giant buglike eyes glinting maliciously.
Falcon threw devyn to the ground. "It appears that we have more complications. The third star's occupant has finally awoken," he said. "Leave it to me. You're completely worthless."
He ruffled through his green trench coat and took out a picture, tossing it for devyn to catch. "You have a new purpose," he said, turning away already. "Find them and kill them. This is your last chance, Blade."
Falcon walked away, fading into the fog. Seconds later, the fog had dissipated.
devyn laid on the ground. He wasn't in any hurry. After a few minutes, he held up the photo Falcon had thrown him so he could see what was on it.
He immediately sat up.
The photo depicted a monster wearing a pink hat and familiar-looking broken black shades.
"The e-mails from Prin Pardus."
Tirgo stared blankly at Ezrael's mass of hair. "The e-mails... from what?"
Ezrael's expression didn't change whatsoever. "Oh, nothing. Just testing a theory," Ezrael said, swiveling his chair over to another keyboard and typing in a language Tirgo did not understand. "Anyway, what have you been up to since you left your room?"
Tirgo hesitated. Could this Ezrael guy be trusted? "Why are you so interested in my life, anyway?" Tirgo interrogated. "What does it matter to you?"
Ezrael stopped typing and looked in Tirgo's direction again. "Do you know anything about where we are?" Ezrael asked him.
After a few seconds, Tirgo shook his head.
"You've probably already figured this out, but right now we are in the world of Subcon," Ezrael said, swiveling to another computer. "Subcon being a world mostly composed of giant islands and seemingly empty space. Do you know anything about Earth."
Tirgo thought this over. "Earth is where we are, right? Although I'm not sure what happened to all the trees and animals and seas and stuff..." Tirgo mused, rubbing his chin.
"Subcon and Earth are completely different, as you may have noticed. Earth has large seas, hills, mountains, volcanos, cities, life. Subcon is abstract and bizarre," Ezrael went on, typing simultaneously. "From a scientific standpoint, Subcon makes no sense. To put it simply, the rules of this world are completely unlike those on Earth."
"What I'm trying to do here," Ezrael went on. "is to try and figure out what Subcon is. That's where you come in."
"So," Tirgo said, pacing the room. "We're supposed to be on Earth, but we're on Subcon instead, and you don't know why we're here or what Subcon is?"
"Yes," Ezrael said. "That's pretty much it."
The door creaked open. An extra shadow joined the legions of shade covering the walls.
Rin investigated the room. There was nothing distinguishable about it whatsoever. The room was completely pitch-black, but what was worse, there appeared to literally be nothing inside the room. Rin focused her shadow energy. The room was quite large, but featureless. The walls and floor had no texture to speak of. There was nothing inside except a door leading outside. Rin wandered around the room, feeling around for furniture. Finally, she conceded. This was a room with nothing in it. A room that purely represented nothing. Now she understood the sign outside reading "Shadows Room". She rolled her eyes behind her broken shades and went for the door.
The door was now missing.
Rin scowled, baring her sharp teeth. Was she trapped in here?
Rin continued feeling around the room using her shadows. The room seemed to be somehow changing shape. The walls were becoming abstract, perhaps even disappearing. If only I could light this place up, thought Rin absentmindedly. Soon, her shadows couldn't feel anything. She felt as though she were ceasing to exist as well, fading into the shadows of the room.
Rin closed her eyes and thought. Was there anything she could do? She started feeling around for walls but found none where they once where, instead finding empty space. The darkness seemed to be converging on her. She began breathing heavily. Surely she wasn't afraid of the dark. She spent her entire life shadowed in darkness. This wasn't your average every day darkness. This was advanced darkness.
Rin began thinking fast. Surely there was some way of solving this issue. She shouted out, but nothing came out of her mouth. She felt trapped. She had to do something. She couldn't be sucked away into this vortex of shadow. She wouldn't allow it. She could create shadows. She was shadows.
Perhaps she could take away shadows?
Rin focused on the shadows surrounding her, remembering her ability to hone her shadows into a small, humanlike body. She concentrated heavily on that. She strained, forcing her eyes shut while she tried as hard as possible to escape from the darkness. She opened her eyes.
The door had reappeared. The room had regained its shape.
Rin ran to the door and opened it, collapsing onto the ground outside the room, choking, frantically trying to breathe air. After a few minutes, she calmed down. She sat up and took from her torso a shadowed notepad. She began writing.
"Do not go into the Shadow Room."
Quote: We should go to the Weird Place and continue to look for other Weird Places
The scene was almost completely silent. Nobody was around. Normally, two dames would be lurking in their rooms on this star, awaiting the day where everything changes. Now, however, there was absolutely nobody around. There was a corpse of one of the aforementioned dames, but otherwise the star was completely uninhabited. Said corpse used to have two rooms to her name, a normal Room as well as a Lab, where they often attempted to invent things to benefit the citizens of the planet. Unfortunately, she is dead. That didn't stop being a thing that happened or anything.
The third room on the star once belonged to the young Fiona Dark, who spent every day of her sad, pathetic life sitting and waiting for her knight to appear and sweep her away. She originally thought that this knight would be red-clad, but the knight in question turned out to be a dumb fuck with the name of a U.S. President. From that day, her life would be forever changed, mostly since she would spend much of her time being hunted and attacked by random weirdos.
Astute readers would notice that this star, like most of the other stars, also housed a fourth room. This room had only been noticed by the hilariously named Ezrael Disforique, who marked the room's existence in the work of art known as "Ezrael's Map of Subcon". Said art would later be hung up in a national museum because of its complete inability to look fucking stupid. This fourth room, which we have been commanded to enter, is known as the Moodswing Room.
The Moodswing room spent this particular day like most of its other days, quiet and unvisited. Not many have ever set foot into the legendary depths of the Moodswing Room, mostly due to its complete lack of interesting attributes to the villainous population. Only one man has been known to have entered the room, a man we know now as the hilariously named Ezrael Disforique. Yes, him again. He's still existing here. All we currently know about his trip to the room is that single note: "A Weird Place". How weird was it? Is it truly bizarre? What dangers and confusions exist inside the room? Nobody can tell except for that hilariously named individual.
That's all to speak of on the matter.
After writing the note to herself, Rin allowed herself to go limp and lay on the ground, panting. She would have never thought that a room composed of shadows would ever have any danger value to a monster such as herself. That's what she was, after all. A monster. She had hoped that she could use her powers in some way beneficial, but perhaps that was not possible. She laid there for a while, listening to the silence of the stars, the idle wind. She took out a new phone.

RA: Yeah RA: Sort of devyn: It's not what I would choose to do. devyn: I think we are different sorts of monsters, though. RA: I guess devyn: Well, I think I will have to cut this conversation short. RA: Oh RA: Why devyn: I have just spotted my next target. devyn: I'm sorry.

Rin sighed. She now noticed the red-clad man standing atop the Shadows Room.
END OF ACT 3
Byron was staring intently though his magnifying glass. Visible though it was the ground. Nothing seemed to be very interesting about the ground. As he stared through the magnifying glass, he occasionally put it away so he could take a note on his notepad, whereupon he would take it out again and resume the investigation. Byron is still blind. That's still true.
After about five minutes of investigation, Byron resumed his note taking and started talking to himself. "A beautiful specimen indeed," he mused. "The science museum would likely pay several thousand dollars for this most prized artifact."
Byron slyly looked around. Of course, there was nothing around except for the nearby Defense Room. Once he was certain that there was no one around to impede on his investigation, his demeanor suddenly turned cold. "Of course, this is no ordinary starfish," he whispered dramatically. "This was stolen. Stolen."
He loosened his tie. "And I know who might have done it. But I need more research."
Byron walked over to the Defense Room and felt an outside wall. "Yes," he said slowly. "But surely not?"
He began to take notes as he went on. "Sweet, sweet Charlene. She," he said dramatically. "must be the perpetrator of this crime."
He walked back over to the empty space where he was and looked out into space. He looked completely distraught. "Charlene. The woman of my dreams. The girl I fell in love with, all those nights ago," he said, pretending to light a cigarette. "Who would have known that you were capable of such deeds."
He made a motion like throwing his cigarette on the ground and crushing it. "Charlene," he said dramatically. "I'm sorry."
He pulled his hat down so it covered his eyes as he looked down at the ground. A tear slowly etched its way down his face from his empty eye. He used his tie to wipe the tear.
He pushed his hat up and suddenly looked as though nothing had happened at all. "Must pursue the next case," he said, wandering over to Ezrael's Room, notepad in hand and a grin on his face.
Suddenly, he stopped, concentrating. He turned his head slightly. There was someone approaching him.
Kaoru glanced around Tirgo's room. She hadn't really thought about it before, but this was where Tirgo had spent a good part of his life. As she was looking, she got distracted by the pain of sitting on Tirgo's impossibly shitty desk chair and had to adjust herself again. Her light blue hair no longer had a bun in it, as she was allowing it to do whatever it wanted now. It didn't matter much. On the wall next to the computer was a slowly swivelling gap of shadows, created by Rin to annihilate something on the wall. Whatever it was, it didn't matter and nobody should have ever cared about it. She noticed that Tirgo also appeared to have a poster of a door. For what purpose, she was not sure. She thought that the room's design was very odd and not very well thought out.
