The origin of Paradox Space (wouldn't you like to know what that is? ) happens in such a way that it's unlikely that there's any one "first universe". And that's not how time shenanigans tend to work. Baah. Dammit, Homestuck, have something that has a set origin for once!

"It was bad, but I've accepted it and/or have hope for the epilogue."
This may or may not just be me strongly disliking open endings. I don't actually have that much hope for the epilogue, but... that option in the poll felt like the right choice for me.

If not hope for the epilogue, maybe hope for a fan project to give a less open ending?

If not hope for the epilogue, maybe hope for a fan project to give a less open ending? Fan content can be very good, but not as satisfying. I enjoy reading theories and speculating and I read fanfics sometimes, but I'll always know that it's "not official" and it will ruin it for me, considering that I'm pretty sure Hussie has a certain ending in mind, even though he left it open to speculation. Homestuck was meant to be a puzzle-like story, so it's not like he thought "ok, I don't know what happens next, if this or that, and it doesn't matter to me, because my intention is to leave everything unresolved and with more possible solutions and explanations". Or anyway, that's the vibe I got from it. If I actually felt like that was what he's always had in mind, I'd find fan content to be satisfying. But considering that I feel like his mindset was more in line with "ok, I know what happens next, but it doesn't matter to me, because I want to leave it unresolved for my own artistic reasons or whatever, and I'll let people think about it", I can't look at fan content and feel as sated as I would reading the author's version of things.

As much as I am fan of stuff like lands or stands from jojo because they allow for so much creativity, yeah I hate open endings too, because I really want to know what the author would do if he weren't to make a open ending. But I don't think this was intended as a open ending. On the bad side, I don't know what this was intended to be anyways.

IPGD confirmed that the Meta Ending theory is wrong:

IPGD confirmed that the Meta Ending theory is wrong: that is quite literally the exact thing she's asked people NOT to do, though what she says on tumblr is meaningless. ipgd herself has said if she's gonna give insider info she'll go to 4chan because she likes it better there not saying it's right or wrong, but just that ipgd's thoughts (which. we don't even know if she's saying the meta theory IS a reach. she might be using it as an example) have no impact on the definite "answer" to the ending

The animation was great. It was nice to see the loop finally close, the "Homestuck is my favorite anime" meme taking a whole new meaning. However the plot was still unresolved in many ways. I guess it is alright to leave it up to interpretation, but that's still kind of frustrating. But yeah, that was the good ending of the game, and a "meh" ending of Homestuck.

The ending itself was just fine - it was the community's reaction that really got me annoyed and disappointed.
