Additionally, I also noticed that in that panel of Snowman creating Doc Scratch there's apparently an art error in Snowman's pose: the back part of her crown is missing. If you look at that panel of when she's just removed her ring, that part of the crown is not absent.
I guess Andrew probably hadn't saved the asset for that pose of Snowman in a separate file and simply extracted it from that earlier panel, but in extracting it he (or Photoshop) forgot to copy over that part of the crown.
I like to imagine that she took off her formal crown as a crude attempt to go undercover, because she can't let the general public find out that she's abdicated/de-prototyped. But because the Queen is a vain creature, her ego wouldn't let her go around with anything less that another, slightly less ornate crown.
If you look at it that way, then the hat she started wearing after joining the Felt might also have served an ulterior motive, namely protecting her from the Alternian sun in a manner more civilized than the hood of an exile.
JANE: They struck at just the right moment, while the Witch was out searching for them. They had established a series of clever decoys to lure her away. JANE: Their assault on the Derse prison was furious, with only myself and a few agents on hand to fend them off. JANE: Their aim was to free Jake and Roxy, and I can only presume, me as well from my corrupted state. JANE: But I was not about to go down easy. Oh no. JANE: The melee was fierce, and alas... JANE: Not without casualty.
I forgot that Jane wasn't the only one to fend off the attack of the meteor crew, she had some Agents with them.
Perhaps that explains the absence of DD and CD in the endgame, they might have died here?
Probably because the name of the place is Land of Brains and Fire.
Whoops, I accidently read Fish's post as "The brains Feferi is prodding when Sollux arrives to his land are alchemized copies of his brain, not just some of the roaming floating brains of LOBAF," when he meant the other way around. My bad!
ARANEA: The point is, you have to know how to handle her. ARANEA: Regal types can 8e very touchy, even the ones who seem to revel in anarchy. ARANEA: 8ut if you know all the right things to say and do, she will happily hand over the keys to the kingdom, so to speak. ARANEA: After all, royalty is royalty.