Her eyes snapped back to the computer screen. She was supposed to be working. At the current, Kaoru was trying to use Tirgo's computer to somehow figure out more about what Rin called the "World". Unfortunately, there was not a lot of progress being made. As she suspected, the internet was being monitored by the enemy and looking up anything related to information led her on a long snipe hunt which inevitably ended up telling her nothing. She sighed. Being mission control was difficult and annoying. Her phone's screen lit up and she glanced at it. Who could be messaging her? It was most likely Rin. Her eyes widened. This wasn't Rin.

Kaoru was absorbed in her conversation and did not notice the door open.
TA: I'm not sure about that. TA: I don't want to interact with that Dark woman.
Suddenly, Kaoru felt something. Shadows were entering the room. Looks like somebody's sister just got back.
TA: Oh, your sister is here now. ET: really? TA: Yeah, she just came in.
Kaoru kept her cool, continuing to type on her phone, pretending to act aloof. Hopefully, Rin would get the message and leave her alone. She felt a shadow touch her arm and jumped. "僕触れないでください！", she shouted, jumping back and preparing to strike at Rin.
Her eyes widened a second time. This wasn't Rin either.
Fiona looked around Ezrael's "outer room". This area alone was quite a bit larger than her own room. She remembered that she had little space not dedicated to her bed. She walked over to a pile of broken computer monitors and sighed. Why did this weird guy get so much better off than her? She never got to have computers or anything, she had been stuck with her phone and a small amount of clothing for the past three years. Before those three years, she wasn't sure what her life was like. She didn't have any childhood memories.
Fiona closed her eyes. Maybe while she was standing here, she could try doing some electricity-mage things. Tentatively, she put her hand palm-up in front of her and concentrated. After a few seconds, she opened her eyes. Her hand was sadly devoid of electricity. She closed her eyes again and tried to concentrate as hard as she could to create a spark. She slowly opened one eye. Her hand was empty. She closed her fist in a huff. It wasn't possible. She needed Tirgo's encouragement to do it. The thought of that made her angry.
Tentatively, she put an ear to the wall in an attempt to listen in to Tirgo and Ezrael's conversation. She deflated upon realizing that the wall was inches of iron, specifically designed to soundproof and protect the inner chamber. This Ezrael guy sure was eccentric. She bent down and took a look at a random jumble of broken-looking devices. These all looked like things that Ezrael had built himself. None of them appeared to work properly. Some were broken open, splaying their wires all over. Others had broken screens, some of which displayed a faint light or a jumbled collection of letters and symbols.
Fiona picked up one of the devices and investigated it. It looked like a 2001-era cell phone with they keys having been removed and replaced with a single large button. The screen was flickering a light pink color and "DTCRB.30" was displayed upon it. Fiona pressed the button. The screen completely turned off, but after a few seconds, it lit back up with a dark blue color instead. The dark blue color then wavered and was replaced with an orange color. Fiona stared at the screen, wondering what it meant. After a few seconds, a bang erupted from the device, causing Fiona to jump and drop it, where it broke apart on the floor, splaying its wires between the two halves. Fiona scratched her head, then threw the device back into the jumble of useless junk.
Fiona sat on the ground and looked up at the cieling. What were Tirgo and Ezrael talking about in there? Maybe Ezrael would want to join them in their quest to do... something. Or maybe Tirgo was asking for Ezrael to make them some kind of device. Or maybe they were making out. Fiona shook her head violently. Of course they wouldn't be making out! Why would they be making out? Tirgo wouldn't cheat on her with such a strange person. Right?
Or would it even be cheating? The two of them had only been a couple for not even a full day, and the farthest they had gotten was kissing. Well, Tirgo was her boyfriend anyway, no matter how much had happened. They love each other. Don't they? Fiona was sure she was in love, but... She hadn't ever had such feelings before, so it must be love. It couldn't be something like fear or hunger. That was for sure. But did Tirgo like her too? Yes. That was certain. I mean, they held hands all night, and kissed several times, and... well, how much of that could be because of her? Fiona hugged her legs. Maybe Tirgo didn't even like her, but didn't want to hurt her feelings. That wasn't true. She was a nuisance, wasn't she? No, she wasn't. Maybe Tirgo was only bringing her along because he pitied her. Who wouldn't? She was worthless.
Fiona stood up, looking determined. No way. She was Fiona Dark, the most badass lady to ever hit the stars of Subcon. That was the image she put up for most of her life, so that was who she really was inside. She just had to get stronger and more confident so she could fit who she really was. That's the way. Fiona sat down again, looking pleased with herself. She was going to be the most useful girlfriend of all time.
Feeling cocky, she put out her hand and closed her eyes, concentrating hard. She opened her eye a sliver. Her eye widened. She had a spark going! She would train as hard as she could from now on!
Fiona took this opportunity to officially become an E-Mage, thus gaining the title "Electric Trainee" in the process.
Rin rolled over and raised herself, desperately trying to get up. As she did so, she heard devyn's feet land onto the ground behind her. She growled. This was just about the worst time possible to have to fight. She had never felt this weak. She utilized a burst of shadow to fling herself to standing and turned to face her attacker. devyn's face was neutral, but hid signs of anguish. They stared each other down. Suddenly, Rin noticed something odd about her body and looked down. The entourage of shadows she usually brought along with her were weakened to the point where the shadows keeping the rest of her body standing were thin. She did not have much excess shadow to work with. She bared her spiked teeth. She knew devyn would not be able to control himself this time. As she looked up, she was just able to see the green light coming from devyn's shades before they disappeared and he began powering up, bringing with it a torrent of flames.
"Fuck this," she said, flying away as fast as she could. She figured that she had at least half a minute before devyn's stupid powerup finished. Plenty of time to make an escape.
Much to her surprise, devyn abruptly stopped powering up and also revealed that he had the power of flight. Of course he could fly. Why wouldn't he be able to fly? devyn came careening towards her much faster than she could evade him. His green shades shone violently through the starry night, cloaking her in a bright light. 'Of course,' she thought angrily. 'Now I can't even fade into the shadows.'
Rin took a dive, heading towards the nearest star. Several buildings flew quickly into view. 'There's an idea,' she thought, craning her head to see where devyn was. devyn was hot on her tail. If anything, he should have already caught her. Rin supposed that he was just messing with her. She scowled and tried to speed up. Rin crashlanded, flopping pathetically on the floor, her shadow energy dissipating a little from the damage. She struggled to get back to standing just as devyn touched down nearby, walking towards her maliciously. Rin decided not to stick around and see what he wanted. Rin slid towards the blue house, but it wasn't close enough. devyn was going to catch up. She needed to pull out the desperate measures.
Quickly, the shadows forming Rin's body began spreading, surrounding her. devyn jumped forward, but when he attacked, he merely hit shadows. Rin had disappeared behind the veil of darkness. devyn plunged into the shadow, but found that it pushed him back. Rin, now sporting a dangerously low amount of shadow, was sliding as fast as possible towards the blue house, but she was still slow. After a couple well placed fire attacks, the shadow became damaged enough for devyn to make it through. Rin grinned. She would make it. She slammed both of her fists onto the door of the house repeatedly.
Knock knock! Knock knock!
Knock knock! Knock! Knock!
She grabbed for the doorknob and the door flew open. Fiona's room was visible inside. "No," she said in despair. "He's not here!" She whipped around. devyn was running towards her. He would be there in seconds. Rin leapt into the room and closed and locked the door using what shadow she had left. Rin sighed. At least she was safe in here.
The door began to melt.
Rin, no longer able to stand, desperately backpedaled away from the door and hit the opposite wall. devyn's arm erupted from the door and with a single motion, the door lay broken on the floor. devyn stepped inside, his eyes lit up with light green fury. He had no expression on his face whatsoever. devyn searched the room for any more interruptions, then turned his gaze once more upon Rin. When he spoke, it was with Falcon's voice.
"Today, the darkness will fall upon you, Rin Ardus," he said maliciously, his face contorting into a horrifying, manic smile.
Rin took off her shades and stared at him with her brilliantly blue eyes. She stared at him with something resembling pity. "You are nothing but a plaything for your master. You're pathetic."
Falcon smiled even wider. "I am programmed only to kill stupid little kids like you," he said. He seemed to get a thought. "Don't worry, I'll make sure your 'brother' gets the same treatment."
Rin's eyes bulged with fury, but before she could respond, Falcon struck. Rin couldn't make a sound. The shadows all disappeared. All that was left was a pair of battered shades and a pink hat. Falcon picked up the shades and put them on, smirking. Although Falcon couldn't understand why, tears were falling from his eyes.
Kaoru was stunned. She didn't recognize the man standing before her, but she knew that it was not Rin. The man was bald, with bizarre bug-like shades on. His chest appeared to have a panel on it. He was surrounded by green shadows emenating from his body. He was grinning widely. "And here she is, the woman of the hour!" he cackled.
Kaoru didn't understand his words, but understood that he was a threat. She powered up, her usually straight hair curving as wind power surged through her body. A blue glow enveloped her. The green man continued to smile, as though she were no threat whatsoever. Kaoru prepared to strike, her eyes wild. "Don't you realize who I am by now, Maeda?" he said mockingly. Kaoru heisitated. She had heard her own name in his words. Who was this man? She listed all the people she knew lived in Subcon in her head. She scowled. "Farukon Burēdo," she growled.
