I'm going to express some descenting opinions here: I never understood why so many people love Gunnerkrigg Court. I mean, don't get me wrong it's a good comic; it's got an entertaining story of consistent quality, and for a webcomic that's great! But I'd never put it among my favorites because it never pulled my into the story or inspired any emotional connection Also, I'm not that big a fan of Dumbing of Age. I still follow it, but that's because I was more a fan of his earlier, wacky humor based comics. Dumbing of Age, with its attempts at more serious stuff and its seemingly anvilicious attitude, is honestly failing to keep my interest. I like Gunnerkrigg Court because of the world and the stuff about it. I'm a huge sucker for lore, so it grabs my interest pretty easily. The characters are worked on, and there's SOME sort of story, but I tend to ignore the main story because the one being revealed is a lot more interesting to me.

I like a bunch of webcomics, though since a lot of them are gag comics with irregular schedules or more plot-focused ones that I prefer to binge on than get one page at a time (like Cucumber Quest and Dr. McNinja) I really only keep up to date with a handful of them. I think at this point it's just, like...C&H, SMBC, Diinosaur Comics, Channelate, and Dumbing of Age. Check on Nedroid every once in a while.
As mentioned I like Cucumber Quest and Dr. McNinja, though I'm practically never caught up (if McNinja really is ending then I should probably catch up at some point though (also, daaang)). What else do I like...Oglaf is pretty great. I also like some bizarre comics like Perry Bible Fellowship or Three Word Phrase. Was surprised how much I loved Go Get a Roomie when I read that like, more than a year ago now? (Man, I do not keep up with my webcomics). Oh, and Sinfest. I caught up with that a couple of years ago, I really liked it. It did change direction considerably after the author discovered social justice, though I don't necessarily think it got worse, just different. That was a while ago, don't know how it's been going.
I only started reading Dumbing of Age a few months ago, it's pretty good, and I like it, though Best Character really doesn't appear often enough (Mike hasn't appeared once since I caught up!). I've read bits of Willis's other comics, mostly chunks of Shortpacked, which itself looks fun. I kind of feel tempted to read the entire Walkyverse but that is one intimidating archive.
I have my bookmarks like fucking full of a bunch of webcomics I want to get to at some point, but time is limited and a lot of them would require a lot of it.

The only other webcomic I've gotten into is Ava's Demon, which is amazing and the art is amazing. I highly recommend it. I think the only issue with the comic is that Ava is really the only character I like and I'm not that invested in the other characters.

Another one just popped in my head. It was some sort of time-traveling comic which focused on a somewhat scantily clad dinosaur-age woman (somewhat like the Chrono Trigger character I forget the name of as well) and another guy from like, a victorian-age setting who got trapped after his time machine broke. I remember that had a complete story. Can't remember the name of the comic though.
Edit much later: Dawn of Time. It's a good read.

I think the dark haired guy with the stutter seems interesting (can't remember his name) and so does whichever spirit follows Gil around (again can't quite remember her). But yeah, generally Ava is the most likeable character for me thus far. And on an unrelated note, I remembered another comic I really like, although right now it's just a suggestion comic on MSPFanventures, but it's really good - Kidutus. I also created/submitted the character Jace, so that's cool, haha.

I really like Neo-Kosmos and the story is really starting to pick up. There's definitely Homestuck influences in it, too I just started binge-reading Paranatural the other day and man is it good. 10/10 would recommend. Art is great, humor is great, story and characters are great... I used to keep up with OOTS once upon a time but then I stopped for some reason. Which was... like 8 years ago. Good lord. I'd have quite a lot to catch up on. I think next I'll look at Ava's Demon and Demon Street. Maybe Cucumber Quest? Whatever it takes to fill the Homestuck-shaped hole in my Homestuck-shaped heart.

A lot of these are amazing, but here are some others that haven't been mentioned: Strong Female Protagonist - Interesting comic about superheroes, social justice and morality in general. Prague Race - Fantasy/horror adventure about some young adults travelling to a strange fantasy world. Pretty cool, TBH. The Last Halloween - Abby Howard's AMAZING horror adventure story about some children trying to save a world overrun by monsters. Axe Cop and Bearmageddon - Two comics by Ethan Nicolle, one written by his kid brother (age 5 when it started but at least 10 now) about an axe-wielding cop saving the world from ridiculous threats in ridiculous ways (on hiatus or something as far as I know, may not return any time soon if at all), and one about a hostile planetary takeover... by bears. (Definitely on hiatus but returning some time in the near future) Not Drunk Enough - An action/horror story about people trapped in a lab with monsters, it's very colorfully drawn and features some pretty interesting characters. Stand Still, Stay Silent - A post-apocalyptic fantasy story about exploring some Nordic countries after the world has ended and society rebuilt. Somehow updates FIVE DAYS A WEEK despite having fucking amazing art that looks like it should take days of exhausting work to produce!!!!

I remember Stand Still, Stay Silent. I was into it until it added the magic elements and then lost interest. I was more interested in something that played the concept a little more straight I guess. I have heard very good things about it, it just didn't quite click for me after that point.

