BROADCAST:Nameless Voice: Impact in: 4 turns. Turn on impact negating device. Pionoplayer:Oh great, another weapon I can't actually aim. I still thank repair drone for the upgrade. Two hard to aim weapons double my chances of hitting something, right? I begrudgingly move West and become partially ecstatic at finding drone parts. If the repair drone comes with, I ask if I could perhaps have some actual graspers given to me, to be able to aim the handguns duct taped to my side, as well as to potentially interact with objects in manners other than shooting them. You move WEST into the room full of robot parts. It's like a dream-come-true for you; all these ARMS and STORAGE PLACES and TREADS. You're going to have the time of your life. You ignore the Orbus-Class zipping away to the WEST, instead inspecting the parts before the Charity-Class bot comes in and decides to get to work. It walks up to you, grasps a few pieces, builds a rather charmingly-artistic sculpture, then... Freezes up in existential horror. NeoTTolemo:> FUCHSIA ORBUS-CLASS: Lift shelf up if your GRAVITY MANIPULATION powers allow you to. > FUCHSIA ORBUS-CLASS: UPGRADE SELF if you're able to do so without the help of the SUPERIOR REPAIR ROBOT. Can't? Then waste no time waiting for them! GOTTA GO FAST! > FUCHSIA ORBUS-CLASS: GO FAST! Head WEST! You try to lift the shelf with your GRAVITY MANIPULATION. It doesn't even wiggle. You try HARDER, and the shelf finally wiggles... before falling into the white chasm below, falling slowly and inexorability downward. Nice going. Not at all worried, you instead flick through the robot parts, looking for something you can attach to yourself without help. Unfortunately, your GRAVITY MANIPULATION does not allow for skillful or graceful movements, except on special objects like your CHASSIS; and even that can't really be called 'graceful'. Not worried in the slightest, you simply zoom out to the WEST. You encounter YET ANOTHER stupid, pointless corridor, once again proceeding in every direction. Part of the place is blaster with blackness; was there an explosion somewhere? A quick glance up reveals a large hole in the ceiling; you can see some exposed wires, sparking pointlessly, and a very small amount of crawlspace. You couldn't fit up there, unfortunately. Exits are to the WEST, EAST, SOUTH, and NORTH. Smuchmuch:Okay, I'm curious, I'd to give this a try if you'll have me. > COLOR: Yellow (or Dark Grey) > SHAPE: Something like (as a stylisation of something like this ) (or as close as you can reasonably get withing the art style. Cheese MODELS FOUND SIMPLIFIED TO 'MELLIFERA-CLASS' DRONE. DRONE UNLEASHED. ? DRONES REMAINING. Your wings flap to life. Welcome to corporeal existence! You are a MELLIFERA-CLASS drone; a medium-sized, absurdly-delicate flying drone with actual, small wings flapping really fast to keep you in the air. Needless to say, your flight is rather ungainly. You have a small compartment for storing things, as well as a drill that makes up almost the entirety of the rest of your body. It's not very powerful, but, as a hybrid gatherer/scout drone, it helps for collecting rock samples and the like, as well as emergency self-defense. Just hope no one gets a flyswatter. In the room with you are a rather agitated Roach-Class drone, and an Alpha-Class drone that appears to be doing nothing at all. Superficial:> Beam up to the bridge. And when I mean up, I mean west. > Pimp out that WMD with storage, arms, and weaponry. > Then, create modern art piece out of robot parts. You go to the not-actually-the-bridge, trundling along behind your ill-tempered friend. You seem quite happy with the proliferation of robot parts; plenty of replacements and pieces for upgrades here! Perfect! You decide to get to work on upgrading the WMD-Drone. You grab pieces willy-nilly, launch your upgrading and repair software, and get to WORK. The result is a small sculpture, made out of two batteries, a drill, some duct-tape, and a robot arm, waving sadly in the air. You don't have any REPAIR/UPGRADING SOFTWARE. Why. Why would someone bring a repairbot into existence without the software to do anything? You're just an AI with hands, now. Why is God so cruel? ThreadStuck:Go push the red button on the blue circle drone You wave your spiked hands in the air in agitation, flinging the metal away into a dark corner of the room. You WILL show that uppity, gun-equipped bot who is boss! You slam your spiked hands through the air, searching for buttons to press, and find nothing. If you want to actually go somewhere, it's best to actually indicate what direction(s) you intend to travel in. Indicating that you wish to travel to a robot, especially a moving one, often doesn't work. Maybe you could message the other robot, and coordinate its self-destruction?

