>Enter name: Dato. The orc applauds you on managing to get his name correct. What good cheer brought him!======>Your name is DATO, though on occasion you must specify that you are of the CLAN MONTALET. You are an ORC and as such you are a LOWER CLASS citizen of the Empire, though you are better off than most of your kin. How so? By being a FAMOUS EROTICA AUTHOR, of course. Your romances involving STAR-CROSSED LOVERS have titillated the middle-aged ladies of the Empire, raking enough profits that you are able to indulge in a few luxuries. You have even dabbled in comics and film/game scripts- your YURIBARA DATING SIMS have been well-received, landing you your spot in the Game.
Though, in truth, they probably picked you as you are THE WEAKEST ORC IN THE EMPIRE.
In addition to your ability to write, you also have strong leanings towards PAPERCRAFT. Paper folding, paper modeling- so long as it involves paper and stationery, you love it. You even have attempted to manufacture your own paper goods but IT'S TOO EXPENSIVE for someone of your status. You positively adore anything VINTAGE: old technologies, historic fashions, retro games, the list goes on. You also happen to fancy yourself as a ROMANTIC, fantasizing about being caught up in your own love story where you inevitably find YOUR TRUE LOVE(S). Unfortunately for you, your INABILITY TO DIFFERENTIATE BETWEEN PLATONIC AND ROMANTIC AFFECTION is crippling all your chances of fulfilling your hopes and dreams.
Your gramoniker is wardenPonder and thy typing manner reflects fondness for the archaic with an Expected love of thy clan symbol x3.
What will you do?

Consider your friends and neighbors. Have any of them been acting affectionately lately? You might not know if they were platonic or romantic, but you could probably go over the possibilities in your head.

>Dato: Play some of the finest yuribara games out there. You figure that you have time to spare for now and decide to play visual novel of the YURIBARA variety. You open up your up your inventory and take out your holowatch- big and clunky for everybody but orcs. You'd found it at a thrift store, still functional and for a price you can actually afford. You absolutely love it.======>You equip your holowatch. A model this old can only have one app loaded at any given time, changeable only by switching out the chip in the H-drive. Strangely enough, the MPyre chip disappeared as soon as you entered the game, freeing up the slot. Perfect. ======>You pop in a classic- Fantastic Girlfriends: Legends of Midetrovia. The yuribara genre (which translated to "jasmine pecs" in Oni Orc dialects) up until now had only been found in Onihon. The aesthetic is that of female characters with bulky, fit, and mature physiques counter to that of yaouri ("pancake breasts"), which features slender, youthful girls with over-sized hands and pointy chins. Though your preferences lean toward beefy males, you can't help but admire the story, the comedy, and the romance behind yuribara. Nothing like the quick, shallow and occasionally very disturbing sexualization of M/M works you find so often. Such a shame really.
Fantastic Girlfriends was your first-ever yuribara game- a combination RPG and visual novel. Though the premise seemed rather plain- a heroine from the modern age gets sucked into a fantasy world and meets all these wonderfully buff love interests to save the world- the art and story were well put-together and engaging. And the romances? Charming and inspiring- you've used these as a base for many a novel. You must have replayed this at least 60 times by now. Oh well, another replay won't hurt.

>Dato: Begin the 61st replay. The game asks if you want to start a new game. Seeing as you had completed your 60th run a few weeks ago, you select "Yes" and get yourself hyped for the opening.======>What is this screen!? This has never come up before. "Warning! Not enough memory. Please clear space."
This looks bad. Your old holowatch doesn't have much data space to begin with, but it has just enough to store and run a single H-drive app. Which suits you just fine since only one chip fits in the drive in the first place. Since FG is currently filling that slot, what on Etrovia could possibly be hogging up that memory now?
(Author's note: Not dead yet! Just been busy this past week with other art. I'll get back to daily updates in a couple of days! Cheers!)

Dato --> Play around in the settings menu to figure out about storage space.
Holowatch --> Toggle settings from Illusionary Holograms to Hardlight Holograms.
Dato --> Play it like a game, because it just got real?

