Based off of the prompt: You had 5 friends, but now, you only have 4, and one of them is responsible. It's up to you to figure out who done it, before they do it again. To you. Note: This is planned to go over the course of less then a week in comic. I am also employing a mechanic I like to call "seduce or accuse" for my own enjoyment and shenanigans. Accuse should be self explanatory. "Seduce" allows you to instruct the MC to "flirt" with one of their friends when talking to them. This can be beneficial or painfully detrimental to the MC depending on how you go about it. Maybe you seduce the killer into revealing themselves early, or break up an important friendship that leads to the MC's demise? Note Note: You can seduce other characters separate from your friends. But only one. Note Note Note: You don't *have* to use this mechanic. >Begin You wake up disoriented; having spent all night researching and talking to your... friends. It has been two days since a friend of yours has been murdered, and only one since you've gotten a note that warned you to catch the killer you've been lead to believe is one of your 4 friends, or you'd be next. At the moment, you've been a bit of a nervous wreck. But you still have hope.
What will you do?

Images are broken Fixed! (> )> Nice portrait (face)! Try to recall your murdered friend. They seemed so nice? Why would anyone want to hurt them? Did they have a darker side to them?

Reread note. Why do you trust the words on it so much? Does anybody else know about this note?

Try to recall your murdered friend. They seemed so nice? Why would anyone want to hurt them? Did they have a darker side to them? He was actually a pretty sweet person. Sure he was a pretty big guy but he never wanted to hurt anyone. In fact, he was always the one breaking up fights and facilitating make ups. Sure, he wasn't very close to you but you still considered him a friend. Especially when he would share his food with you when you couldn't afford it. You can't think of a clear reason someone would want to hurt him, maybe he hurt someone accidentally or was being a little overbearing. He would make up for it though, he always did.
... If there was a darker side to him, you would have never known.
>Watch cat videos to calm yourself down After booting up your laptop you discover that you already had some tabs open to cat videos! You rewatch some and feel better. Mostly. Reread note. Why do you trust the words on it so much? Does anybody else know about this note? You uncover it from under your desk lamp. It's a pretty simple note you found probably slipped through your front door. Printed so their handwriting wouldn't be captured. You feel kind of sick every time you read it.
It's not that you trust the words, it's that you have no choice but to. You were skeptical and freaked out when you found it but you can't take the risk to ignore it if it is real. Especially since none of your friends know your address except your best friend. And she would never send you something like this, especially after what's happened. Sure, it could imply something else, but what else besides murder? It even implies that it's one of your 4 friends. What else could it be? Also, you accidentally texted the group chat about it when you meant to only text it to your best friend. So everybody aka your 4 friends know about it. Including the killer.
Your friends were pretty freaked out, too. It's because of this that everyone has to meet up by Sunday so you can all take the killer down. If one person doesn't show up, they'll have outed themselves as the murderer. And in that timeframe from now to Sunday do you have to find and gather evidence against them, since you're the only proven innocent out of the 4. And you'll be screwed if you can't. > Go over information about each of your suspected friends. Who is most likely to be the killer? You've been mulling over your suspect list since last night.
Honestly, it's hard to choose anyone since you consider them all your friends. How could anyone point a finger at someone they care about and say they killed someone?
Overall, You'd say D is slightly more likely do to his demeanor. Which leaves a bad taste in your mouth... >Freak the fuck out and break some stuff. You've been trying not to. That would mean screaming and crying and bad things just happen every time you freak out.
This situation, however, does nothing to calm your paranoia or intrusive thoughts. Which you seem to be getting more of. > Someone's texting you. You should probably check that. Oh right. Thankfully, it's your best friend. Probably checking up on you.
She's been worrying a lot about you since the note appeared.
(You're 99% sure she isn't the killer. And not because you don't want her to be.)
You haven't interrogated her much yet about Sunday night.

Do you believe in her witch powers, and that they will help? Or are you just humoring her, and appreciating the gesture that they represent?
Are the police involved?
Maybe go for a walk, get fresh air. Clear your head.