Falcon clapped his hands happily. "She knows who I am!" he said teasingly. "What a smart lass!" As he lowered his hands, the shadows suddenly sprang from his side and seized Kaoru's arms, pinning her against the wall. Kaoru shouted in surprise and began struggling against the shadows. Despite her increased strength, the shadows kept her quite steady. "You know, it's not often that I come out of my hiding to do the dirty work myself," he mused, watching her struggle. "But I figured that I may as well taste blood for myself for once." Kaoru glanced at the door, hoping that someone would bust in and save her. This was just about the time that someone would appear in an anime. Kaoru shut her eyes. This wasn't an anime.
The door swung open and Kaoru opened her eyes. Maybe her life really was an anime.
More Tirgostuck. This is the final batch that comes from this text file I compiled a few years ago when this was the most recent part of Tirgostuck. Following this is the Dead Zone where I'm not sure how much there is out there. I guess I'll take a look into it sometime around when I start caring again. I haven't made any big changes to any of this stuff yet, although the colors aren't put in from the original and I've corrected a few misspelled words. Reading some of this stuff really frustrates me, since I would have written it differently had I known then what I know now. I'd do a lot of rewrites if I let myself, so I think it would be better if I didn't get started on that. There's some character differences between the original writing and later on, which probably seems logical since I wrote this over the course of several years. I won't be making any real changes to what I have written, painful as that is, so a couple character discrepancies and plot holes and slight retcons will stay in. Rather than change the story as it is and keep some stuff, I'd probably rather completely rewrite Tirgostuck from the ground up, and right now, I'm not inspired to do that.
Fiona smiled from ear to ear and clapped her hands together. "Oh, Tirgo! You weren't here, but I did it!" she said excitedly. "I made a spark! Plus, I became an E-Trainee, whatever that means."
Tirgo looked jubilant. "Really?" he said. "That's great! At this rate, you'll be an Electric Pupil in no time!"
Fiona put her hands into Tirgo's scruffy hair and moved close for a kiss, her eyes shining with electricity. Tirgo was beginning to notice that Fiona was a very touchy-feely person. She sure liked to touch him. Maybe, Tirgo thought, it was because he was the first human she had ever met in person. Tirgo let those thoughts drift away as their lips touched. This could happen as many times as she wanted.
The sound of laughter made Fiona jump and break off all contact. The man with the purple hair had entered the outer wall, grinning wildly as usual. "I see, so this is Fiona," Ezrael said, grinning and putting a hand up to cradle his chin. "Did you say you were an E-Mage? I didn't know anyone else but Tirgo could do it."
"Of course others can do it," Tirgo said, turning to him. "Everything I know came off E-Mage groups on the Internet, after all."
Ezrael shined another mischievous smile. Fiona grabbed hold of Tirgo's arm and pulled herself close. Perhaps Ezrael frightened her. Tirgo had to admit, when he first met Ezrael, he seemed rather strange and creepy. But all in all, he was a pretty neat guy. "Maybe it is due to the bond that you share that she can obtain your abilities," Ezrael said mysteriously. "I don't doubt her finding her own power one day, though."
Tirgo considered this. Ezrael had discussed this, the possibility that everyone had a specific ability unique to them. It seemed strange. But if that were the truth, how could Fiona have made a spark? He looked over at Fiona. Fiona seemed to be both embarassed and frightened. Oh, right, it wasn't just Ezrael that she was afraid of. She didn't seem to like anyone except him. Tirgo shrugged. "I'll keep in touch, Ezrael," Tirgo said. "I'll go get Byron and head out."
Ezrael gave him another grin. "Whatever you do, don't try to go inside devyn's house," he said. "I've outfitted it with several deadly traps."
Tirgo didn't know what to think of this, so he just bowed and left. Ezrael did not return the bow, possibly because he wasn't Japanese. Come to think of it, neither was Tirgo. Stupid Japanese etiquette lessons from Kaoru. Hey, speaking of Kaoru... Tirgo took out his phone.

"Hey, Tirgo," Fiona said tentatively. "Where are we going now, exactly?"
Tirgo opened the front door of Ezrael's Room and held it open for her. "We're just gonna have a look around, research the world and such," he said. "Byron'll be coming with too."
Fiona giggled as she walked through the open door but pouted upon hearing of Byron's presence. "Byron?" she said. "But isn't he kind of..."
"Kind of what, doll?" Byron himself said, walking up to the two of them, notepad and pen in hand.
Fiona immediately cowered behind Tirgo's back again. Tirgo rolled his eyes and gently pulled her so she would at least stand next to him. She took to clinging to his side instead of his back. "Oh, she was just about to talk about how cool you are!" Tirgo said. "Weren't you going to say that, hun?"
Fiona shook her head slowly. Tirgo grabbed her hair and lightly pulled it, making her wince. "Yeah, uh, you're cool, I guess," Fiona said nervously. "Super neat."
Byron tipped his hat. "Just doing my job, m'am," he said. "It's the constant work of PIs like me that keep the balance of the world."
"Tirgo, I suppose Ezrael told you about the mission," Byron said.
Tirgo blinked, petting Fiona's hair absentmindedly to make up for pulling it earlier. "How did you know?" he said. "I was supposed to just tell you about that."
"Oh, please," Byron said, shrugging confidently. "I am an investigator. I know all."
Fiona edged closer to Byron, taking in his features. "Are you a good person?" she asked. "If we're going to be traveling together, I'd rather not be afraid of you."
Byron smiled, then walked over to her and put a hand on the top of her head. After a couple seconds, he then moved his hand over to her shoulder instead, apparently having made a mistake. "Tirgo's SO, I'm what people call a man-for-hire," he said. "I am indebted to help Tirgo in his quest since I have loyalty to the man guiding him. So I wouldn't want to kill either of you, as it would offend my friend. Get it?"
Fiona didn't quite get it at all, but seemed to accept this. "So, you're like a bodyguard?" she asked. "Alright, I don't even need you! Just keep your distance, buddy!"
She gave a thumbs up to Tirgo, who rolled his eyes. He supposed that Fiona thought that speaking to a blind man meant she could regain her former swagger. "Hey, chill out, doll," Byron said happily. "Can I feel your face? I like doing blind things."
Fiona freely offered her face and allowed Byron to run his hands over it. Tirgo noted that Byron was being a lot gentler with her than he had with him. Byron backed away after a few seconds. "You're unattractive, too," he said, smiling. "You two deserve each other."
Fiona punched him in the mouth.
Tirgo took out his phone and started fooling around with a paint app. After a while, he had finished a new map of Subcon based on his own observations and Ezrael's map. "What's that?" Fiona asked, wrapping her arms around his chest from behind. "Some kind of map?"
Tirgo was surprised about the intimate contact and glanced nervously at Byron. Of course, Byron didn't notice anything out of the ordinary and continued jotting notes, smiling like a maniac. Tirgo gently took Fiona's arms off of him and turned around to face her. She then took to hugging him instead. Tirgo rolled his eyes, smiling. "Yes, it's a map. I based it off Ezrael's impossibly shitty map of Subcon," he said. "We'll use this to look around Subcon and see what the purpose is of this place."
"An investigation, I see," Byron said, looking slightly to the left of Tirgo. "Excellent. Let's get going already."
Tirgo consulted his new map. "Hmm, so..." he murmured. "The first place we should check out is the 'Defense Room'. It's not too far from here. It's on this star, too."
The three of them started walking, Byron leading the way, strutting confidently. As Tirgo rubbed his thumb across the back of Fiona's hand with his left, he decided to use his right to partake in his favorite walking hobby: chatting with his friends. Tirgo clicked to start a new conversation.

Tirgo threw his phone as hard as he could against the ground, surprising Byron and causing Fiona to flinch terribly. "No!" he shouted, looking around wildly, looking for any direction that would lead him to his sister. "No! Rin!"
He craved to run away, to find her, but he was stopped by the presence of Fiona. He needed to protect Fiona. He could not leave her alone. "Byron, go back to Ezrael's!" he commanded, bewildering his companions. "Fiona, you're coming with me."
Tirgo powered up, linking back into his E-Warrior form. He noticed that since the rank-up, he had acquired a cape. It didn't matter much at the moment. Taking Fiona by surprise again, he swept her into his arms, nodded at Byron, and took off, flying up so he could take a look around. "Tirgo," Fiona cried. "Tirgo, what happened??"
Tirgo glanced into her eyes and immediately wished he had not. She looked both fearful and concerned, as though frightened he might attack her. "Fiona, my sister..." he said, looking away so he would not cry. "devyn said something about Rin... I want to see if she's alright."
Fiona wrapped her arms around him and got close, forcing Tirgo to look at her again. "I... you helped me before, Tirgo," she said, trying to look tough. "Let me help you... we'll get to the bottom of this."
Tirgo gave a weak smile and sent a tiny shock through her body, making her squeak. "Thank you, Fiona," he said. "Let's do it."
Tirgo flew straight toward the giant golden door leading to his house. He would begin the search there.
The door swung open. Tirgo's eyes scanned every inch of his room, panicked. He felt a sinking feeling. There was nobody in here.
Tirgo deposited Fiona back onto the ground and walked over to the interrobang poster on the wall. There could be no way. Rin would never be killed by someone like devyn. It was impossible. He heard a clicking behind him and swivelled around. To his disappointment, it was just Fiona, turning on his computer monitor. He walked over to her.
"She's not here," Tirgo said. "We've got to keep looking."
