Kanny looked at his notebook's map. He didn't know if there were lakes in the northeast area, but they could follow the river and try to get there. This was going to be a long walk, for sure, but if that meant he could get out of there, he'd do it.
"Alright. So, what we're going to do is get there and try to find those guys. They know this land more than we do, they can help us try and find a way out."
He readjusted the crudely-drawn saddlebags on Steady's back, filled them with preserved peaches and bushtiger meat, water bottles and a couple useful things.
"Jason. Think you could handle a weapon?"
"Eh, I can do."
Kanny handed him his notebook, letting him choose a drawing. A couple moments later, he pulled out a small black gun, ornamented with silver swirls.
"That one shoots magic, no need to reload."
"Magic? I wonder where you got all of that from."
Jason sheathed it in his pocket, and looked as Peachy as it was grabbing a nearby fruit. It was doing funny things, like picking up a wood plank and shooting light beams. Jason tried to touch it, but the peachball hovered back, again.
"Think we should bring it along?", he asked.
"Maybe. Don't know. Whatever."
Jason grinned a little, looking at the sphere with amusement.
"Something cute like you can't be bad, right?"
He chuckled when the purple cloud surface barely grazed his fingers. It felt tingly.
"You sure are funny."
Once Steady was properly tacked up, Kanny glanced at the other crew members. He honestly didn't know whether they'd be useful or not, and didn't want to risk anything. He thought about it for a couple minutes, then made up a plan.
"Jason, Rose, you two come with me. Arayzeo, stay with Henry and the frozen ones, and defend our base from potential enemies. Speeder, you come along too and be our guide. Peachy..."
He looked at the peachball, unsure whether it could even understand him. Bet it couldn't. And even if it could, bet it wouldn't listen to him. He sighed.
"...just do your thing."
Looking at his map again, he got onto Steady's back, Jason behind, Rose and Speeder going by foot. He fed the steadrel a peach, put his notebook in his pocket, and started going northeast. The mystery would soon be unraveled.

((By the way, none of the Frozen did reply. There are three characters you can take control of, and they're quite empty and description-lacking so do what you want. From now on, no new characters.))

((I'm really sorry, but I think I'll be formally resigning. It was fun, but I've been keeping myself rather busy with my fanventures, and college will be starting soon. Even aside from that, I'm sort of bad at responding in a timely manner.
As for Arayzeo, I could write one more post for him if you'd like me to, but you can just safely assume he went off to explore the world on his own - maybe to return someday, if I feel up to it. Or alternatively he becomes frozen, if you'd prefer to keep things simple.
Sorry again, and I do hope the rp goes well.))

Somewhere... A young man lies on the ground. With him, a note that reads: "Morris"dude dude no we said no new characters it's too late for that dude no dude plz dude no plus that intro is unoriginal dude just no Anyway, Zerio, it's fine. I guess Strange Land is more of a hassle than anything, now. With half the guys gone and the other getting bored with it... It doesn't even have a plot or anything. Do you guys think we should make a last post, with the crew starting their exploration into the sunset or something, on a quest to find other survivors, and leave the story open-ended before it's too late? Like, will they find Angela and the Factory? Will the Frozen ever return? Will they ever escape Strange Land? We may never get to the end of those questions, so we might as well leave the answers up to interpretation. Tomorrow (or later) I'll make a last post, then maybe ask a mod to lock that thread once and for all. It's for the better good. I think I already know how i will end it, but for now, sleepin' time.

