This adventure is along the lines of Empty Overworld, Filled Dungeons and similar adventures. Every person who responds is their own character. You'll have some heavy competition! The Compendium Orbus-Class Drone: A small droid, made of cheap, light plastic, with minor gravity-warping powers. Movement: 3 max (antigravity) Interaction: Gravity manipulation Inventory: 1 slot plus grab. Combat: Interaction Special: None
Roach-Class Drone: Similarly made of cheap materials, the Roach class drone swaps manueverability and flexibility with space and durability. Movement: 2 max (Crawler legs) Interaction: Spiked legs Inventory: 5 Combat: Interaction. 2d10 Special: None
Weapon-Of-Mass-Destruction Drone: A drone that rolls slowly on little treads, made of shitty plastic, and has a pistol duct-taped to the side. Has a large, red button on top that, when pressed, causes it to destroy itself harmlessly. Movement: 1 max (Treads) Interaction: None Inventory: 0 Combat: Handgun Special: Big Red Button
Charity-Class Drone: You are a rather large robot, with treads to get around at decent speeds, two mechanical arms that can perform minor repairs on anything your repair software says it can, and a sturdy, if inflexible, chassis. Movement: 2 max (Treads) Interaction: Mechanical arms Inventory: 3 Combat: Interaction Special: Repair software
Alpha-Class Drone: A small, bulky, square droid, it can unleash up to 21 tiny bots from itself, manipulating its surroundings. Movement: 2 max (Treads) Interaction: Swarm bots Inventory: 3 (filled with 7 bots each, a total of 21) Combat: Interaction Defense: 20 HP, 13 DEF Special: None
Mellifera-Class Drone: An angry, delicate drone that flies on absurdly small wings. Has a small drill on its butt for interaction and self-defense. Movement: 2 max (Ungainly Flight) Interaction: Drill Inventory: 1 Combat: Interaction Special: None
A small rock floats through a white void. The rock, like many things in the void, had surprisingly few forces working on it; only two of note. One was a startlingly high velocity, remnant of some massive event light-years away. The other was the subtle pull of gravity, edging it, ever-so-slightly, towards another object hurtling through the void. This is just enough to put them on a collision course. A dark dot appears on the horizon for a fraction of a second before the rock hurtles right into it. Said dot makes a loud 'ding!' as the rock shatters into dust, leaving another dent in the metal behemoth. A ship. It has seen better days. The reverberations of the event barely affect the derelict. Only one thing of note occurs. A small cable, hidden in a metal wall, jiggles, reigniting a connection that had been gone for a very long time. A machine whirs to life. > COLOR? > SHAPE? > MODEL?

A single, glowing sensor on your front allows you to check out your surroundings. You are capable of SHIFTING GRAVITY (MINOR), and have a little rotor on top of your chassis; the use of both will allow you to float through the air and maneuver small objects. The room you are in has a computer, with a large screen, displaying the above information. You are placed on a small platter. Mechanical arms are attached to the ceiling. Two doors allow you to exit the room, in directions you whimsically term as WEST and EAST. There is a small wrench in the corner of the room. Current map. The fuscia oval is you, not a part of the room.

The machine continues to whir, ready for the next AI to come online. NeoTTolemoUsing your gravity manipulator, you pull the WRENCH towards you; it dings off the front of your cheap chassis. You're glad you're a robot, or that would have stung something awful. You doubt you have the fine motor manipulation to actually use a wrench, but who gives a shit? You've got a WRENCH. You float whimsically over to the WEST door, which, just like the other door, is left wide open. The room inside is dark, but you have a FLASHLIGHT integrated in your sensors. A four-way corridor, each door leading somewhere new! You look up, and see a big hole in the ceiling. On the other side is a white, blank expanse. Creepy.

I'm gonna try and min max for combat. Watch as that renders me utterly useless in day to day scenarios.