Fiona looked up at him, her eyes fearful again. Nervously, she looked at the ground. "Umm... Tirgo..." she said. "About your sister..."
Tirgo grabbed her shoulders, causing her head to snap back up. "What about my sister??" he said. "Did you find something??"
Fiona glanced around, fidgeting. "Well, no, but..." she mumbled. "Rin... What is she?"
Tirgo didn't seem to understand the question. "What do you mean?" he asked.
"Well, um... She's kind of..." Fiona said, trying to not look at Tirgo's face. "Isn't it kind of, erm, weird?"
She glanced back up at Tirgo and was taken aback by his intense expression. "What exactly is weird about Rin?" he asked in a quiet voice. He sounded almost threatening.
"Ummm... Nevermind," Fiona said, moving to get Tirgo's hands off her shoulders. "It's nothing."
Tirgo redoubled his grip, making her wince. "No, what is it, Fiona?" he growled. "What is weird about my sister?"
Fiona's eyes watered. Tirgo was scaring her now. "Tirgo, you're hurting me," Fiona trembled. "I'm sorry..."
Tirgo's intense expression faded and he slowly took his hands off her shoulders. "Fiona, I..." he said, mortified. "I'm sorry, no, please... It's just..."
Tirgo sighed and ran his hand through his hair, looking regretful. He tentatively hovered his hands near her arms, asking permission to touch her. After a couple seconds, Fiona nodded. Tirgo pulled her into a gentle hug. "I'm sorry," he said quietly into her ear. "I won't ever hurt you again."
Fiona sniffed into his shoulder. "I know," she said.
The sound of the door opening. Tirgo quickly broke the hug and snapped his head wildly toward the doorway. His eyes widened. He looked back at Fiona, who was staring at the doorway too, looking shocked, tears still in her eyes. "Back away," Tirgo said coldly.
Tirgo walked forward. "You just made the biggest mistake of your life, coming here," Tirgo said, fury rumbling in his voice. Electricity consumed his body.
"You ready to die like your sister?" devyn said in a voice unlike his own, his mouth curled up into a smile that didn't belong on his face.
"I don't care if you're being controlled," Tirgo went on, electricity sparking off his body violently. "You're through fucking with me."
Fist met face.
devyn flew back at least ten feet before smashing hard onto the ground, backfirst. But before Tirgo could even move forward, devyn had gotten back up. Tirgo punched devyn again, sending him through the closed door, which disintegrated into shadows. Tirgo heard Fiona sob behind him, but ignored her. He launched himself forward, hoping to hit devyn on the ground. To his disappointment, he was only able to punch an upright target. Again, devyn crashed to the ground several feet away and got up stoically.
Tirgo heisitated. Why wasn't devyn being hurt by his attacks? Why wasn't he fighting back? devyn just continued to grin. Tirgo couldn't stand it. "Fight me," Tirgo growled. He tensed, waiting for devyn to say something back. devyn just smiled wider.
After what seemed like an eternity, devyn parted his teeth. "Do you not recognize these, boy?" devyn said with Falcon's voice, pointing to his red shades. Tirgo looked at them. They were cracked, but in a way he knew. He was there when they broke. He had broken them. Tirgo's eyes widened. "Rin..."
devyn laughed, a horrifying, demonic laugh. The sound tore Tirgo away from sadness and plunged him straight into fear. He had never heard such a terrible sound. It chilled him to his very bones. Tirgo's eyes continued to boil with intensity. The fear could be abated with violence.
devyn wouldn't resist him. Tirgo continued to attack with all of his strength, but devyn would not attack back or attempt to defend himself. Tirgo became even more enraged. "Fight back, you monster!" Tirgo screamed, shocking devyn with all that he had.
Tirgo grabbed the sunglasses on devyn's face and ripped them off. To his surprise, this seemed to snap devyn out of it. devyn made a lunge for the shades, but Tirgo backed away, out of his reach. As Tirgo watched, the shades faded in color and became black once again. It was certain now. These were definitely Rin's shades. Tirgo unceremoniously tossed them into his room and turned back to devyn. devyn had once again taken up simply smiling. He seemed to be satisfied about something. "Very good, you got the sunglasses," he cackled. "But let me break it to you, kid. There is no way to revive her."
That was the final breaking point. He would not allow this man to escape with his life.
Tirgo looked down at the man on the ground. No longer was he smiling. Tirgo noticed something red and glanced down at his own body, covered in blood. Tirgo cold eyes turned again to devyn. devyn was twitching, groaning, obviously in pain. His eyes had lost their green tint, and a hundred pairs of shades lay broken on the ground, in progress of disappearing. He looked up at Tirgo with fear and regret, tears flowing freely. This man was no longer being controlled by the monster who killed his sister. Tirgo felt the rain, but couldn't see it. After a minute, he realized the rain was coming from his eyes.
"Oh my god..." Fiona sounded horrified. "devyn..."
Tirgo turned towards Fiona, putting his back to the fatally wounded man. He stared into space, confused. What had he done? He couldn't remember why he had blood on his hands. He only remembered the monster who killed his sister. Slowly, he walked back into his room and found the shades on the ground. He put them on.
He suddenly became aware of Fiona's hysterical sobbing. He looked back outside. Fiona was shaking the body, screaming for him to wake up. Tirgo walked over to her and put an arm on her shoulder. She froze, then turned her head to look up at him. He saw the fear in her eyes. "I..." Tirgo started. But words couldn't come. He dropped to his knees, his eyes continuing their flow of tears. "What did I do..."
He put a hand up to his eyes to stop the tears, but a single finger grazed the shades. Tirgo felt the shades come off his face, and he couldn't feel his shadowed arm anymore. His vision was so obstructed by the tears that he couldn't tell what was going on. He allowed himself to fall to the ground, shivering and clutching his face with the hand he could feel.
Tirgo rushed to wipe his tears and frantically tried to see the source of the voice. It wasn't possible. He grabbed Fiona's shoulder and used it to pull himself so he could see what had been behind him. And there she was. A living shadow, his beloved sister, Rin.
Tirgo opened his eyes. After a couple seconds, he closed them again. Idily, he tried to remember what was going on. Where was he? Why was he sleeping? He felt around for a hand, but found nothing of the sort on the rough sheets. A bed. He was sleeping on a bed. But this wasn't Fiona's bed... Fiona...
Tirgo sat upright, quickly making to wipe the sleep out of his eyes. Where was Fiona? "Fiona?" he said, trying to get his eyes to see. "Where are you?"
Tirgo heard a noise and his head immediately snapped to that direction. His eyes came into focus. Fiona was sitting on the floor in a dark blanket, backed up against the wall, her eyes full of... fear? Tirgo finally noticed the interrobang poster on the wall. So this was his room. And he had gone here to avenge... Tirgo looked to his right and came face to face with the woman he was here to avenge.
Tirgo screamed and backed away, startled. Rin smiled sadly. "Brother," she said. "Good morning."
"Rin?" Tirgo said in disbelief, inching closer again. "Rin... Rin, you're..."
"Alive?" Rin smiled widely, baring her sharp teeth. "Thanks to you."
Tirgo remembered trying to wipe away his tears. How his shadow arm had lost feeling. "What did I do?" he asked, dumbfounded.
"I guess giving you that arm was a good idea," Rin said. "As long as I am with you, I cannot ever be truly vanquished."
Tirgo didn't quite understand, but having his sister back was a relief unlike he had ever felt before. His eyes filled with tears again. Rin quietly shushed him and moved over to hug him. Tirgo had always felt like hugging Rin was like hugging darkness itself. He didn't know how to describe the feel of her body. As he felt her back, he noticed his shadow arm was back. It felt hardly noticable since it fit in with Rin's shadowy form.
Tirgo broke the hug and turned his attention back to Fiona. He got off the bed and walked over to her. As he approached, she squeaked and clutched her knees to her body. Tirgo froze, noticing the look in her eyes again. She looked completely broken. "Fiona?" he said. "Are you okay? What happened?"
She continued to just stare at him, trembling horribly. Tirgo didn't know what to do. Rin slithered over to his side. "Brother, well," she began uncertainly. "A while ago, you were in a conflict with devyn. He was killed."
Tirgo didn't understand. "What?" he said, staring straight at the wall. "I... what? That's not..."
Rin put her hand on his shoulder. "It wasn't your fault," she said quietly. "You were controlled by that monster, Falcon. The same monster who used him to attack me."
Tirgo walked over to Fiona and looked into her wide eyes. He felt heartbroken. He had failed to protect her. "I'm sorry," he said. "Right after I said I would never hurt you..."
Fiona shook her head, trying to wipe her eyes. "No, yeah, it wasn't your fault," she said, standing up. "You weren't going to kill him. It's all that monster's fault."
Tirgo gently pulled her into a hug. "He was... that man was..." she murmured into his shoulder. "He wasn't a good person. It doesn't matter anyway."
Fiona began shaking again and Tirgo shushed her quietly, petting her head. Her tears came back, and she went limp in his arms. They stood like that for a while, simply being together. Tirgo's eyes furrowed. He could not allow anyone to hurt her again, especially not himself. He would do anything for her. Although, he did not quite understand why. He squeezed a little tighter.
Slowly, Tirgo broke the hug, holding Fiona at arm's length. She gave him a small smile and tried again to wipe away her sadness. "You're alright now," he said. "I won't let anything hurt you again. I promise."
