Sirius: Dust...? Not exactly perfect, nor clean.
Sirius: But, I suppose it's better than a rehash of the slime incident.
You watch as Sirius pulls aside a passing mechanic, or is he a technician? He looks to be maintenance at the very least. The Commander pulls him aside aside before he can go into the door he was aiming for to talk.
Sirius: Officer, I need a full sweep of the ventilation systems.
Sirius: There's dust collecting inside, we can't have it contaminating the air supply once we enter deep space.
Sirius: It may cause medical issues, or agitate existing ones.
Sirius: This is the Prince's ship, meaning Prince Orion will be on board for the duration of the time.
Sirius: Everything must be perfect.
Mechanic: I... uh, yeah, okay?
Mechanic: I'll, um, get right on it.
The mechanic looks thoroughly confused, but just nods his head along with what the commander tells him, better to blindly agree than risk trouble through questions and unneeded commentary.
Fayre: Wait, what's this about slime?
Fayre: Was there alien slime aboard the ship? Was it alive?
Sirius: It's nothing you need to be concerned with, I promise.
Sirius: You won't find a speck of slime aboard these ships, the problem was taken care of quite a while ago.
Fayre: Aw, It'd be cool to see it, though.
Orion==> Just keep walking away from the weirdness.
Yeah, you're okay with weirdness, you're a little odd yourself at times, but this? This is getting to be a bit too much for you. Maybe it's just the stress, hype, and other overwhelming emotion that's making everyone act a tad strange. It also is starting to feel like Sirius is making decisions without asking if you're okay with them, like, you don't have a problem with there being a bit of dust in the vents, not everything needs to be absolutely perfect- you're not your sisters.
Either way, you kind of want to get a break from it. So while the others are talking, you just turn around and start walking, content with just touring the rest of the ship on your own.

You spent an undetermined amount of time just exploring the rest of the Leviathan, climbing up from the cargo bay, to the crew deck and so forth, peeking your head into various rooms. You've located the Mess Hall, Medic Room, bathrooms, several crew quarters, and so forth. You crossed paths with many soldiers and crewmen, though none of them seemed comfortable with talking to you. You'll have to change that as soon as you can. You want your crew to be able to talk to you.
Huh?
Okay, that is a lot of flashing lights from a single room, and some of that little soft whirring noises from computers. No sign of people, though.
By the number of screens, and the vibe of 'I Am Important', you'd say you just found the control room. On the main screen, there seems to be various little notes and files flashing across it, and on some of the smaller screens you can see digital displays of various solar systems. This is... kind of cools, if a bit claustrophobic. |

You approach the main console and stare at the numerous buttons scattered all about. Most are not labeled and you've no idea what anything in here does, rarely were you ever allowed into these rooms on your sisters ships, and even when you were, you weren't sat down and explained what everything does. It's overwhelming, but exciting.
You really shouldn't, it's not becoming of a prince or a commander. But you're still just a kid, you've got impulses, and so you reach over and press a button at random.
Fayre==> Continue the slime-related questioning. You must get to the bottom of this!
Fayre: What kind of slime was it?
Sirius: Well, since you're so insistent, it was an alien species that snuck aboard the ship.
Sirius: Mostly harmless, a nuisance more than anything, and entirely sentient.
Sirius: It got stuck in the ventilation and, well, it was a messy way to die and got spread all over the Genesis.
Fayre: Ew
Sirius: took weeks to completely clean up.
Button==> Release fire retardant slime onto Commander Sirius.
Sirius: ....
Sirius: Great. Wonderful. Absolutely perfect.
Fayre: Commander?
Sirius: I'm sorry, Fayre, but you'll have to excuse me. I'm going to need to clean up.

You've no idea what that button just did, probably something completely lame or lackluster. Maybe you should have asked what these do before pressing random buttons, you could have gotten someone hurt.
A strange static noise fills the air for a brief moment.

Just behind you is a semi-transparent red figure, it's soundless, motionless, only the sound of the soft droning of the fans from the computers to be heard.

Orion ==> Oh, it's clearly just the holographic form of the ship's AI.
You straighten your back as you march up to the glowing, red, ethereal being, crossing your arms over your chest and trying your damned hardest to channel your inner Alula. It doesn't seem bothered at all, rather shifting so that it's arms are behind its back, or you think that's what it's doing.
This thing claims not to be a ghost, but was rather modeled after... Ghost. That means it has to be Novescalan, so it's probably not malicious, at least you hope so.
Orion: State your name!
Orion: A-and your, uh, function, that's also important.
It shifts again at your demand, moving an arm, and it's hard to really tell but if you squint hard enough you can just make out its hand resting against its chest. It's really hard with how little details this glowing thing has to it.

THETA: I Am The Leviathan's On Board A.I, As Well As Your Personal Assistant.
THETA: I Manage All Networks And Systems, As Well As Communications And Cyber Warfare Upon The Ship.
Orion: An... A.I... That's...
Orion: That actually makes sense, at least on the Flagship. Yeah, no, that sounds right.
Orion: I think, at least? But an A.I assistant?
You should have expected there to be one on ship, but its still strange, another thing to come with becoming a conqueror that you've not prepared for.
