It kinda died out since people mostly use it for roleplaying.
The pesterchum program is really shitty for actual OOC conversation, people opt for things like discord or skype instead.

Sorry for dropping in super late, but here's a tip for new Windows 10 users that discover this forum:
If your installer does not work, try right-clicking it to open the "properties" menu. Once you're in the prop. menu, click "Compatibility". In this, you should see "Compatibility Mode" near the top. Click the checkbox and set the dropdown menu to "Windows 8". After this is done, run the installer and it should work! If it doesn't, then you are using a broken version of the installer.
Now you can use pesterchum to chat with your homestuck friends, or just some randoms! Congrats!

Could you please send me some more thorough instructions, I am still having trouble. It is giving me the following error when I cd into the decompressed directory and type "./pesterchum.sh" (I had to rename the Bash file to add the .sh, trying without it didn't work). EDIT: No wait, never mind, I got it working on my own. The trick was to add "#!/usr/bin/python" to the top of Pesterchum.py, and run that. Anyway, if anyone wants to pester me, I am, once again, dracoRex. |

Heyy, guys. Can I have a little help? I recently got a new laptop with Windows 10 and Pesterchum is tiny?? I've tried adjusting my screen's resolution and that hasn't helped. I have a 4k monitor (according to my friend), so I thought that changing the resolution option would help, but it didn't.

I always keep Pesterchum on so feel free to talk to me any time. I have three troll characters, and might eventually get a human as well. Here are my chumhandles- mythicalPythium (MP, purple-blood male). falseIllusion- (FI, violet seadweller male). underwaterSpectacle (US, violet seadweller female). theDarkness is used for simply talking to me myself and not roleplaying, if you do need to talk in OOC while we are RPing, please use (( )) to do so. I do canon AND non-canon RPs, but I prefer canon. I'm only at Act 6 Intermission 2 Part 2 ( of the CoLaBHQ videos), so please refrain from spoiling anything beyond that.