Rin beheld them with a blank look. She banished the shadowy bed she had created and looked at her own hands. If she hadn't given Tirgo that arm, he may have never been able to revive her. A creature born from shadows, bound to a human form by the bonds she shared. She would have to be more careful in the future. She looked back up at the couple and squirmed uncomfortably. Watching such an intimate scene would be embarassing for anyone, but considering her feelings for her brother... Well, she was happy that he was happy, and that's all that mattered.
Their next course of action... of course, it would be to find and annihilate the monster who was the cause of all their misfortune. Falcon Blade.

Fiona locked her phone and turned to Tirgo, who locked his phone too. "What do we have to talk about?" Tirgo asked curiously.
Fiona looked at him nervously and glanced over at Rin, who was typing away on her shadow phone across the room. Fiona got close to him. "You know when you said that Rin was looking at your butt?" Fiona whispered. "Isn't that kind of weird?"
"I thought you were excited or something," Tirgo said.
"Yeah, well, we weren't kiss buddies at the time!" she whispered, giving him a quick peck for good measure. "I don't want anyone looking at your butt except me."
Tirgo shrugged. "Okay, I'll... er... talk to her about it then?" he said, giving her a peck in return. "And I'll make sure that nobody looks at your butt in a shifty manner."
Rin glanced up from her phone. Her brother and the girl were whispering to each other and getting quite close. Suddenly, they started outright kissing, and Rin decided to leave the room. Once outside, she took a breath and tried to maintain her composure. Yes, she was okay with this, right? Her brother being with someone else. That was fine. No, it was awful! To see her beloved brother with such a stupid, weak, idiotic, worthless--!!
Rin turned too quickly and looked over at her brother. "Oh, uh, hey, what's up?" she stammered.
"Hey, um..." Tirgo looked nervous. "So, Fiona wants me to tell you that she doesn't want you looking at my butt."
"What," Rin said.
"That's all, I guess," Tirgo said. "She just wanted you to stop doing that."
"I don't do that," Rin said.
"I didn't say you did!" Tirgo said. "Um, well, that's not... Anyway, that's just what she wanted to say."
"Listen, brother, I think we should talk." Rin said, putting a hand on Tirgo's shoulder.
Tirgo cocked his head. "What's up?" he smiled. "We can talk about anything, Rin. I'm so happy to see you're back."
Rin smiled her characteristic freakish sharp-toothed grin. "I guess we have some stuff to catch up on," she said. "Sorry for ditching you back at the door. I just... I wanted to check the place out myself, make sure it was safe."
"It's not very safe out there," Tirgo mused. "I've almost died a couple times now."
"Yeah," Rin said. "There are some dangerous things in Subcon, that's for sure..."
Rin glanced around nervously, heisitating to say something. "What is it?" Tirgo asked.
"Well, about Ms. Dark..." Rin said. "Are you certain that she isn't a threat? I don't want you to be put in danger."
"Fi is trustworthy," Tirgo said. "She isn't going to hurt me any time soon."
He glanced behind his shoulder back at the room. "She'll warm up to you, I'm sure," he said. "It's just... it's been hard on her, y'know? She's really a good person."
"Are the two of you..." Rin murmured. "Are the two of you... dating?"
Tirgo looked back at his sister. "Yep!" he said happily. "I want to be by her side and make sure she doesn't get hurt any more."
Rin's eyes narrowed slightly, but she cast this away. "That's good, brother," she said. "I hope you two get along."
"And," she continued. "If she ever breaks up with you, I will murder her and consume her soul."
Tirgo laughed. "Oh, Rin," he chuckled. "I'd prefer if you didn't do that."
Rin didn't laugh.

"Do we really have to look for Kaoru?" Fiona grumbled, rubbing her thumb over Tirgo's hand.
"Yes, of course! Ezrael says we should, anyway," he said. "And she's my friend, too. I'm worried about her."
"Worried about her, huh..." Fiona said. "If I disappeared, would you be more worried about her or me?"
"Um, you, I guess," Tirgo said. "But that isn't much of a fair question, is it? You're my girlfriend."
Fiona gave him a shy smile as he ruffled her hair affectionately. She wasn't entirely sure about the hair petting thing, but Tirgo seemed to like doing it. Anything he liked, she liked. "Yeah, I'm your girlfriend," she murmured.
She glanced up and noticed Rin staring at them. Rin quickly looked away, scratching her chin. Fiona's eyes creased. They were siblings, right? Fiona glared at Tirgo. "So, uh, you and your sister," she whispered. "You ever make out?"
Tirgo looked at her blankly. "What? Um, yeah, maybe?" he said, continuing to mess with her hair. "Probably. Why?"
Fiona scowled. "I mean like, well," she whispered. "Have you and her... Well, is she always like this with you?"
"What are you talking about?" he said.
"I mean--! You have to notice, right??" she said. "That she's... you know?!"
"In love with me?" he said. "Yeah, I know. I love her too. But she loves me in a way that I can't love her. I just don't want to hurt her feelings, alright? That's why I don't do anything about it. I couldn't stand it if I hurt her."
Fiona didn't know how to react. She rubbed Tirgo's shoulder gently. "I understand," she said. "Just... I just don't want to lose you."
Tirgo looked at her incredulously. "I would never leave you," he said, edging close for a kiss.
Rin went outside to vomit.

Rin slithered over to where Tirgo and Fiona were sleepcuddling on a shadowy couch. Before disturbing Tirgo, she glared at the couch. Well, what did she expect them to use it for? This sight was just disgusting. Rin had to fight down the rush of bile rising in her throat. Maybe she would never like this Dark woman. She started prodding at Tirgo's face, trying to awaken him from his deep slumber. It was strange watching him sleep. Her brother never used to sleep.
After a few prods, Rin just used her shadows to gently lift Tirgo off the couch and onto the floor. It was only then that he stirred, reaching instinctively for where his lady friend was just moments ago. Rin made a noise of disgust at the sight. Finally, Tirgo, dazed, opened his eyes and looked up at Rin. "Oh, hi Rin," he said, rubbing the sleep out of his eyes.
Rin grabbed him with shadows and pulled him standing. "Brother, you are acquaintances with this internal unfairs person, are you not?" she said. "What kind of person is he?"
Tirgo thought it over for a second. "He's a weird guy," he said. "Oh, and he likes being a detective."
"Do you think, given a change in gender, or sexuality, that you would perhaps find him to be attractive?" Rin said.
"Um... He has copper hair, and a hat," Tirgo said. "And a tie. And his eyes are grayed out."
"Brother, that didn't answer my question at all," Rin said. "I was asking if you believed him to be a handsome young man."
"Well, I've only met a few young men in my time, and he definitely has the right amount of hair," Tirgo said. "devyn had no hair, while Ezrael has too much hair. He has short hair, so that's cool. His hair is kind of like mine. Well, curlier, I guess. How did he get his eyes to be the exact same color as his hair? That's pretty impressive, if you ask me."
"Okay, never mind," Rin said. "Do you think, given a chance, he could be a proper ally? Someone to be depended on. For all sorts of things."
"I think he's on our side," Tirgo said. "He's probably a good guy. Ezrael trusts him. So, I guess we should trust him too."
"Let's see... If you had a child, and you had to go and visit another star and you could not bring the child, would you consider letting him take care of your child?" Rin said.
"Rin..." Tirgo blushed. "I'm too young for that..."
Rin slowly turned her head towards the dreaming Fiona. A horrible image crossed her mind. Her shades cracked very slightly. "That is against the point. It is thirty years in the future. You are a very successful, handsome man. In this situation, you have reached... some sort of agreement with someone... for marriage... and... and in this situation, you have somehow found or created a child," Rin said. "Given your status, you are invited to a newly opened star for the elite. However, your child is not an elite until proven wealthy. You are forced to take responsibility for your actions. Your child cannot come with you to the opening of the new restaurant. So. You must leave the child behind. In this situation, would you entrust current-day blind guy with your precious maybe adopted child?"
"Um, sure," Tirgo said.
Rin turned away from him and took out her shadow phone.

Tirgo pushed his face through Rin's torso to get a good look at her phone, causing her to blush terribly. "Oh... my... GOSH," he said. "I CAN'T believe such a thing is taking place."
Rin hastily put away the phone and pushed Tirgo away from her. Tirgo quickly turned the couch around and awoke Fiona so they could gossip together. Rin was mortified. Yes. They would leave as soon as possible. Fast.
Rin stared resolutely ahead, although she wasn't paying attention to the flashy moving lights, or even the purple bridge beneath her. She was just trying to hide her face from the two gossipy kids behind her. Tirgo and Fiona had been giggling and whispering to each other ever since Tirgo had learned about her interest in Byron, and she was sick of it. Although she still loved her brother, she had to admit that he was being very aggravating. Finally, she had gotten them to leave the room, but now she had to contend with their ridiculous antics until they... what did they need to do again? Rin didn't really care. Maybe they were looking for Kaoru. Yeah, that could be it.
Rin glanced back at the two lovebirds. The two of them looked quite cheerful and peppy. So why did Tirgo insist that they walk again? They could search much faster if they were allowed to fly. Of course, Dark couldn't fly, but Tirgo had flown with her before, hadn't he? She guessed it was out of his concern for Dark's comfort. What was there to fear in flying, anyway? What was there to fear in anything? This Dark woman was far too weak. Rin scowled behind her shades.
