Before you say "Homestuck again", I've already done so twice in the past week. I've also read Problem Sleuth, Paradox Space, Andrew's Formspring and anything else relating to Homestuck. What should I read/obsess over now that Homestuck is over?

There's a webcomic called Ava's Demon which I highly recommend. The artist used to work on Homestuck I think. It's the only other webcomic that I've read that isn't Homestuck and the artwork is amazing. It's currently on-going though and updates far less frequently than Homestuck. It has also had a lot of huge pauses and the comic hasn't really carried on with its story because of that. Although now that the kickstarter is out the way there may be more updates soon.

Something with a better ending, HEYOOOOOOOO
But seriously, there are many other webcomics to check out. Gunnerkrigg Court, Paranatural, Cucumber Quest and I guess that new NEOKOSMOS thing are all seemingly pretty popular with Homestuck fans. Or check out Steven Universe if you haven't watched it.
Also, this forum has a "Fan Adventures" section and there are some really good ones in there! I'd recommend All Night Laundry if you want a good archive binge. And it just started but I quite like Cult Following.

I'd look into other adventure-comics/forum adventures. Ruby Quest and Prequel are two of my recommendations, and I've heard good things about Paper Mario & The Everclear Night and Superego, so they're on my bucketlist, though I can't speak to them yet as I haven't read them.
You could also look into Hussie's work prior to MSPA, like Whistles/The Starlight Calliope.

If you like lego, I can recommend Legostar Galactica. It's like... everything scifi all stuffed into one Brick Built universe! And it's got a really decent sense of humor. The "Art" style has improved over the years as well, and the sets have gotten better too. Everything is broken up into episodic arcs, which are then broken up further into seasons! It's like Television made out of LEGO! It's had it's bumps and PAUSES... over the years, but it's still going strong today over a decade since it first started and doesn't look like it'll stop any time soon.

Maybe, maybe not? Depends on whether people want the next thing on their reading list to be a webcomic.

A good thing to check out would be Puella Magi Madoka Magica. I'm not going to say much about it, but it's definitely the weirdest anime I've seen.

It's far from the weirdest anime I've ever seen, but yeah everyone should probably watch it, since it's really really good. The ending of the series itself is kinda lackluster though, you really need to see the epilogue movie to get the most out of it.

(Is this going to be the new "Still a better love story than Twilight"?) Although I don't think it's lackluster, it just sort of happened suddenly.

For the last 6-8 months I have been... trapped by the ridiculous gravitational pull of the supervillain web serial Worm, found here. It's slowly devoured my brain as I become unable to think about anything else, a gibbering mess of aimless addiction to a series that's already ended, re-reading it in audiobook form and reading fanfiction in the hopes of getting another fix. So yeah, it's alright I guess. Also, have you tried One Piece™? Have some One Piece™ today, tastes great with milk!

I'd like to toss the webcomic Kid Radd into the ring for your consideration - it's sort of like Wreck-It Ralph! but with a very different tone and also much older (it predates Homestuck). It has a lot of themes like Homestuck's as well.

It's also the first webcomic I know of to use animation at all, and certainly the first to use it to any great extent. A webcomic that goes metafictional even more than Homestuck is 1/0. The writing and art is rough, but it's still worth a read IMO.

hopy shit ava's demon is actually LIVING again??!! geez, about time the dark gods delivered on one of their promises... it's a christmas miracle in april Actually, now that I finally have the published books and re-read them, the story (and characters for that matter) is actually not as great as I thought. Although I still really love Ava and Odin, the rest of the characters are ether boring, predictable or just really annoying. The pacing is terrible and the story goes on far too quickly. The comic definitely works a lot better reading serially, since I enjoyed it more reading it that way and the pacing didn't feel as bad. I'm also starting to wonder if maybe the author didn't truly know what she was in for when she started doing this comic full time, because the amount of pauses it has had is more than Homestuck's pauses and the comic has hardly moved on at all because of that. The same thing happened with the 2nd Kickstarter. She's similar to Hussie with the whole misjudging thing. I'm really hoping that after the flash and the kickstarter stuff is done, the comic can finally start going at a good pace. At the same time I'm worried about the author's health since she's always going through one obstacle after another.

I'd like to recommend the webcomic Blaster Nation. It's a pretty cheesy story about life, but it's entertaining, the characters are relatable, and the art style is great.

- Gunnerkrigg Court for serial webcomics. - Dinosaur Comics and Saturday Morning Breakfast Cereal for non-plot webcomics. -For traditional comics, please read Saga. It's one of the best. - Madoka Magica and Arrested Development for TV shows (the latter has the same Brick Joke and metahumor elements as MSPA) - Earthbound and Undertale for video games (though I'm sure most people on here have played Undertale lol) -Definitely buy a copy of Hussie's graphic novel Whistles, except that Amazon seems to no longer have it in stock... someone should beg the publisher for more lol -Shameless self-plug for the Unofficial Homestuck Prequel Comic Sandswept, but Homesick is also great and I have no vested interest in that. -Watch Con Air, Face/Off, and The Rock, the great Nic Cage 90s Action Movie Trilogy that is basically a codified part of Homestuck lore by now. If anyone has an archive of all of Hussie's old Team Special Olympics comics, that'd be good too, though the original site's been down for a while sadly. But yeah all of this stuff is definitely up any Homestuck fan's alley.

Yeah the Madoka Magica dub is pretty bad. The subbed version is the only one I can recommend.
Katawa Shoujo is fantastic, though not sure if all Homestuck fans would necessarily like it. It does have very strong characters with a mix of jokey-ness and seriousess, but it might be too "realistic" when it's being serious, rather than teen drama. Though I'm sure 90% of Homestuck fans will love it anyway because it's just good stuff.

I actually felt that the ending to the series was a lot more satisfying than the ending to the sequel film. But I'll second (or third or fourth) this recommendation.

Back to the main subject of this thread, if you're looking for something to read, I suggest you head over to the Fan Adventures subforum. There are many cool MSPA style adventures in there. If you like homestuck, then you should definitely give "cool and new webcomic" a read
