 Well, it had a thread on the original forum, so I guess it's probably prudent to start one here. Sandswept is the Unofficial Homestuck Prequel Comic starring the 48 Squiddles that created the Troll Universe. It's extremely big, extremely ambitious, and been going since 2012, so it's definitely not one of those fan projects that (sadly) fades away into obscurity after a few months. And anyone can help out! This forum thread exists for coordination purposes and stuff; it's a place to discuss the adventure and how it can go forward (though we also have a Skype chat for day-to-day communication), and probably a place to post various silly news announcements. We post all our updates on MSPFA, not sure if we will post simultaneously on here or not (depends on how many people on here care to read it). Uh there's no specific news to share just yet. We're working on the next walkaround; it's pretty far along, though maybe it could use YOUR help! Who knows! You do! But yeah, all people are welcome to help out, especially artists. We love fanart too but every time we get any, the person who made it ends up joining the art team lol Well, happy squiddling. And until then, enjoy some Barty Anderson:  |

Crap, nobody's posted in here in a really long time. Very sorry about that; my life's been hectic for the past while, and everyone else has been pretty busy as well. If you've tried to get in contact with the project and failed, I'm extremely sorry because I've been not keeping up very well with a lot of different things. If you're still interested and nobody's contacted you, please send another message or just keep pestering me about it. On the project side of things, lots of fine-tuning going on lately, especially with the upcoming Big Walkaround that has been in the works for like... two and half years.... damn this project's been going on for a long time... Not much art though; we have 8 updates' worth of art and writing ready for you whenever we figure out the new posting situation, but we're trying to build it up much further than that. I forgot to link it here, so here's our cool Recruitment Post where we sing Evangelion songs badly and tell you all about the ways you can contribute to the project (or ways you can tell your artistically-gifted friends about it). |

The plan was to wait until the forums came back up to start updating again, but it seems that is never going to happen. So... uh, I think we will start updating again very soon, especially to cynically capitalize on the impending release of Hiveswap: Act One. There's some seriously good posts coming up. Well, about eleven updates' worth, but still.
Though, considering it's been close to five years since the comic started, I may make good on my threat to draw the rest of the un-arted pages in MS Paint myself just so the comic will finally be out there to read. Nobody wants that but I will do it if necessary. #BringSandsweptHome

The above post seems to have been a lie. We still have about eleven updates' worth of content ready to post (aside from one small walkaround that hasn't been assembled yet but is mostly ready), but prospects on much more getting done anytime soon are grim.
Act 2 is written, Act 3 is outlined, and the rest of the comic is planned in good detail with a ton of really fantastic stuff in store, but seeing as the fandom is not very alive anymore and our "please help us" drive last year failed miserably, our hopes of getting the rest of the comic finished are fading and we have been debating whether to keep extremely-slowly trudging on and completing the comic in, like, 2024 (or possibly never), or releasing all the unfinished material to the public as a "what could have been" situation. If you have any thoughts on this, please share them, because we (well, at least I) have no idea what the right answer is.

i love sandswept so much and would be disappointed if it was canceled. though i do understand your situation.
i wish i could help, and even though i am not very confident in my art skills, i would be willing to lend a hand. however i am not able to at this time due to real-life circumstances.
if you have another please help us drive i'd be willing to help get the word out. otherwise, id be ok with the MS paint plan too asasdfggfdsdfgd. if you ultimately decide that ending it is the best course of action though, i understand.
(sandswept is amazing and all the work that's been done for it so far has just been absolutely phenomenal. just sayin, good job everyone who's worked on this project. good luck with whatever you decide to do!)

Exclusively artists now. While there is plenty left to be written, there's a written backlog of somewhere around 600 pages still without art, including three walkarounds. I personally would really like to at least see the first of these walkarounds be finished before it's all said and done, because I made a lot of really silly references in that one  |

I didn't realize it until now, but because of Dropbox removing its public folder status and essentially becoming a useless hosting service, any links to Sandswept that were from Dropbox are now broken, which includes all flashes. I will go through and fix all of that as soon as possible, and I'll make another post whenever that's finished. Really sorry about all that.