Tirgo and Fiona had their heads together, giggling and stealing glances at Rin's back. They looked like schoolgirls finding out some juicy gossip. "What did it say again?" Fiona whispered, although she had asked this question a dozen times. "What specifically?"
"She was asking Byron out!" Tirgo whispered back. "She said she wanted to go on a 'human date' with him."
The two of them collapsed into giggles again. Fiona felt fantastic. This was her element. Pointless gossip. She loved all of it. Knowing stuff about people, stuff that they didn't want her to know... for some reason, it made her feel clever. Tirgo was excited. Excited that maybe his sister would find someone new. Someone that wasn't him. He was happy for her.
Rin shot a look at them once more. It was this Dark woman, it had to be. Her brother wouldn't be behaving this stupidly if it weren't for her and her stupid gossip. She was tainting her brother. She needed to be stopped. Poor, sweet, precious Tirgo. Rin needed to show her. She needed to show that harlot that he still liked her better!
Rin turned around, still moving forward on the bridge. "Brother, I had an idea," she said, trying to sound neutral.
Tirgo looked up and cleared his face of any gossipy vibes (although Fiona made no attempt to stop smiling stupidly at his sister). "What is it, Rin?" he said.
"Well, I was thinking, perhaps it is strange that our names are so different, although we are siblings," Rin said, beginning to show a wild grin. "What if I changed my name to Rin Jefferson? Then we would have closer names."
Tirgo blinked. "Oh, yeah, I guess, okay," he said. "Well, I was thinking about names too. I was thinking about just changing my name to Tirgo. You know, full-time."
Rin's smile drooped. "So your name would just be Tirgo?" she said slowly. "No last name or anything?"
"Yep, I guess," Tirgo said. "I never really liked my name anyway... Thomas Jefferson... It makes me sound like some kind of stuffy old man or something!"
Rin hesitated. "Okay. That's fine," she said. "I'll change my name to Rin Tirgo then. That way, I can still have you as part of my name."
Tirgo squirmed. "Yeah... Hey, names aren't that important, you know," he said. "You are still my sister no matter what your name is. You can keep the name Prin Pardus and still be my sister."
A silence grew between them. Fiona stared at him, confused. "Huh?" she said. "Prin Pardus?"
Tirgo looked at them in turn. "Huh? Did I say something wrong?" he said. "Oh-- What? I said... That's weird. Slip of the tongue, I guess. I meant to say Rin Ardus."
Rin blinked. "Well, whatever," she said, turning back around. "I'd like to have my name close to yours, brother. I'll be Rin Tirgo from now on."
Tirgo felt his forehead. Where on earth did he get 'Prin Pardus' from? He shook his head. Weird slip of the tongue, he guessed. But, for some reason, that name registered to him.

DR: I'm guessing you're the new "leader" there. RT: Sure whatever RT: Yes RT: We are recruiting Byron RT: He is a valuable asset DR: He does have an amazing memory. DR: His investigative skills are quite impressive too. DR: I must admit, most of my mysterious info comes from him. RT: Yes he's probably great RT: Where is Maeda DR: Somewhere. RT: Where specifically DR: Are you kidding? Your entire goal right now is to find her. RT: Really RT: Who set this goal again RT: Was it you RT: It was you wasn't it RT: Side note do we need her stupid Japanese ass DR: Well, I suppose so. DR: She is most likely one of the strongest people in Subcon, after you and your brother. DR: She has honed her skills with wind rather quickly. RT: Does she have any positive qualities DR: What? RT: Is there any real reason for me to care that she's gone RT: She's kind of an unhelpful bitch RT: And I bet she wants to get in with my brother too RT: I swear RT: If she makes one wrong move I will turn her existence into a tear in space time DR: I... actually don't doubt that. DR: Ms. Tirgo, I hope you understand our situation. We need all the help we can get. DR: The threat is unknown and quite dangerous, as you have already seen. DR: We need to "get the team together", as they say, and attempt to stop them with our best tool. DR: Strategy. RT: Ok sure RT: If it's so colossally important why aren't you out there looking for her yourself DR: I am mission control. RT: You're lazy RT: You'd rather us lowly people do the work for you DR: Excuse me? RT: Actually do we really need you RT: No RT: You have already told me that you are useless RT: Your info comes from Byron RT: You refuse to leave your home RT: And you know nothing of what is going on out here RT: From now on I will lead the rebel force RT: We will conquer this World under my leadership DR: What are you talking about?? Rin threw her phone off the side of the bridge.
The ground felt hard and cold against her skin. It also seemed to be moving underneath her. Her head hurt. Kaoru opened her eyes. Were her eyes open? The room was too dark. Kaoru closed her eyes. She tried to move her arm. It felt numb. She was laying on it. She used her other arm to push herself into a better laying position. She didn't feel much like moving. Idily, she took in her surroundings. It was dark in here, and the ground had to be something like concrete. The air felt cold. What was this place? She couldn't remember being in a place like this before.
She struggled to keep clear thoughts. Speaking of which, who was this? Vague images swam in her mind. She had to be a person, that much she understood. Vaguely, she ran her hand over her face and neck. Kaoru Maeda. Why would she forget her own name? How ridiculous. She was Kaoru Maeda. Great, she thought. Now to get to her situation... What was she doing before she woke up here? She was at that place. She knew the place, but the name wouldn't come to her just now. The image of a guy with scruffy black hair and a boyish face came to the forefront of her mind. Yes, that guy's place. She was on his computer. She was looking for information.
And then the door opened. She thought it would be that annoying woman, but it wasn't. It was that other guy. No, no, it wasn't a guy. It was a robot. A giant, freaky, bug-eyed robot man. That guy, who pretended to be a weird middle aged flirt. She supposed it was him, anyway. She wanted her life to become an anime. Why was that? The robot grabbed her. Said that he wanted to kill her personally. And then... and then what happened? Kaoru's head pounded. The ringing in her ears seemed to get louder. She sluggishly grabbed at her head and attempted to push the headache out. The door opened. And then... someone came to her rescue...? She didn't know him. What did he look like? Was it a he? They weren't a robot, anyway... She remembered... the man, the person, had a crazy smile. She thought she was going to be saved. Then they got closer... And then she felt a sharp pain in her head... and then...
So, that person wasn't there to help her, after all. They were in cahoots, weren't they? But it wasn't the red guy, devyn. She didn't recognize this new person. Oh boy, she thought. Another stupid threat. Kaoru felt around her shorts for her phone. To her surprise, she wasn't even wearing shorts. She was clad in only her underwear! Oh, for shame! A sophisticated Japanese woman should never have to experience such embarassment! Kaoru instinctively covered her heated face. She was mortified. Tentatively, she felt her chest, looking for a shirt. To her relief, her baggy shirt remain. Now she didn't feel like such a harlot. This was better. All of a sudden, Kaoru became aware that her ankles were shackled.
Kaoru sat up, ignoring the pain in her head. She felt her bare legs (eugh) and found where the cold steel trapped her legs. She felt them for a chain. She was attached to the floor. Great, she thought. She was trapped here. So, that other person, that man (she was sure it was a man now), had captured her. Well, he didn't expect her to do this! Kaoru flared up with wind ability, her hair curving with the gusts. She pointed at the shackles. Within seconds, they had broken apart. She didn't have time to explain to herself how exactly she did that, but it probably had something to do with cool wind blades or something. Kaoru stood up, glaring around the room. Her eyes slowly adjusted to the dark, and she noticed many broken objects and pieces of junk lying about. There was a flight of stairs up against a wall nearby. First thing's first, she needed to find her shorts. There was no way she would confront her kidnapper in such a state! And, speaking of which, did her kidnapper take her shorts?? What a pervert!
After rifling through all of the piles of junk, she decided that her shorts were nowhere in this room. However, she did manage to find something... what looked like a phone? She powered it on, and sure enough, it seemed to be a phone. She quickly booted up chatServer.

Kaoru turned off the phone and sighed. She glanced down at her bare legs and began crying. She really couldn't let anyone see her in such a state. But wouldn't it be worse for Tirgo to show up and find her like this? He would never like her then. KUSO!
This is kind of a weird one. Basically, the idea is people would vote on 2-3 different letters, which would represent different commands to continue the story. I filled in the commands beforehand, and then I would tally the votes and continue the story based on what was chosen. The story itself is rather short, as I abandoned this after not too much time had passed. I seem to recall getting bent out of shape because I wasn't getting the amount of votes I was hoping for, and the story itself wasn't going too well. I guess this concept could still work, but it would probably be executed quite differently. This was being written around the same time as the first dozen or so Tirgostuck text updates. Not my best project at all, but it was on the MSPA Forums for a long time in my official thread, and I have all of it here, so why not post it?
A person is standing around. Or possibly sitting. There's not much we know about them yet, because they haven't been created.
Well, what's their gender?
(A) Female. (4) (B) Male. (2)
Alright, so she's a girl. Breasts magically appear.
Sadly for this poor woman, we still know nothing about her. Better work on that too.
What's her name and age?
(A) Carol Peters, age 18. (1) (B) Garuda Trumbull, age 14. (1) (C) Tanith Blackwell, age 27. (4)
Her name is Tanith Blackwell! A lovely name for a lovely young lady.
Well, she's 27, so she's practically a grandmother, but whatever.
What's she look like?
(A) Tall and brunette! (3) (B) Short and black haired! (1) (C) Average height and blonde! (0)
Ms. Blackwell happens to not only be tall, but also brunette. Good for her! So, we've got a general idea of what she looks like. But as we all know, that's not so important compared to the true test of a hero: her personality.
