When I announced on my tumblr that Hexane was returning in early August, I coupled it with this image.

Anyway, something interesting reposted from the adventure critique thread: "[In response to IS saying that the first 1000 pages kind of sucked]Yeah I thought so too. Though TBH if I made Hexane it would have been a deconstruction of Sburb (which is basically the Matrix) and a homage to the Matrix and Snow Crash, 'cause ultimately Sburb is code made real, but Paradox Space's "reality" is also code. Therefore Viy must have "hacked" Sburb, altering the source code of the session to summon him."

Also reposted from that thread:
Honestly, I can now say, especially because I don't actually like Homestuck anymore, that Hexane isn't really about Sburb at all. It started out that way, but it's more the phoenixes' story than anything else. If I were to rewrite it I would exclude everything Homestuck-related, including Sburb, because it would make for a more interesting, accesible, and straightforward story.
I'm sure everyone who cares already knows my myriad complaints about Homestuck, so I won't list them here. If you don't, feel free to PM me.

BTW, Piono started an adventure called Omegasplit, featuring a character called "erin" who is awfully familiar...

I don't really read other adventures. In my opinion, the entire genre of sburbventures is incredibly overdone and boring, and the most I want to do with it is salvage mine.

It's actually a crossover with something called Destroy the Godmodder that's pretty cool. Read about it here(Be warned, I was playing as a really cringey character. I had to learn how to write somewhere, after all). TBH Viy would actually fit the description of a "godmodder," somebody who warps reality to make it difficult to defeat him. There, I said it Piono.

... You know, considering the last name of the main human character, I have a feeling that Hexane should contain more Monty Python jokes(the first one's even funnier if you consider Hexane characters as aracial):

Have you ever considered getting back into the fanventure scene? Not for another [X]stuck of course, but rather something original? Because it'd be cool to see you hop back in and come up with something that exceeds Hexane.

Indeed. Although, I suppose he wouldn't need to do it in the fanventure community. It'd still be cool to see what he does next.

Between stopping Hexane and starting it up again, I did a lot of thinking about my next project. The first few pages are already up, actually. Needless to say I won't be working on it and Hexane at the same time, but once Hexane is over I'll be coming back to it. The biggest reason it's not on MSPFA is because I don't want it to be associated with Homestuck at all, and no offense but this community really isn't my favorite. ...And please. My pronouns are right under my icon. Use them.

Ah, I apologize. Raised in a solidly Christian home, so it's still hard to get the "non-standard" pronouns into my head properly.

I essentially read all of Hexane non-stop about a month ago, and believe me, it was really sad just seeing all of the hype for the final battles, the build-up, just not really being properly followed through on.
I'm so glad you're coming back to finish up the job! This is one of my favorite fanventures.

Ah, I apologize. Raised in a solidly Christian home, so it's still hard to get the "non-standard" pronouns into my head properly. Me too . For some reason seeing "them," "their," or "they" used as singular triggers my inner grammar Nazi. Heil Spellcheck! ... As an addendum to the Monty Python jokes, something of note is that the original ending of Monty Python and the Holy Grail had a swallow dropping a coconut onto the Frenchman. Just thought you might that useful .

... Okay then I guess I'm just not used to it -_-. About the "Christian family thing:" I am religious, but also socially liberal because there is scientific evidence that "non-normativity" is epigenetic in nature and not people just deciding to act a certain way. Even if I did object to non-heterosexuality, and non-cisbinaryity on a personal level, I would still support rights for it because I fervently believe in free will, the separation of church and state, and the ideals of the Enlightenment (unlike some neo-fascists). ... Wait what was this thread about again? /s