>Dato: Try turning it off and on again. You try the old "off and on" trick, but alas it doesn't seem to work the first time. You reason that it might just take a couple of tries. You proceed to repeat this process multiple times. It fails to fix the problem multiple times.>Dato: Check the settings menu and storage space. You reluctantly exit Fantastic Girlfriends and remove it from the H-drive. You access the holowatch's default menu and check the usage settings. What's this? You see that an unnamed program is currently running, using up 95% of your holowatch's data. Curious, you tap on the program and wait for it to load.======>A screen titled "MGAME" appears. So that's where the MPyre chip disappeared off to. You reason that somehow the chip downloaded itself onto the watch even as its physical copy transformed into the game world. You never expected the Game Wardens to have reached such advancements in VR and hard light technology!
A few windows grace the screen. The leftmost shows a map of your world, with your symbol depicting you in your house on a hill. Something that looks like a river flows to the north, while strange moving triangle icons blip around your house.
The top central window is titled "Industry" though you are not currently producing anything, while the bottom shows "Stats" of some sort. You make a mental note to check the manual on what exactly these are for.
The right window is recognizable as a TLGram function. Your bright green status means that you are on the game's chat channel, and are alone in that respect. Your friend Ellisar's gramoniker is visible but he is offline, as are a bunch of other names you don't recognize. However, you see SN and TT's status set to online despite not being in the Game yet.

It appears that you are high in Brains and Eyeballs, and Also decently statted in bubbles?
You appear to be very weak in Fists, Feet, and Black Holes.
Consider, do your stats seem accurate to "real life"?

>Dato: Check stats screen. You take a closer look at the "Stats" window. Seven bars fill the screen, each divided into 23 segments and filled to various degrees. To the right, a few symbols appear to be labels for each bar. 19- Eye 1- Hand 4- Shield? 1- Shoe? 16- Brain? 1- Vortex? 14- Bubbles?Whatever could these stand for?>Dato: Peruse the manual. You pick up your copy of the MPyre manual and flip to the page regarding the Stats screen.2.2 The Stats Screen
Following the Map screen, another important window to look at is the Stats window, located to the bottom right of the Map (Fig 2.2.1) The Stats screen displays your Player Attributes- seven characteristics that summarize your strengths and weaknesses and will shape the way you play the game. Each one has a symbol next to it- these will be used throughout the game when explaining attack effects and equipment effects. From top to bottom they are:
Perception- your ability to sense things; this ranges from basic visual, audio, and tactile stimuli, to more complex tasks such lie detection and emotional recognition. Might- your physical strength; can be tied to your ability to carry objects, damage dealt, and Constitution- a measure of your health; determines resistance to toxins, how much damage you can take, and overall stamina. Agility- the deftness of your body; a measure of your overall speed, dexterity, stealth, and flexibility; a necessity for crafters, asssassins, and rangers alike. Intelligence- an attribute best summarized as a player's ability to memorize, analyze, and use information; useful for strategy-creation and using machinery. Willpower- the combination of spiritual zeal, resistance to mental attacks, and proficiency in psionics and thaumaturgy; in essence, the measure of one's ability to change the world and resist change Charisma- one's social skills; the ability to befriend, manipulate others, and appeal to the masses; physical attractiveness is also factored into this attribute.
It should be noted that these attributes are a mere glance of your skills and not a completely accurate reflection of your abilities as a player.>Dato: React to your own stats. After years of searching, you've finally found it. In a game meant to dishearten you, you have found hope. And that hope is the Stats page- no, YOUR Stats page, the synopsis of your mental and physical being, an honest generalization of your strengths and weaknesses. For solareons you sought a way to quantify yourself as a person, and here it is right in front of you!
19- Perception, no doubt from your ability to greatly empathize with others and spot romance between others from a mile away. 16- Intelligence, a sign of the depth of your knowledge of lore and hard-earned education. 14- Charisma, for not even the game can deny your natural charm and pleasantness.
So maybe your neither the fastest, the strongest, the most willful, nor even the most healthy; you are confident that your One True Love(s) will love you as you are, all your weaknesses and strengths in stride. It is a shame that the game does not pick up on your likes and dislikes as well; it would surely come in handy for both yourself and the other players.

>Dato: Fantasize about your EXTREMELY HOMOSEXUAL lover(s).You've had many a daydream about your soulmate(s). Though you will accept them no matter what race they are or how they look because TRUE LOVE CONQUERS ALL, one of your favorite fantasies is that of some elven noble swooping you off your feet. Despite your differences in class, star-crossed by nature of the Empire's hierarchy, it will be love at first sight with tokens of romance, bouquets, and dances. Oh, and sex. Very hot and passionate sex. While this isn't very realistic (especially under your current circumstances), you stay optimistic that love has a way of finding its way even in the most perilous of times.>Dato: Message TT.You almost forgot about your friend TT! Like Ellisar, he has not entered the Game yet and will need to soon. Else, the Game Wardens might punish them for a late entry- or at least you think that's what might happen if they don't enter quickly. You pull up the TLGram window and message him.
