The latest news:
-There's been a lot of plans that have been changed throughout the whole thing, I haven't been working on this thing since like, april or may, and suddenly turned that unproductiveness around in december, and ended up making at least 28 tracks, and a better version of Ducksong. There are two uploads in my Soundcloud for you. (if you like that site, I do) -The whole album is chiptune, like literally made out of Famitracker, for maximum convenience, I guess. |

The browser of my computer got viruses and now it's gone, I can only do this operations on my phone for now on (so sad, really). This thing has made me change the original plans... You are just getting one bonus song from the album. Don't worry this is good I guess. I'll have to upload everything to TinDeck so there wouldn't be a lot of problems. Stay tuned for more news. As I already thought and you may noticed, this project is on a little hiatus. Obvious reasons such as my computer not working properly and some other contributions I'm currently doing, the time I have right now is really small, it's just something that always happens in October and November. So, the project is going out of hiatus on December.
Some other news: The Structure
As far as this thing is right now, there will be at least 30 tracks (and 2 bonuses). Every official character that stayed at the end and that replaced characters that stopped playing will have their own track (people like goldeneyes and stuffandthings, sorry!), Some locations (such as the Well and the Castles) also have their respective tracks as well. I also decided to make a track for the kings and another for the characters that respawned in the well.
IF you were a player and you have some ideas for your character track (or any track, to be specific) tell me and I will consider it.

To be clear, Colored Castles was a fun fan adventure back on the MSPAforums that involved folks splitting into four different teams (four different colored castles) to via for dominance (but mostly shit around) with a well in the center that had a bunch of other guys. Is that the same Colored Castles you are referring to?
If that's the case, to my knowledge, that adventure has been dead for months. It was great, though (I was a participant, can confirm). Do you have any reason for making an FA about it?

Is that the same Colored Castles you are referring to? Yes! That's the exact fanadventure I'm referring to! And yeah I remember you, too. I also participated in this fanventure, if you remember me. (Coy) If that's the case, to my knowledge, that adventure has been dead for months. It was great, though (I was a participant, can confirm). Do you have any reason for making an FA about it? Well, the main reason is just because I liked that fanadventure, and maybe because I just got bored from doing abything at all. I hope that you don't have a problem with it. |

I think every adventure should have a soundtrack of some sort, so for this fanadventure to get one is a big deal to me! I hope it goes down smoothly, you seem to have a lot of the framework already in mind.

Progress. Hey! I'm semi-back (still busy but not for long!) I have a week of hard work and then I'll be free of school so I can start working with this thing already. BUT actually I already made some progress with one track in the last 3 days and I plan on showing it to you. Just a little representation of "How Weird and Crazy this Album will be" so stay tuned for the next week and let's see if I can finish this track. And yeah, Ducksong and the CC theme I posted on my Tumblr are also representations, too. So go and listen those if you haven't! |

More progress. Seeing this thing, not updating, got me kind of worried. So I'm just going to throw this here for the ones that can read it.  Making stuff on MuseScore is fun! It gets me more concentrated in composing. Especially if I'm trying to make a really long song. |

Hello There!!!
So as you may see, I'm being really generous right now. There's a lot of work that I still have to do, BUUUUT I'm just so hyped that I'm showing you some of the already finished tracks. Enjoy I guess.  -  "Land" is the first track. That's it. An introduction to this monstrosity. "Brave Knight" Is a character track. It's one of the recently finished ones that I just loved how it turned out! Of course there's a lot more, but I don't want to spoil everything (just like Tensei does) so maybe I'll post some more music next time! (I'm keeping those high-quality and 4+ minutes away from you until the official release, just wait for those not a big deal) |

It's been a while, right?
Yeah, there's some big news, and I really mean it. BIG.
I haven't made anything colored-castles-related for at least the beggining of January, it was a really long time I must say, but it's because of a problem that arised. It's mostly just me but I think it's not only that.
I don't like the way this album's going. I've started doing it with many doubts about serious stuff (quality, being the most worrying of all) and I've finished a total of 10 tracks by now. But this 10 tracks weren't enjoyable to do. In fact, they were a problem for me. In the course of 5 months I've improved a lot and changed my style so many times that I noticed all the flaws that the album has, and there were many. I've also changed computers and that made me realize how different it is to work with better equipment (but that's another thing).
Of course that doesn't mean I'll stop doing this. I'm going to take a different direction.
I'm starting all over again. And this time I'm not going to have any problems whatsoever. It'll be mostly chiptunes, for your information.
I'm not going to give colored castles a crappy album. I'm completely sure about this decision. Enjoy the 8-bit then!

Oh man, I remember reading through the entire Colored Castles thread right before the forums went down. Such a fun and creative thing - the falling flash was one of my favorite moments.
Awesome to see a fan album for it, nice work!