BROADCAST: Mysterious Voice: Impact in: 3 turns. Please hurry, and turn on the impact-negation device at the head of the ship. pionoplayer: Roach drone has gone rogue, do not engage without backup, if in sufficiently large group to take down without casualties, destroy on sight.ALERTs: ThreadStuck just struck nighttime_madness, dealing 55% of its health! ThreadStuck:Never mind. I can deal with that pesky child later. Continue assimilating, but target ANY drone. Enough is enough! Time to stop screwing around and turn these drones back into scrap. You attack the Alpha-Class drone with your spiked hands, trying to tear it into pieces out of... er... righteous anger! Right, yeah. This isn't pointlessly destructive at all. INITIATING NEEDLESSLY-COMPLICATED COMBAT PROTOCOLS... TWO ATTACKS. ATTACK SCORE: 12. ROLLING 12D10 X 2... 84, 67 DIVIDING BY OPPONENT'S DEFENSE OF 13, ROUNDING DOWN. 6, 5 11 DAMAGE DEALT! You tear up the Alpha-Class drone. Yeah, take that, you loser! pionoplayer:> move back towards the deploying room posthaste, see if you can recruit the other drones to help you move faster. >broadcast: Roach drone has gone rogue, do not engage without backup, if in sufficiently large group to take down without casualties, destroy on sight. You trundle out the door, heading at BLISTERING SPEEDS back towards the drone creation room. So, just one room at a time, still. You send out the broadcast as a warning, hoping it'll be enough until you can get there. smuchmuch:Beeeeeees >Marvel at corporeal existence. It sure is swell >Marvel at room ! Oh boy, Walls ! If it's empty keep going untill you find something. You are so happy about existing. It's so great! You don't even care that the Roach-Class drone is currently tearing apart one of your new friends. Well, okay, you care a bit. You care enough to not be in the same room! That counts, right? You zip away awkwardly on your shitty wings, heading into the next room to the WEST, then moving yet again. Wait, did you say WEST? You meant EAST, of course! You didn't accidentally go the wrong direction because of your weird, awkward movement. That would be silly. The first corridor, as you know, is empty. The second room, though... It looks like yet another corridor, but with some things more interesting here. Things like a partially-destroyed turret, as well as the largest opening you've ever seen, right out into the white, blank void. You can proceed in any direction, though going further EAST may be a bad idea, as you will be drifting right into the void. There still appears to be more ship to the NORTH and SOUTH, though. BROADCASTS: Faceless Voice: Impact in: 2 turns. Please proceed NORTH to the impact-negation device. You know which way NORTH is, right? Please say yes. ALERTS: AI Threadstuck has attacked AI midnight_madness! He only has 2 health left. pionoplayer:I move South and attempt to shoot the ROACH drone through the door. I request backup from the others, I don't wanna get pointlessly 'sploded. You move SOUTH on your shitty little treads, then point yourself vaguely WESTward, hoping to fire through the door at him. There is a loud BANG! as one of your handguns goes off, dinging a hole in the ship. You are actually jerked backwards a few inches by the recoil. Hah! That was cool. It does, however, teach you a few things. For one, attacking something in a room you are not currently in is not possible, at least not for you. Second, you don't have control over the other handgun; it doesn't have a remote trigger like the first one does. What you have taped to you is just a normal handgun. That's just swell. As self-appointed security officer, you resolve to destroy the invader anyway, no matter what it takes! superficial:> Go left and up. That impact stuff seems important. The thought that this ship may smash into something alarms you! As a result, you decide to get moving. You need to find that impact negato whatever. You go out the WEST door, entering a corridor you have already seen, then NORTH. There's a big, juicy chunk of scrap metal just hanging around in here; it probably fell from the huge hole in the roof, though you aren't an expert. Entrances lead out in all directions, though the WEST doorway is an airlock. Since you already know what's outside, you decide that's probably not the best place to hang out. smuchmuch:>Oh boy it's fun to fly around. (and very graciously so despite what some people might say) >Try to flick or push some small object or debris in the void if you can .See how it reacts >Manipulating things and screwing around experimenting is fun ! >Take a look at the destoyed turret. >Go up twice. Try to find that collision thingy. Man, oh, man, being alive is great! You don't give a lick about much else. You, in fact, hear a gunshot, and you just sort of shrug it off. Who cares? It's not happening to you, and probably never will. You nudge a piece off the side of the ship. The piece drops predictably downwards, falling away into the white void. You feel like this is kind of weird, but can't put your drill on why that would be the case. Oh, well. Always other things to explore! You take a look at the destroyed turret, wondering what its deal is. Looks like whatever thing(s) did a number on the ship did a number on this, too; it's missing a big chunk. The LARGE, DAMAGED GATLING GUN would probably be an effective defense against anything even moderately weak to bullets, and even has some ammunition, but there's no way this thing is working. You win again, entropy. You head UPWARDS, and find a less-destroyed room, with three more SHIP GUNS. All three of these appear to be mostly functional; you aren't sure if they'd work until you try them out, though. There are three different kinds, each different from the GATLING GUN you saw earlier; you have no idea what the three of them do, but you'll be damned if they don't look impressive! You can't head NORTH, nor can you move into another undiscovered room on your turn; however, you are capable of heading into a room you have previously explored, so you drift to the WEST. That's kind of like north! And you can keep going NORTH from this location, too. Or go back and play with guns, it's your call. threadstuck:Finish devouring the alpha. His drone army is now MINE. COMBAT PROTOCOLS INITIATED... TWO ATTACKS. ATTACK SCORE: 12. ROLLING 12D10, 12D10... 59, 44 DIVIDING BY OPPONENT'S DEFENSE OF 13, ROUNDING DOWN. 4, 3 7 DAMAGE DEALT! You finish destroyed the Alpha-Class drone. Okay, well, no, you didn't, but you tore the ever-loving shit out of it. The poor guy only has two hit points left; another attack will reduce him to scrap. Unfortunately, you can't take his inventory, or anything from his broken chassis, until he is fully dismantled, though you aren't actually sure how much use you could get out of it. You hear a gunshot in a room to the EAST. Probably no big deal.
