Thats a good idea, you already saw the close side, it was pretty bare, but maybe the other sides got something usefull. You quickly flip the lid to the other side and walk around to get a peak.

is the blood fresh? if you're a skeleton it means you've been dead for a while. if the blood is fresh, that means someone has been here recently, meaning there's a way in and out of here.

You don't have flesh, so it shouldn't cut you.
Consider sensing more blood. Like a <man-sized> amount, and see if it's moving at all.

Maybe if you were super ripped, but you seem to be lacking a lot of muscle recently, so odds are that the door will remained closed for the time being.