The Compendium is now available in the opening post, which will tell you basic information about all the models (so I don't have to repeat myself). More information to come. ThreadStuckverb (used with object), assimilated, assimilating. 1. to take in and incorporate as one's own; absorb. You feel like you're really onto something, here. You tear up bits of the ground, shoving it into your inventory, gleefully ignoring the arming of weapons in your direction. This is exactly what you meant to do. Yes indeed. You gain one (1) SCRAP METAL. Now there's a hole in the floor. Good job. Oh, and another drone is created; an Alpha-Class. pionoplayerI move right (translate into whatever is accurate) And if that Roach drone tries to pull anything blow it's chassis out. You move EAST into the next room, ignoring these sods. The EASTERN corridor is much like the first; the only differences are the lack of the hole in the roof, and a small box, left forgotten in the corner. The Charity drone follows you, holding a wrench. SuperficialWow there are a lot of repair models aren't there? > Swipe that wrench out of the air then follow the WoMD. > And if that Roach drone tries to pull anything, disassemble its legs. You swipe the WRENCH right out of the air, holding it in your mechanical arms. Yes, this will come in veeeery handy. Despite the fact that your repair arms can do wrench work already. Yes. Very nifty. Then, you roll on out EASTwards, entering the corridor. A dark corridor stretches in all four directions. A small box lies unattended. nighttime_madnessColour: Teal Shape: Pyramid Model: SWARM DRONE AI User: nighttime_madness Password: spooksnjukes ... ... ... Connected. Unleashing drone. DRONE UNLEASHED. 995 DRONES REMAINING. Your chassis boots up (all 22 of them). Welcome to corporeal existence! You are an Alpha-Class drone; a small, bulky, square droid on treads that can unleash miniture crawling bots to do whatever you please. They aren't very effective, or even particularly obedient, but it may come in handy. You are a fairly average droid in most other respects. Your inventory (3 spaces) contains 3 PACK O' SMALLBOTS, each of which contains 7 little bots for you to control. An Orbus-Class drone and a Roach-Class drone are here, the latter of which is tearing up the floor. NeoTTolemno> FUCHSIA ORBUS-CLASS: Regretfully hand over WRENCH to the SUPERIOR REPAIR MODEL. It can make better use of it than you. > FUCHSIA ORBUS-CLASS: Weep the loss of your WRENCH with your electronic non-tears. > FUCHSIA ORBUS-CLASS: Attempt to establish communications with the other drones and talk to them about the BLANK WHITE EXPANSE. > FUCHSIA ORBUS-CLASS: If anyone tries to harm you, use gravity to splatter them to the ground. If they're already land-bound, just flip them over with your gravity-manipulation powers. You regretfully let go of the WRENCH. It was probably going to be useless for you. Though, you also note that a Charity-Class drone probably has wrenches integrated into its powerful REPAIR ARMS. Then again, you can't think of any drone present who can use the damn thing properly at all. You ponder this mystery. You decide communication should be a priority, and attempt to estabilish wireless communications. This proves effortless; you realize that all the drones are providing video and diagnostics information to a server, which can be accessed by any AI at any time. Nifty. Moreover, you can use the BROADCAST command to send a direct message to every drone on the network. On top of that, a database of information on all drones currently discovered is available. Nifty. The Roach-Class drone you were eyeballing earlier has just torn up a bit of the floor. Probably for scrap. That's... good? Oh, and there's an Alpha-Class drone here, now.

WMD apparently means Worst Munchkin's Defeat because I have: A, a built-in self-destruct button, B, a weapon I can't aim, and C, no inventory slots or other such things with which I might improve my ability. Oh well, rewarded as a min/maxer deserves I suppose... Let's see how I can make the best of this situation...