Kanny gazed at the horizon as they were walking. The sun was still high for a summer afternoon, but it would set in a few hours. Given they'd find a place to rest in, they'd survive the night. However, Kanny wasn't that much confident about their chances of survival anymore. True, what were the odds of them getting through the uncharted woods and territories, with a glitched robot dog as their only guide? What chances did they have against the fearsome bushtigers, or against other unknown predators? What if the head-vampires get to them before they even know what is going on? Lost in his worries, he almost drove Steady right into the river. He fastened his grip on the animal's fur, leading it back onto the path. Behind him, Jason moved nervously, wrapping his arms around Karmyn's waist to stabilize himself on the almost-tripping steadrel.
"Watch where you're going!", he snarled, more afraid than mean.
Kanny didn't reply, trying on focus on keeping Steady's walking straight enough. He lowered his head, not saying anything, already worried enough. Jason's grip on his waist loosened a little, while still staying firm. Kanny didn't mind the touch, as long as it anchored him onto reality. Gently, he put his hand over the man's, as if looking for comfort within their touch, to which Jason answered by letting their fingers lace together. It felt oddly warm, and he liked it. He wanted to get out of this place. He needed to. He would escape this prison of a world and return to his own, no matter the cost. Pushed by a sudden thrust of determination, he pressed Steady's pace, making the beast run onto their forest path. At their side, Rose and Speeder were still keeping up, without saying anything, save for a few beeps and whirrs from Speeder's part whenever its GPS signal was leading them into another turn. This looked like an aimless quest, and it was one. With each minute passing, Kanny was getting surer and surer that they'd die at the hands or fangs of some hideous and lethal creature. Even though Kanny was very emotionally detached, the death of his crewmates would certainly not pass as a casualty. Being alone against their enemy would be terrible; in all honesty, he was relieved to have someone at his side. Someone to fight with, who could help him, and whom he could help in return. He didn't know why he was so optimistic: maybe it was a natural reaction to the fear plaguing his mind? Maybe his old self was coming back from beneath all those years of selflessness and fight? Or maybe it was the way Jason's hands were curled around his', thick palms nested over his thin fingers, as if to remind Kanny that he wasn't alone, that there were people willing to help him. At this though, he smiled a little, and quickened their walk as the sun was coursing down.
“Hey, look! The dog's found something.”, Rose exclaimed.
Speeder had suddenly changed its course, now running towards some point between the trees, into the nearby red woods. Kanny looked at is suspiciously, before deciding they had nothing to lose. They followed the dog, by sensing its midorite trail, running east across trees and rocks. Unknown silhouettes were casting shadows over the trunks, but Kanny couldn't get a clear glimpse of them. New territories, new creatures. In a signature reflex, he readied his pocket knife. After a long course beneath the red leaves, sunlight showed itself behind the forest edge, before lighting the party's path as they crossed out of the forest. Some steps in front of them, Speeder was waiting for them, snout turned forward, as a dog's smelling a danger. Kanny got down from his steed, and walked to the mecha's level, breath nearly stopping as he gazed upon the landscape. Between the forest and the high mountains was a large valley, that surely spanned over a dozen of square kilometers or so. There weren't any vegetation save for the few red trees circling it. A large lake could be seen in the distance, the silhouette of some kind of mansion towering over it. In the ever-growing dark light of the sunset, this place looked creepy, mysterious, and filled with dangers. Kanny extended his arm, closed his eyes, and tried to sense nearby life forms; all he could detect was a huge, gigantic amount of midorite that made him sick only thinking about it.
“We're going to be killed if we set foot in there.”, he stated.
“But is it a reason to give up?”
Kanny didn't say anything. But then, after a second of silence, he chuckled, and turned to his friends.
“Fuck no.”
He smiled, a defying look in his eyes.
“We'll make it and get out of this world. I promise.”
He looked at the lake, at the mansion, at the few creatures he could see in the distance. He was scared, but it would never be a reason to back up and hide away. Not while he had the will to fight. Not while he had a goal to fight for. He breathed in deeply, calming his anxious nerves. He would do this. They would do this. There was nothing to fear, nothing to hide from. Nothing that could stop them.
“Let's go.”
Weapons drawn, their party advanced towards the Factory.
((Will they ever make it? Will they get out of Strange Land? Will the Frozen return to life? Will they unravel Peachy's secret, what led to the extinction of the green city, and what lies beyond the promising Factory? No one will ever know.
Thank you all, guys, for this weird and great adventure. It was fun while it had lasted, but all good things must come to an end. If you want to give the story a 'real' ending, I give up on the creative direction that OPs have bestowed upon me. Feel free to use this plot and do what you want with it. And remember: sometimes, things just have to be strange.))