What's she like?
(A) She's a professional who maintains a serious demeanor. (1) (B) She's a spunky and free-spirited lady. (3) (C) She's an overdramatic hopeless romantic. (1)
Carefully chosen from three generic female character stereotypes, Miz Blackwell turns out to be a free-spirited and energetic woman! What a doll. A "slightly conservative but not too much so but also with a bit of style but not too much style" dress appears on her.
Alright, now that we've got that down, what's her interests? What's she really in to?
(A) Writing prose essays and listening to '60s songs. (0) (B) Shopping lol. (2) (C) Really dumb boy bands from the late '90s and cooking. (1) (D) Pursuing her ultimate dream of being a famous actress. (5)
Tanith has a life-long dream of becoming a famous actress. Of course! That would explain all the posters of attractive female actresses in her room! Phew, and for a second there, it looked like she might have been a lesbian.
OR IS SHE NOT??
As if it matters.
Ms. Blackwell isn't quite a famous actress yet, or even an actress at all. What does she work as right now?
(A) Nothing, she lives off of her parent's money. (3) (B) Office temp. (2) (C) Waitress. (5)
Tanith works the diner all day, workin' for her man, etc. She waits tables at a local restaurant of some sort. Maybe we'll figure out more about that place later.
Right now, Tanith is late for something! What, you didn't know? That's why she's been rushing all over her apartment looking for her phone, you idiot!
What's she late for?
(A) Her job at an unnamed restaurant. (0) (B) The midnight premiere of the newest chick flick. (4) (C) A blind date. (0)
She's late for the premiere of A Bond Like No Other, the newest chick flick (and also the first one in the 007 canon)! Such a catastrophe cannot be overlooked. Now that she's found her phone, she finds like fifty million messages from someone.
Should she call them back or ignore it?
(A) Answer her male friend. (2) (B) Ignore! (1) (C) Answer her female friend. (1)
Oh, it's ... your ...!
Damn it, it's another choosing thing. Can't I decide anything about this story?
(A) Stahge Hugh, your one and only male friend. (4) (B) Nathan Miller, your best of many gay friends. (1) (C) Samuel West, your younger brother. (2)
Tanith notices that all the messages are from her BFF Stahge. She and Stahge go way back. She is filled with memories of kindergarden and stuff. Of course, sane people don't have memory seizures upon noticing they got a few messages, but whatever. You decide to give one of the two (not several million, that was a hyperbole) messages a listen.
"Hey, it's me. I called to tell you that it looks like I'm not going to make it to your girl movie premiere tonight. This must be heartbreaking news, I know. [Tanith rolls her eyes sarcastically.] I've got some work I have to catch up on, so it looks like leaving the office won't be so easy tonight. Umm... Maybe this weekend we can do something? Whatever you want. I guess I owe you a favor now, I promised I'd be there. [She smiles evilly, already thinking of her options.] Alright, so, whatever. Talk to you later. Bye."
She loads up the second message (momentarily surprised upon realizing that it's not from Hugh):
"(bubbly, overexcited female voice) Heeeyy, girlfriend! Where you at, yo??? You said you'd be downtown on the hiz-zaaaay! Word! (giggles) [Tanith facepalms.] Alright, word, yeah, okay, so, just be here before midnight so we can get tickeeeeets! Don't forget! Or I'll kill you. Okay, bye!"
Tanith immediately grabs her phone up to delete Garuda's message. That girl can be such a hassle. What was going on? Oh, right, storming out the door! She grabs the rest of her stuff and rushes out of her apartment, making sure to lock the door, as she lives in the treacherous city of ... , where ... ! Wait, damn it.
(A) Hollywood, known for its annoying movie star wannabe-related theft crimes. (B) Anaheim, known for its rampant, flamboyant, homosexual-related theft crimes. (C) Portland, known for its pink flamingos.
(i think c won but i don't care to count the votes right now)
Tanith lives in the bizarre and frightening land known only as Portland, Oregon. Often, Tanith is required to drive around the large amount of PINK FLAMINOS which completely litter the surrounding area. It wasn't always like this. Back when Tanith was a child, there were no flamingos whatsoever. But times change. And you know what? So do flamingos. There's flamingos everywhere, and we should all learn to accept it.
While she runs down endless flights of stairs, Tanith thinks about the messages. Stahge owes her a favor now, so what ridiculous thing could she make him do? She'd have to think about it later. Such things require research and study. And can't Garuda leave her alone for once? I mean, she's not that late!
Tanith then checks her phone and notices that it is 11:46.
Tanith leaps into her car and slams on the gas. This'll be a close one.
(A) Tanith is late! (2) (B) Tanith arrives on time! (2) (C) Tanith decides to see the movie on DVD! (0)
Tanith speeds into the roads but quickly hits a problem by running headlong into a week-long traffic jam.
Oh, yeah, she should have seen this coming. I mean, it was on the news and everything. Traffic on these roads has basically completely stopped due to a large influx of flamingos. Tanith looks at the clock. 11:54. There's no way to make the show now.
Tanith just decides to see it on DVD instead.
She backs out of the jam and goes off into another direction. Well, now what? She didn't much feel like going to bed or anything, but she couldn't go to the movie, but... What is there to do???
Tanith decides to get completely blasted, and why not? There's no way this idea can end badly!
She parks up near a bar she often frequents named Irma's. This is her favorite haunt out of all the bars she goes to, as this one often is filled with weirdos to talk to. Oh, the adventures she's had that began at Irma's... Well, no reason to stand here like an idiot and reminisce. Tanith walks in.
Unfortunately, something surprising happens! What is it?
(C) The place has burned down! (0) (Q) They're out of vodka! (2) (R) Tanith trips and breaks her arm somehow! (1)
Tanith tragically discovers that the place is out of vodka. This night is doomed. Nothing can possibly lift her spirits, except maybe for some spirits. Tanith gets to work ingesting as much hard alcohol as she can for the next twenty minutes.
After a while, she starts talking to random bar people. She gets into a conversation with a cute bird analyst who has sexy eyes and a sexy face and a sexy chest and sexy hair and Tanith thinks she should slow down on the drinking stat. Sexy Analyst asks her if she'd like to get out of the bar and go to a birdwatching place he enjoys. What to do?
Tanith's eyes slowly open. The room is blurry. It's not one she recognizes, either. Great. Another one night stand.
Tanith takes a few minutes to lay there with her eyes closed, her head throbbing, wondering what exactly happened last night. Somewhere in here, she gets the sudden realization that she is naked. She also feels slightly impure. A good sign. Eventually, she slowly sits up and checks out the room. The person who lives in this room must be well-off. Judging from the window currently pouring sunlight into the wide room, she's somewhere high up. A condo, perhaps. The room itself is simple but stylish. It's rather clean, except for her clothes, which she notices are strewn on the floor.
She gets out of bed and starts gathering up her clothes so she can dress herself. Upon putting them on, however, she suddenly feels kind of filthy, as though she had been sweating heavily all night. Maybe this guy will let her take a shower before leaving. No reason to waste the hot water back at home. She notices a wallet on the bedside table and starts going through it so she can figure out this dude's name. She takes out the driver's license. "Arthur Stone" is his name, and judging from the picture, he's pretty cute. Not bad at all, Tanith.
Tanith is putting the wallet back when she notices a glint on the bedside table. What's that? She picks up the thing. It's shiny. Probably fake gold. A circular band... Tanith drops the thing. It's a wedding ring. The man she shacked up with was married.
She quickly puts the ring back where she found it and looks around frantically. She's a homewrecker! Does his wife know about this?? Of course she doesn't! She doesn't know a thing! She's probably out of town! On business!! What if they have a kid?? What if the wife is hotter than her?? Oh shit!! Tanith pushes the door open and arrives into a large, stylish condo living room. This was definitely the condo of a rich guy. A rich guy she just fucked. A rich guy who is... making pancakes?
"Oh, hey!" Arthur said, glancing at her over his cooking in the attached kitchen. "Sleep well?"
Tanith looked around some more, her head still killing her. Were there any sign of kids? "Um, you alright?" Arthur asked.
Tanith looked up at him and then left the room. She grabbed the wedding ring and returned. At this point, Arthur was obviously confused. Tanith charged right up to him. "When were you going to tell me about THIS??" she said angrily, shoving the ring into his face. "Do you have kids too?? Don't think you can just use me to get back at your bitch wife!!"
Arthur was dumbstruck. He suddenly noticed he was burning his pancakes and hastily flipped them before turning back to her. "Where did you find that?" he asked.
"It was on your bedside table, Arthur Stone! Wait, it's all coming back to me now... bird watching!" she yelled, throwing the ring at his chest. "Bird watching! Sexy analysts! You just said all that so you could screw me behind her back, right? What's her name?? You shouldn't cheat on your wife, what would she say?!"
"Wait, Tanith-" he began, but Tanith cut him off. "You are a terrible husband! I would never trust you after I found out about this--!"
To her surprise, Arthur grabbed her left hand and brought it in front of her face. Right there on her ring finger was a wedding ring. Tanith's eyes widened.