Your room is small but comfy. Stuffed animals have claimed your messy bed, posters hang on the walls, book piles recline, and the shelf next to you remains to be. Thankfully you don't have to worry about anyone breaking in from your window since you're on the third floor. >Go over your alibi, your "friend" may try to pin it on you/ Your alibi is pretty solid. On the night of the murder you were suppose to go with your 5 friends to a party about an hour away from your place. However, you were feeling ill and decided to back out last minute, much to your friends disappointment. So while they were out partying and possibly illegally drinking, you were at home binging the last season of OITNB.
You aren't even on the suspect list, since all four of your friends and any other attendees were interrogated.
This has also proven a disadvantage, since you weren't there you have to rely on the testimonies of your 4 friends that were there. Including the possible murderer. So you have to keep being skeptical. >
And even if you were suspected, there's cameras outside of the front and back doors of your apartment building. And you didn't leave all night.
>Ask who she thinks did it. > Why would she split from the group to go with PB? She's always tried to keep track of everyone whenever you all hung out.
Does this support how D is the more likely suspect? Or maybe it's O? C was always more close to D and O so it would make sense if they stuck together the rest of the night.

Do you believe in her witch powers, and that they will help? Or are you just humoring her, and appreciating the gesture that they represent? Of course you've always been a tad bit skeptical about it. Magic? Really? Belief does plays a part in how strong her witch powers can be, as she mentioned before, "It's like how tinkerbell works, but cooler and with less clapping." And you don't really see the harm in believing, even if it can get a little... strange. She has her own ways of coping and reaching out, and you appreciate that.
You still keep some of the crystals she's given you on top of your shelf. Of course they are. It was just yesterday when you were asked some questions about your dead friend by the police. You even have the number of one of the police investigators in case you needed it.
However, you haven't told them about the note. It's not that you're against it, it's that you'd rather gather some evidence first before turning it in. And you don't want to become embarrassed if it turns out to be a ploy all along. Oh man, Splitting off unexpectedly. This means that romance was afoot. Secret romance. How did G's evening with PB go? PB and G? Romantically involved? Hoo boy. Everyone you know knows PB as the gay heart throb of the group. And for G to be romantically involved after saying she'd never catch feelings for her? You'll definitely tease the shit out of her if it's true. >Ask her why she and PB split from the group if it's not asking too much. >Thank her for her cooperation. The last time you checked PB never had an interest in anything magical, and she wasn't taking any theology or mythology classes. In fact, she's majoring in a computer science.
Was she just pretending to be interested to flirt with G? You'll have a problem there if she was.
How far away are all of your friends houses? Could you go visit them / snoop around? Thankfully you all live in/near campus, so the farthest would be about a 30 minute walk. You're not sure where PB or C lived, but C's place should be crawling with cop cars, and PB's place should at least be near campus.
Everyone on campus has been advised to stay at home or near safety while the police swept through. So all your friends should be at home, which would probably make snooping almost impossible. But you can visit them. D's is closest and should be a 10 minute walk, but at the moment he's your leading suspect, and anything could happen. You could visit G and also visit O after a 25 minute walk, but you'll be likely to leave once it's getting dark, knowing how talkative G is in person.
What will you do?

Wear the crystal around your neck. You put it on. You feel as though you will need all the protection you can get.
And maybe a little luck. >
You can recall that G referred to the crystal as amethyst.
She gave it to you for your birthday, saying that it had special properties. >Check out how O is doing. >Since D is the likeliest suspect, that makes him the most unlikeliest one. Visit him. You'll visit them in that order unless something comes up.
You should bring a couple things before you leave. At the moment you have your phone and your wallet in your pockets, and you can carry up to 5 things with your pockets alone. Your wallet and your phone take up 2, so you can bring 3 more reasonable things with you if you wanted.
A pocket knife sits on the dresser, which you hastily bought yesterday since you're too intimidated by guns. You have little experience using it. Should you bring it?
