While messing around with making themes of different shapes, I've somehow made one which I am actually slightly proud of. So, I decided I'd share it on here! Please, tell me what you think! There is one bug, which I couldn't get rid of: right-clicking names in your Chums list brings up a black box. Running the mouse over this box fixes the problem. P.P.S. I realized I never explained how to 'install' the themes in my last post. After you extract the folder I've provided for download, put the folder corresponding to the theme you want into C:\Pesterchum\themes Once you've done this, you can select the theme from the normal list! P.P.P.S. On this theme, the 'black hole' is the "Offline" mood. |

Since I got on the topic of making themes last night, I was struck by INSPIRATION.So, I made a theme based off of the fraymotif screen used in [S.] Collide Picture: Download: FrayMotif.zip (351.33 KB) The Aspects are the Mood Buttons, Void is offline. "Compose" is pester, and "Add player" is for adding chums. I hope y'all enjoy! As always, constructive criticism and/or requests are always welcome! |

Running the mouse over this box fixes the problem. nice theme, loving the soft tones of blue you chose, as well as the opacity tweaks. you don't actually have a bug in regards to right clicking the chums portion, i poked the .js file a bit and you set the text color to black there. switch "color: black" to "color: white" for the "chums" line and the text color should be ok. |

So, does anyone have any idea what's up with the connection troubles? Asking around, most people who can't connect are getting one error 10061, which, according to Google, usually only crops up when FYI servers are down, or your firewall is acting up.
Thanks to trial and error with the memos I'm on, I know it isn't the latter, and the fact that only some people are affected at any given time makes me think it's not the former either, so does anyone have any clues?

yeah, i'm pretty sure there was an attack two days ago. i had some errors earlier in the morning at the time and couldn't log in for a while. that, and calSprite was also offline for the past day and a half. i didn't quite suffer from the 10061 errors like others have, so i guess i was lucky.
i asked a mod and and ex-mod to inform GD within the past two days as i cannot contact him personally myself. i'm ASSUMING everything should be fine now since calSprite is back online.

I actually have three handles right now, one for each of my OCs, but not an OOC handle. Avalon(quirkyQuoll, QQ) is my trollsona, and is literally me as a troll, so pester her if you want to talk to me. This is the Pesterlog from a roleplay memo(Turrd Burrglarrs United, in case you ever want to try and interact with them) I had with myself using all three handles for the hell of it. Beck(potatoDestroyer, PD) was created on the spot and has a very erratic, unanchored personality type in the roleplay, starting out as a crazy, incredibly annoying person and mellowing out over the course of the memo until she was able to pass off as a bad Dave roleplayer before going completely insane once again right before everyone left. Breksa(nightLight, NL) has been around for a while now, but I only actually confirmed her handle when I decided to do this whole memo thing. As with Beck, her personality is partially undecided, and she pretty much slowly turned into a crappy Equius over the course of the memo. As for the whole 'Caves' thing in the beginning, I posted a clean screenshot of the roleplay to a website with a rule against swearing, and since there might be interested people with Pesterchum there, I decided to have the characters be expecting the arrival of people from there for some unknown reason, leading to the decision to cut down on my swearing in case they did actually show up, which they didn't. hi, ive had trouble opening pesterchum, ive had it for awhile, whenever id click on it, it would show the mouse loading icon, then nothing. i uninstalled, reinstalled, tried other download links, etc. and nothing's working! can someone maybe help?

My Linux Pesterchum broke again, so from now on, I guess I am only dracoRexmobilefortress. EDIT: I got it working again. Now you can usually find me as dracoRex on my laptop or dracoRexmobilefortress on Chumdroid. Though I also have democraticGuitarist, megaMewgox, and nickMultiversemaintenanceman. EDIT 2: If you are using Pesterchum on a Linux computer, and it suddenly starts refusing to open, head to the .pesterchum folder in your home directory, and check the pesterchum.js file. For me, the issue was that the dictionary contained within was broken. The last few characters were duplicated, causing the issue. If this sentence was the dictionary that was broken, it would look like this.ok like this. If that does not work, try deleting the entire .pesterchum directory. |

I am not quite sure, but there is a folder labled "MacBuild" in the Linux version, at least. Also, I have heard talk of a mac version existing. And the changelog contains the lines "**Mac**: For Mac specific git access and source code visit github.com/Lexicality/pesterchum.", "(Note: Bleeding Edge is up-to-date with all Mac specific changes.)", and "* Mac Bug fixes" (followed by "* Create all datadir stuff - Lexi [lexicalNuance]" on the next line). Thee TODO lists a few mac bugs as well. Also, I am not sure if this has been mentioned here yet, but Random Encounters are working again, for anyone who did not know. |

Please feel free to pester me if you want to roleplay. If both dracoRex and dracoRexmobilefortress are online, try both. Do not try any of my other chumhandles unless both of those are offline. That also goes for if you do not want to roleplay, by the way. Well, I uninstalled Pesterchum a while ago, but since I'm working on a fanadventure and never deleted the files from my computer I figure I may as well get back into it. My handle is blizzBlitz. I probably won't make an RP handle, but I can come up with a pseudo-character on the fly if you want someone to bounce ideas off of. I'll be more open to OOC chat though.