(D) Sure, why the fuck not? (1) (T) Get married right now! (3) (F) Throw drink in his face! (1)
Tanith, stunned, stared at the ring on her hand. For a minute, she stared at it, dumbstruck, while Arthur looked from her to her ring to the ring on the ground to the pancakes he was cooking. A moment later, Tanith left the room and went back into Arthur's bedroom. Arthur heard ripping noises as she went through everything in the room, turning it upside down searching for something. He decided to go back to making his pancakes as Tanith emerged from the room holding what appeared to be a wedding certificate, officially joining "Tanith Stone" and "Arthur Stone" in holy matrimony. Arthur looked at her, confused.
(B) Try and make this marriage work. (1) (B2) Flip the everloving fuck out and immediately consult a divorce consultant. (0) (B4) Call Stahge and bawl into the reciever. (2)
Tanith retreats back into Arthur's bedroom and pulls out her phone.
-- Call to 5551231 (Stahge) -- Ringing... Ringing... Stahge: Hey, Tanny. What's up? Tanith: -sobbing incoherantly- Stahge: Are you sobbing uncontrollably again? Tanith: -sobbing- Bar! -sobbing- Sexy analysts! -sobbing- Stahge: Alright, where are you? Tanith: -sobbing- Married! -sobbing- Stahge: Oh, so you're on Married Lane? Shit, I'll be right there. Tanith: I DON'T KNOW WHERE I AM AND I'M A HOME WRECKER AND I WANT A DIVOOORCE!!! -collapses into tears- Stahge: ... Stahge: Alright, hand the phone to your one night stand.
Tanith gets up and goes into the living room to give her phone over to Arthur, who looks quite confused but not as distraught.
Arthur: Hello? Stahge: Hey. I see you've met Tanith. Arthur: Um, yeah. Are you her brother? Stahge: Nah... I'm more like a guardian. So, one night stand? Arthur: Um... yes. But, there-- Stahge: And what else happened? Arthur: Apparently, we got married overnight? -the sound of Tanith sobbing loudly in the background- Stahge: Rings and certificates and stuff? Arthur: Y-Yes. I think. How could this have happened? Stahge: It happens. Did you have sex with her? Arthur: -nervously- Um... I think so? Maybe... Stahge: Okay... you both were drunk at the time? Arthur: Yes, most probably. Stahge: Figure out how to get an annulment and tell me your address so I can pick her up, alright? Arthur: Um, sure. I don't know how this could have happened! Stahge: Oh, you know. Drunken men taking advantage of silly little girls. It happens.
Arthur handed the phone back to Tanith once he was done, then went to look for evidence of sex-having. Tanith continued to cry on the floor, hardly paying attention. She looked like as if someone had just murdered her family in front of her. She kept looking at the ring and breaking down, crying. This was largely due to the fact that she was still somewhat intoxicated due to the amount of alcohol still in her system. She could hardly think straight. And you know, when people can't think straight, they do stupid things. Like this:
(1) Ask Arthur if they can have sex again. (1) (BBC) Try to jump out the window. (2) (NBC) Make sure Arthur doesn't leave this condo alive. (1)
Tanith leaped at the window which makes up most of the city-facing wall! Unfortunately, she slammed into it mostly unharmed. Turns out it's made of glass. She briefly made attempts at opening it but suddenly realized all that she has to live for. I mean, she works at a dead end job, is 27 years old and has never starred in a movie despite calling herself an artist, never married... Wait...
Tanith made another brave attempt at leaping out of the window. Still no.
Arthur returned at last, albeit without evidence. He thought for a while, then absentmindedly went over to Tanith and half-pulled her into a chair. He sat down in front of her. Tanith tried to get her eyes to focus, but was is quite tired from all the sobbing and drama and would rather have just gone to sleep. "How could this have happened?" Arthur asked her confusedly. "You have to get marriage licenses three days in advance, right?"
Tanith thought this over. "Yeah, probably. Stahge would know. He's my guy," she said, slightly slurring her words. Was she actually regaining her inebriated state somehow? What the hell.
Arthur thought again, then went over and picked up the marriage certificate in the kitchen. He exclaimed loudly, causing Tanith to look over in curiosity. Arthur ran over and showed her the certificate, which she took. Right there at the top was the words:
"STATE OF NEVADA, COUNTY OF CLARK"
"Wait," she said slowly. "Nevada?"
"WE WENT TO FUCKING VEGAS FOR THIS??"
(C) Try the window again! (2) (B) Slap Arthur and kiss him. (0) (A) Shiiiit, who even cares? Get me a beer. (1)
Tanith made another attempt for the window, but this time Arthur was there. He grabbed her around the waist and put her back. "That window isn't breakable, don't try it," he said, walking over to the kitchen to check on his burning pancakes. "There's something we need to talk about, anyway."
Tanith looked over at him. "What the hell else could there be to talk about?? We get a divorce or something and pretend this never happened!" she growled.
Arthur shut off the oven. He walked over to her and sat down again, looking anxious. "Alright, well... I looked around the place for evidence of a," he paused, looking at her stubborn face. "...you know. But I couldn't find one."
Tanith raised an eyebrow. "You couldn't find a 'y'know'?" she said sarcastically.
"A condom," he said nervously. "I couldn't find a condom or anything."
She looked at him blankly.
"Are you on birth control or something?" he asked her.
She shook her head slowly.
Her eyes widened slightly. "Hold on," she began. "So, you're saying... I might be..."
The events of the previous night started to come back to her. The sexy analyst. The birdwatching site. There was a lot of alcohol imbibed. They started making out. One thing led to another. A drunken engagement. But they couldn't get married there. So they caught a bus to Vegas. The sun rose. Short naps. They kept drinking. They got married. Returned home for the honeymoon. They figured they didn't need a condom because they were so in love...
"W-what day is it?" she stuttered, horrorstruck.
Arthur took out his phone. "Wait... It's the fifth? That can't be right..." he said slowly.
Tanith buried her face in her hands. This was the stupidest thing she had ever done.
And you know, when you do stupid things, you tend to do some more.
(A) Let's try and sort this out logically like adults and wait for Stahge. (0) (?) "Well, I'm already pregnant, so could we..." (1) (?) Call your mom! (3)
Tanith snags her phone and runs for the bedroom to call her mom, leaving Arthur sitting there, confused. He sighed and got up to finish up his pancakes. Just as he was finishing up and finally prepared to eat some, there was a knock at the door. Stahge entered the condo without being let in and scanned the area, his dark brown eyes thinning. He caught sight of Arthur and scratched a little at his slightly-unshaven chin. "So, you're Arthur Stone?" he asked, walking over and staring intently at him. "Tell me everything. Where has Tanith been for two days?"
"Um, well..." Arthur said, not sure where to begin. "Apparently, um, we met at a bar, and sort of, um, hit it off."
Stahge perched himself on a stool and continued scanning Arthur. Feeling intimidated, Arthur went on. "Apparently, we got really drunk, and um, decided to get married," he elaborated nervously. "So we went to Vegas, got married and returned."
"You went to Vegas?" Stahge asked him coldly.
Arthur nodded. "I'm not sure how this could have happened, I mean, there's some things..." he said, staring off into space. "But there was no reason to..."
Stahge snapped his fingers. "Get on with it," he said.
"Okay, anyway, we must have been drunk the whole time, because I don't really remember much..." Arthur said, trying to avoid Stahge's piercing eyes. "And we came back here, to my condo-"
Stahge raised an eyebrow. "Back to the condo for the honeymoon?" he asked sardonically.
"Yes, I think so..." Arthur said, getting more nervous. "And we must have had sex, but I couldn't find any... um..."
Stahge paused. "You couldn't find a condom?" he asked slowly.
"Yeah, um..." Arthur said, looking scared. "I couldn't find one."
Next thing Arthur knew, Stahge had him up against a wall, holding him by the shirt cuffs. Stahge looked livid. "Tell me you pulled out!!" he said, pushing Arthur against the wall painfully.
(A) Tanith enters, cheers Stahge on. (B) Tanith enters, tells Stahge to stop. < that one won i remember (C) Stahge and Arthur start violently making out.
Stahge saw Tanith out of the corner of his eye. She looked somewhere between exasperated and confused. She rushed over and grabbed his arm. "Hey, let go of my husband!" she said.
Stahge relented, dropping Arthur back to his feet, where he staggered awkwardly. "Sorry," he said to Arthur, taking a long pause before looking at Tanith. "Let's get out of here."
Tanith looked quite happy to comply, but first went over to the table and grabbed a piece of paper. She handed Arthur her phone number and said, "Divorce! And if you think you're getting anything of mine, you are sorely mistaken!" she snapped at him, causing him to sink back against the wall again.
Tanith and Stahge walked themselves out, leaving Arthur alone. After a few moments, he went back to his pancakes.
As you all know, good friends tend to talk to each other once inside of cars, and such a thing happened on this fateful day between these two friends. However, we are not clear on what exactly they talked about. It has been theorized that the truth would be revealed if there was a vote called on the event. We should try and do that.
I don't know if there's an official Mage sprite that's out there but like 3-4 years ago I made my own and I thought it looked pretty good. I posted it on the forums at one point but I don't think anyone ever used it or gave me their opinion on it. I recently found it again, so I'll post it here. link
Looks like the Hope one is screwed up in this template
It has come to my attention that these forums are temporary so it would be pointless to dump a bunch of text here, just for people to leave in a few months. Also, for unrelated reasons, I'm leaving these forums anyway. Bye. If a mod or someone walks by and sees this post, you mind locking the thread for me? Thanks.