Dumbing of Age, with its attempts at more serious stuff and its seemingly anvilicious attitude, is honestly failing to keep my interest. TBH I think that DoA is actually not very preachy at all, and the problem is just that people will call anything "heavy-handed" if it even acknowledges certain social issues at all. This is an old post to reply to, but I was just thinking about why I viewed it that way and it occurred to me: It doesn't seem anvilicous because it addresses social issues, but rather, because it deals with these issues in absolutes. For instance, Christianity is percieved as universally a bad thing. Even with the good characters that Christians, their religion comes off as being one of their faults, and positive impacts of Christianity are not addressed. But perhaps the most blatant example of this is not a social issue at all: One character is making a ruckus in the hallway and another rather rudely and jerkeshly trys to get her to stop. The first character is portayed as being completely in the right, despite the fact that she was disturbing others and completely ignoring their request for peace and quiet, not to mention being rudely antagonistic about it as well.

Ok I'll list all the stuff I read. I have almost all of them on an RSS Reader so I'm usually caught up on all of them.
- Order of the Stick: The BEST webcomic, simply put. Starts as D&D gad comic, becomes an epic tale that happens to be told in a D&D based universe. Long, thrilling and has great characterization. Also has plot plots that actually get resolved and long term planning. And some of the best villains I've ever seen.
- Darths & Droids: Another RPG based webcomic, this one tells the story of all the Star Wars films as if they were RPG games. Funny most of the time and tends to pull epic plot twists every now and then, but not one of my favorites since you usually know what's about to happen.
- Goblins: Yes, I like D&D webcomics. This starts similarly to OotS, then takes a much harsher turn towards epic and violent. Story is really great and so is characterization, but writing is sloppy at times and the pacing is slow. If you have patience it's worth it though, it's ridiculously epic.
- Mokepon: Parody of Pokemon games, with a protagonist who doesn't care about Pokemon but is forced into it. Really funny and had some likable characters, and epic pokemon battles.
- Rumplestiltskin: From the same author of Mokepon. This one isn't much a parody as it's the exactly same story but with much deeper characterization. The main character is kind of a bitch and the title villain is a complex character, for example. Recommended, but pacing is really slow.
- Dr. McNinja: You guys know this one, comedy webcomic with cool action and a consistent plot, which likes to play with ridiculous things yet still write a story where they make sense.
- xkcd: The best nerdy gag webcomic.
- SMBC: Another great nerdy gag webcomic. Has a more "serious" tone than xkcd, which leads to some great jokes.
- Lv. 30 Psychiatry: Videogame gag webcomic, about a pokemon (Gardevoir) who is a therapist for videogame characters. Most of the jokes are about Nintendo characters. Has a very slowly moving plot, but the gags are great.
- Gunnerkrigg Court: Harry Potter-esque story that is more focused on mystery than adventure. Great plot and characterization, but don't expect much action.
- Girl Genius: Adventure comic about a world that's ruled by mad scientists. Has a very complicated plot with millions of characters that moves somewhat slowly, but is really fun and has really likable characters, and top level worldbuilding.
- Unsounded: A thief girl travels with her zombie sorcerer bodyguard. Then they get involved in a conspiracy involving kidnapping of children, experiments with magic and a war between two dictatorial countries. The level of detail in worldbuilding is unrivaled by any other comic I know. The story is kind of pessimistic but has likable characters who manage to survive through it. And the art is great.
- Spinnerette: Super-hero comic about a silly girl with Spider-Man powers. Tends to play all the silliness from super-hero comic books very straight, but drops some heavily dramatic arcs every now and then.
- Neokosmos: MSPA like webcomic about kids who are stuck in a space station. Almost no plot yet but seems good so far.
- Awaken: Another failry new webcomic which could be described as Divergent meets Attack on Titan meets Bleach. Typical shounen protagonist accidentally joins a revolution against the empre he lives in, and also unlocks some rad magical sword powers in the way. Plot is just starting but also seems good so far.
Yes, I love webcomics.

Tends to play all the silliness from super-hero comic books very straight, but drops some heavily dramatic arcs every now and then. - Powerpuff Girls Doujinshi: Teenage version of PPG, with characters from basically every 90s and early 2000s Cartoon Netwok show. Has very cool action and a good plot, but the pacing has been glacial lately. - Grim Tales from Down Below: From the same atrist as the above one (but another writer). Set on a parallel universe, and focuses on Grim (from Billy & Mandy) who got maried with Mandy and now has two children (the protagonists of the story). Starts really epic, then moves on to more character-based stuff and the plot also gets glacial. But it's still decent if you read it in batches. - Neokosmos: MSPA like webcomic about kids who are stuck in a space station. Almost no plot yet but seems good so far. - Awaken: Another failry new webcomic which could be described as Divergent meets Attack on Titan meets Bleach. Same dudes, I think, and practically same thing except with LoTR DM of the Rings is not by the same people, but it is the inspiration for Darths and Droids. Personally, I don't think DM of the Rings is as good as Darths and Droids, but it's still pretty good.