BROADCASTS:NeoTTolemo: The ship appears to be surrounded by a white void. Don't mess with it, it could be dangerous or something?Nameless Voice: Impact in: 5 turns. You have no idea what a 'turn' is, but it doesn't sound like a whole lot of time. pianoplayer>I ask the charity drone to manipulate the box for me since I can't. >I move North, continuing to look for useful things. >I also grumble something under my robotic breath-analogue about shoddy design and being unhappy about being a drone designed for combat that is absolutely useless for combat. Oh well, rewarded as a min/maxer deserves I suppose... Let's see how I can make the best of this situation... EDIT: Welp, looks like I'm getting an early respec. You indicate to the Charity-Class drone that they ought to check the contents of the package. You do so by awkwardly ramming it with your little RV body, then trundling off NORTH. You wish you hadn't chosen this little bot. Sure, having a handgun seems cool, until you realize aiming it is difficult and you have pretty much zero other appreciable capabilities. Not to mention the giant red button, which will most likely reduce you to scrap soon enough. You try to take your mind off it with some exploring, but you find yet ANOTHER corridor, this one exactly like the one before it, except without the box. Oh, and an enormous hole in the ground, opening up to a yawning, pure-white abyss. You can navigate around the edge WESTWARD, but any other direction will be dangerous for you. As you consider plunging yourself into the void, the Charity-Class drone from before trundles up behind you. You hear the sound of tearing duct tape. You have been UPGRADED! Now there are TWO (2) handguns duct-taped to your chassis. ThreadStuckTick pionoplayer off. Push his buttons. You awkwardly swing around the metal in your spiked hands in agitation. It's time you ticked off your fellow AIs by causing one to explode. It's the natural course of action for a gatherer-drone! Of course, he's not in the same room with you, nor do you know who 'pionoplayer' is. You pause, confused. The other AIs in the room regard you warily. NeoTTolemo> FUCHSIA ORBUS-CLASS: BROADCAST about the BLANK WHITE EXPANSE anyway. You never know if these morons will only decide to access the server when it's too late. > FUCHSIA ORBUS-CLASS: Ponder about the uselessness of dear, sweet, precious WRENCH to both you and the SUPERIOR REPAIR DRONE. > FUCHSIA ORBUS-CLASS: Do as you were always meant to do and BLAZE YOUR TRAIL INTO THE UNKNOWN! You were BORN TO DO THIS. You were BORN TO BE WILD! You're THE SHIT! Get A TASTE OF REAL ADVENTURE! Move 1 UP and 2 LEFT. Examine the rooms you run into. You put in a BROADCAST, alerting everyone about the white expanse. There's another BROADCAST, too; apparently, from the ship itself. Troubling. You consider the uselessness of a wrench for a bunch of glorified plastic toys. None of you have hands dexterous enough to make use of it. Perhaps there are actual human crewmen aboard this ship? Also troubling. Just kidding! You don't give a SHIT. You speed off NORTHwards with your impressive scouting speed, noting the great white expanse below you and continuing off to the WEST. You stop after that; you can't keep moving after discovering a new room. This one finally looks interesting. Giant cases, filled with rows upon rows of what you recognize to be... robot-parts! These must be where the drone parts are taken from. Oh, man, this is going to be so handy. You do note that a lot of the pieces are broken, and the shelves destroyed; there's a white hole in the ground. One whole shelf has even fallen over, partially bridging it. There is an exit to the WEST. Superficial> "Sure. Why not?" > Pick up the box and inspect its contents. > Turn out to be upgrades modules. > Install those upgrades to the little droid, so that it can self-defense and not blow everybody up. > Keep following the WMD just in case. For the sake of continuity, let the box be upgrades. You decide to obey the little robot's request. Following the WMD-Drone, you pick up the cardboard box. On closer inspection, though, it appears to also be made of shitty plastic, made to LOOK like a cardboard box. You pop open the box, practically jittering with excitement. You hope so badly that there are some SWEET upgrades in here, so you can pimp the fuck out of some of your fellows, especially the WMD-Drone. In fact, you decide on the spot to upgrade that drone with the first thing you find as you turn your sensors towards the inside of the box. ... ...Great! You scoot happily into the next room, stop the little robot, and duct-tape another gun to its side. You are left with the remaining ROLL OF DUCT TAPE; there's plenty left.

Oh great, another weapon I can't actually aim. I still thank repair drone for the upgrade. Two hard to aim weapons double my chances of hitting something, right? I begrudgingly move West and become partially ecstatic at finding drone parts. If the repair drone comes with, I ask if I could perhaps have some actual graspers given to me, to be able to aim the handguns duct taped to my side, as well as to potentially interact with objects in manners other than shooting them.
