A.K.A., the requisite "Things Homestuck has made me do" thread, because I haven't seen one of those around here. So, with tomorrow being the last day of Homestuck, it's time to reflect. What insane things has Homestuck gotten you to do over the years it's been around? Any memorable quotes you've integrated into your daily vernacular? Any particular merchandise you wear whenever you go out to the store? Any projects of yours that have been deeply affected by Homestuck in some way or another? And to get the ball rolling, here's my own answer to those talking points... Just the whole general way of the narration's way of speaking as well as certain ways the characters talk has ended up influencing my writing style as a whole. I've practically adopted Nepeta's ":33" emote in my everyday texting, and I occasionally use 8^y in response to certain situations. I've tried to always wear at least one piece of homestuck clothing when I go out to the store, be it the Calliope zippie hoodie or the Nepeta knit beanie hat. I do it just to see if I get a reaction from any fellow Homestuck fans around. No real luck so far in that respect. XD As for influencing projects, fanfiction aside, I've been working on a video series for years now that started as the concept of "Caliborn in Skyrim," although by now that's sort of evolved into its own thing beyond the name being the same... but it's ended up with major Timey Wimey shenanigans going on as of late, so I guess the original idea still holds true to some degree or another. So, yeah, what about you? What crazy ways has Homestuck made itself a part of your life?

I just recently discovered that 4/13/2009, the day Homestuck started, was quite an important day in my life, for completely unrelated reasons; at the time, I had never heard about Homestuck or MSPA... it was just a day in which Things Happened. I didn't make the connection before because I didn't remember the exact date of that important day in 2009, just that it was Easter Monday; Recently, I checked what was the actual date of Easter Monday in 2009... and, OF COURSE, it was the day Homestuck started It also seems several important moments in Homestuck matched important moments in my life, even before I started reading it at all (I started in July 2013); and then, this never stopped being a thing (f.e. the period around [S] Game Over was especially eventful). Someone would have talked about circumstantial simultaneity, but he was notoriously a pompous asshole.

I've written two papers on Homestuck for College courses; both received high marks.

I dunno if this is a stretch, but Homestuck basically inspired me to write my own work of fiction. It's not really related to Homestuck in terms of plot, setting, or theme, but seeing Hussie make such a huge story made me want to make one too. So I am. It's still in rough draft form though. I will definitely mention and credit him in the preface for inspiring me.

Some Homestuck phrases have made their way into my everyday vocabulary. "All of the x, all of them" and "Bluh" in particular. Other than that I haven't noticeably changed, although I do think it's influenced my personality a bit.

I've been saying "blar" a lot more. And "that's really all there is to say on the matter".

I say jegus now. Like seriously I say Jegus christ now, I can't help it.
Also, Homestuck introduced me to a lot of fandoms like Sherlock,Hetalia, Undertale, and Anime.
EDIT *I'd also like to note that I've kept my unread email amount to a steady 413 ever since act 7.

Same to saying things like "bluh" or "that's all there really is to say on the matter." But also, since it's graduation season again I figured I'd share a picture of my graduation cap from last year...I tried my best to imitate Comic Sans with the words, lol.

Well I guess it's not a fandom but it is a community that HS has introduced me to. I personally consider anime a fandom because even though it's consisted of lots of sub fandoms it's sort of treated like one big fandom.
